Maleedee Bay Resort in Ao Nang

The path down to hotel is very steep so us oldies would never have chosen this place if we had known about it. The reception we received was very formal. Given room Keys and expected to carry our own bags up steep upstairs so had to ask for help. The bed was clean and very comfortable but the bathroom was awful. Sink tap was only cold water and trickled out so slow it was impossible to wash. Toilet blocked twice as no pressure in cistern. Overall it is more like a Motel and could do with a bit of TLC but for the price it would suit budget travellers.

Rooms are nothing like online. Ant infested bathroom Woke up this morning at 6am (day 2) with x2 mice in our room coming in from the hole in the ceiling. Asked then Refused is a room change, place was dirty and staff were very unhelpful!! A staff member come into the room to help with the mouse that was in our room, got it after an hour of trying to catch it. As soon as they left I opened the bathroom door to find another one in the bathroom to which someone else come and killed… then left blood splattered all over the shower. I asked for a room swap to which at first they pretended like they didn’t understand me and instead just “checked us out” we then waited a further 30 minutes thinking something f was being done and I asked again for a room swap, the woman eventually agreed as new guests were coming in and I wasn’t shy about explaining the mice in our room. Otherwise I don’t think they were going to help us . The room they moved us into hadn’t been cleaned from the previous people who had been staying in there. At this point we just decided to shower & leave immediately. Avoid this “resort” at all costs. This was absolutely not a resort & you couldn’t pay me to go back!

Run away! The worst hotel I have ever seen in Thailand. The staff is extremely rude, all they ask from you is money and more money even though you are not getting the service you should. A misogynist hotel! On our last day at the hotel, I had my period while sleeping and the sheets got dirty, a video was taken from the room to our room and they demanded payment of 30€ but they were extremely rude and shouting in a way that was extremely hostile as if being a woman and having a period was a crime. We questioned why they were behaving like this and a middle-aged man from the staff tried to communicate but he was hostile towards me just because I am a woman, I have never experienced anything like this in my life. My boyfriend and I kept our cool and said that we would not pay just because of the disrespect they showed and that the amount was too much. The man started threatening to call the police and we said of course you can call them because for example it was not money but this was a huge disrespect for us, for a woman, for a human and natural thing. Before the police arrived, they told us sarcastically “hahahah you won’t even be able to leave the country tomorrow”. They said women don’t bleed in our country. The police came and tried to understand, we explained the situation to them and they approached respectfully saying "pay it, forget about it" but that man started yelling at my boyfriend even though we were talking in a very normal and calm manner in front of the police. I said let's pay and get out of here because it was very, very embarrassing for me to talk about something natural and human in public like this, my menstrual blood being shown to everyone in public and to talk about it as if it was not normal was incredibly bad and psychologically damaging, because of them I felt dirty and guilty because I am a woman. Definitely do not go, even if the price is reasonable, it is a place you should stay away from.

Very rude staff. Not cooperative at all. Need to improve their behaviour and courtesy. They are very very rude. Better not to check in here. They are concerned about money only. No telephone etiquette’s. Talk to guests rudely. Never ever going to visit again. Big no no no

I was with my friends at the hotel. We went to the beach in the morning for the whole day, returned in the evening and saw that after cleaning, money had been stolen from the room! The administration has not resolved this issue. I had to go to the police and write a statement. The hotel is far from the sea, about 20 minutes walk

we got yelled at by the receptionist because he didn't understand our joke 😡and he didn't want to know anything and he was too mean to us, a guy like him shouldn't be in contact with customers. . On the other hand, the valets are too kind and smiling. And to say that the customer is a king 😔
