Pranee Beach Bungalows in Ban Bang Muang

Only had drinks and food (on 3 separate occasions). The initial impression was not that great but after we sat there for a while the charm of simplicity and friendliest of staff completely won us over. The food was very good, freshly cooked and full of flavour. The beer was cold and prices extremely reasonable. Well worth visiting.

We didn't stay here so I can't say anything about the rooms.
Eating: We ate at Pranees several times, both lunch and dinner. Both service and food were on top level. You will not be disapointed :).

I love it here! We only stayed one night but had a very memorable experience.

Rooms are simple and could use some updating (water pressure in shower was very weak, old appliances, power went out twice), but everything else was pretty amazing that this was a solid 5-star experience.

Pranee and the staff are super friendly and made us feel welcome from the beginning, encouraging us to lay on the hammocks as they brought drinks to us. The food was so delicious (highly recommend the pad see ew and kua gai), I didn’t expect it from such a small remote spot!

We had the beach to ourselves and sometimes maybe 2-4 others, a very nice break from the busy touristy towns. This place is a serene paradise and feels like a hidden gem, I’ll definitely want to come back!

Pranee is one of those “not so hidden” gems on Koh Kho Khao. This small, quaint and affordable beach bungalow resort is perfect for people that want affordable beach holiday with the care and attention to detail that comes with having Scandinavian owners.
Many of the guests that frequent this resort are “returning guests” that love the feel and location of this amazing little resort. Excellent food, famous massage ladies, nice clean accommodation ( with Air )and a fun, family feel is why this place has secured its reputation as one the islands premier holiday gems.

Very cosy and quiet. Rooms are spacious and fresh, all including a small fridge, water boiler, tv, airconditioner and storage for clothes. Really spacious porches with a table and chairs where you can easily sit even during rain. Ocean (and sunset) wiev from all the rooms (not including the 2 rooms separate from the main area). The rooms are practically on the beach, which has sunbeds, parasoles and a shower. Free Wi-Fi that works in the rooms, restaurant and on the beach.The restaurant is simple, built by bamboo and palm leaves but the menu is versatile with something for all tastes (including childrens). The food is amazing and costs are cheap to normal. During high season there is also a bar with a good variety of drinks. Service is great, they help you with just about anything and have good contacts for other services. There is a small clinic for easier conditions close by and in the harbour (15 min walk) there are a few more restaurants, a few shops, laundry service (with delivery to the hotel) and a tour center with a variety of activities provided. You han hire motorbikes or family tuctucs in the harbour or at the hotel to explore the Island or go over to the main land, Khao Lak is not very far. If driving is not your thing taxi services are good.

Nice place with very good food really cooked whith love. Today I had Pad Thai with shrimps that was really tasty. Plenty of sunbeds where you can stay in the shade or not. We stayed in a budget bungalow that is a few minutes walk to the beach with very good value for money.
