Hongte Khaolak Resort in Khao Lak

This is my second time staying at Hongte in Khao Lak, and once again it is a wonderful experience.

Phot and Oi, the owners, are incredibly warm, kind, and welcoming. They really make you feel at home from the moment you arrive.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, the pool area is lovely, and the location is perfect. It’s quiet and peaceful, yet everything you need is within easy walking distance.

Breakfast is super cute and thoughtfully prepared. Oi makes fresh eggs for you, and her banana bread is amazing.

I would happily come back again and highly recommend Hongte to anyone looking for a relaxed, friendly place to stay in Khao Lak.

totally clean and peaceful place. First U might think it is far from everywhere but no. 5 min to beach, 2 min to 7-11 and 5 min to market area. Staff was wonderful, helpful and smiling all the time. Egg station at breakfast was +. They have own TAXI service also.

Beautiful bungalows in peaceful grounds with a good pool and plenty of sunloungers just a stone’s throw from all the restaurants, bars and market. Our bungalow was spotless and cleaned every day, it was huge and very comfortable with a flatscreen TV (not that we used it), nice balcony, air con and lovely modern bathroom. The owners were very friendly and always on hand if you needed anything. We rented a scooter for our stay at an excellent rate, and they arranged transfers to and from the airport/ferry at a great price. Good breakfast. Thanks for everything!

The staff is super, super nice and helpful with everything. We arrived really late, which was no problem. They offer laundry service for a reasonable price, the breakfast provides everything for a good and health start into the day, even for vegetarians, the bungalows with both A/C and fan are clean and there is enough space. It is just a few minutes walk from the street with Restaurants, Souvenir Shops and Bars nearby. During the night it is quite. I enjoyed staying at this place and can totally recommend.

Truly a paradise. Great peaceful location. Spacious clean rooms. Lovely breakfast. Amazing, kind staff. In eight months of travelling across the world this was our favourite accom.

A small, family-run resort with very clean and comfortable bungalows set in a well-maintained garden. The owners were lovely and helpful throughout and we felt like we were their personal guests rather than just some tourists passing through. Fantastic location in a very quiet cul-de-sac, but literally only two minutes from the new food truck market and the centre with restaurants, cafes, bakeries and bars. The beach and night market are each less than 10 minutes away by foot. There's everything you might want at the Hongte (unless you are keen on the internationally owned, if impersonal luxury resorts). The breakfast buffet includes eggs cooked to order and baked treats (great banana pancakes!). There's also a pool which isn't huge, but large enough to swim lengths. Bonus: we organised our transfers with them at a very competitive rate and hired a scooter. Their vehicles and helmets are well maintained. Would highly recommend staying here.

We already stayed three times at Hongte and loved it more with each visit! The last time we booked the whole resort for a week during our wedding. The hosts Oi and Phot are one of the loveliest and forthcoming people you will ever meet. Whether you need a local recommendation, transport or anything at all - they will go out of their way to help you.
The resort is very quiet yet within walking distance of everything, the rooms are spacious and clean, the relating hideaway bar offers very good drinks at a super fair price.
Definitely recommend!

Loved the stay at Hongte, very helpful staff also breakfast was superb and especially lady chef took really good care of our requirements.

The rooms were clean, breakfast was very good with vegetarian options and 10 mins walking from beach.
