Beach is quite far like 20 mins walking distance but they have free shuttle service to drop and pick up from beach.
For our negative point :
- We found the breakfast (European) in this hotel isn't good (like not fresh ingredients) and too expensive (250 bat per person). So it's not good value for money.
- There are shuttle buses to go to the city center but we found the schedules aren't convenient (the last from the center to the hotel is at 7 p.m) so we didn't use it. To go to the city center it's about 20 minutes walk.
Room were
Cleaned and refurbished daily and efficiently. However, the room are poorly maintained, there were holes in the wall that caused lizard to came in and cleaning was not great. But it’s is to consider that rooms are in the middle of the nature and that’s amazing. It came with a beautiful view of the mountain.
Staff did their best to accommodate our needs. Adina, the receptionist, it’s super nice!
Laundry service not recommended as I’m still finding itchy leaves/plant based attached to my clothes.
The rooms were comfortable and mostly very clean, but the nature of all of the varnished wood with rough edges is that some of it is a little difficult to dust. In particular, the fly net over the bathroom window in the shower of room 12 is really in need of a deep clean. The rest of the room was great though. We appreciate that in our room a nail above the bed made it the most convenient hotel for hanging a mosquito net. The smart TV meant it was the only place on our trip we could indulge in a little Netflix in the evenings, and the Aircon was great, too. The wooden furnishings are very charming.
The reception team were super helpful, and very kind. The pool was clean, and the communal spaces were comfortable. We didn't try the breakfast based on our dietary needs and having read some other reviews.
The only two things I would perhaps say is more than once we could smell guests smoking grass from balcony's which is not the hotels fault, but they could maybe have a sign on check in. The other thing is that if you've got a heavy bag, it is quite an athletic feat to get it up to a 1st floor room (2nd floor for Americans). My partner wouldn't have been able to do this without my help.
The hotel is setback from the main road, which means it's quieter. This is great.
Unfortunately on the last day of my stay I gave my clothes to the laundry. In my next hotel I checked the clothes and one of the shorts was missing. I contacted the reception but despite many attempts I was completely ignored…
The rooms are spacious, they are cleaned every day, offers 2 complementary water bottels daily.
Is situated about 20 min walk from the beach but very close to shops and restaurants but the location also has a small restaurant where you can have a snack at very good prices.
I highly recommend it to anyone.
