Big Resort was a ghost town. Staff are not proactive in their services. Yes they greet you but that's about it. Water from tap was brown on my first day. No tooth paste and brush. No room slippers. No robes.

What first catches the eye upon arrival at the hotel is its unique and distinctive architecture. The property has a certain character and seems to have been renovated in recent years to give it a fresher appearance. However, there are many non-standard rooms, and the cleanliness of the public areas leaves much to be desired.

A five-minute walk takes you to the beach, next to a café operated by an external contractor. Unfortunately, the staff there are not particularly welcoming, and it would have been better if the management of the private beach had remained under the hotel’s direct control. Most rooms share a terrace with 5 or 6 other rooms, and the cleanliness of these shared spaces is quite poor.

The main pool is large and clean, but the salty water makes swimming and relaxing less enjoyable. Overall, considering the room rates, the hotel feels reasonably priced, though its service quality needs serious improvement.

The lobby, designed in a traditional Arabic style, houses several in-house cafés and restaurants where you can order reasonably good food.

In summary, this hotel is average and certainly not up to the standard of a true five-star property. However, for travelers seeking a budget-friendly option with nearly standard facilities, it can still be considered.

We stayed here in early June, and I'm not sure if it's out-of-season or not, but the resort was rather empty, dull, and boring.

The beach wasn't really 'private', only part of the sand area is private, the water was, however, open to the public from the nearby beaches.

Also, the dinner buffet was closed throughout our stay, and the restaurant food wasn't all that great and was very pricey.

The WiFi is garbage, very weak in the rooms, and nonexistent in the beach.

The staff were nice overall and helpful, and the room bathrooms weren't bad.
Lastly, the hotel had a foul, sewage-like odor of varying intensity throughout but very noticeable in the corridors.
I don't think I'll be returning here.
Consider this a 2.5 star review. Overall, it was a mediocre resort.
