Hotel Dar Said in Sidi Bou Said

This hotel is just LOVELY. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help guests. Breakfast is good quality and is included. Also, the hotel has fantastic views to the Mediterranean and it has a very cute and peaceful garden. It was the highlight of my trip and definitely recommend!

This is a gorgeous hotel. It is beautifully decorated and is located in a magnificent area. . The bedroom is lovely, the bed is comfortable, the pillows are soft. The bathroom is fairly well stocked, however, a few things could be improved. There is not enough shelf space nor outlets in the bathroom, and there is nothing to put the soap on in the shower. Unfortunately, our shower was broken and we had nothing but scalding hot water. Other than that, the breakfast was excellent, and we had omelettes to order

Staff were great. This hotel is on beautiful grounds with a great view of the water. The rooms were average size with a modern bathroom sink and shower. Beds were comfortable. Furniture in the room was adequate. Quaint decor and colorful outside. There is a nice pool. good restaurants nearby.

There are some properties you want to describe with every superlative you know. This is one of them. Located in exquisite Sidi Bou Said, it is the home of a former president and has been turned into a jewel of a boutique hotel. I had room #12, a lovely suite, facing the pool on one side and a small courtyard (along with two more rooms) on the other side. The large room has a king size bed, sitting area with sofa and club chair, coffee table and desk. There is a short hallway leading to the bathroom and further on, a large closet with shelves, hangers and a safety deposit box. The entire room has gorgeous architectural details, good lighting, and a Nespresso machine. They think of everything here. After check-in, when I entered my room, BBC was already on the TV and there was a little selection of sweet tidbits on the coffee table. Wi-fi îs excellent, but if you can’t connect in the room, go to the lobby, where the signal is strongest, and connect there. When you return to your room, it keeps the connection. The hotel and its gardens are beautiful and well-kept, There is a set of stairs down to the main shopping area. And across the street is the excellent Dar Zarrouk Restaurant. If you use a walking stick bring it on your walks as the cobblestones are huge. A transfer to Tunis International airport (about an hour away) is 50 TD and the car picks you up at the hotels door. Make an reservation and pre-pay at the reception desk. I can’t think of a better place to stay in Sidi Bou Said. I would love to return some day.

The area reminded me of Santorini, white and blue buildings. The hotel is at the end of the road, so only foot traffic, very quiet. View from the cliff a short walk away, also numerous shops nearby. The hotel is small and quaint and attractive. Everything is photogenic. Rooms are adequate size, some quite large. Many by the pool, with direct access from the room, and others have a view of the sea. Interesting interiors. There is a seating area by the pool and also outside with a view of the sea. Friendly helpful staff, especially Ons at the reception desk. The spa is small, but Najwa has a portable cot that she can take to a room. Najwa's massages are calming, relaxing, soothing. I had one every day. The breakfast area is small but not crowded. Limited offerings, but everything is tasty and filling. I would definitely stay there again.

Stayed here 2 nights with our small tour group. We were in room 11 with a queen bed. Our window overlooked the pool. Room was compact but nicely decorated, although much plainer than some of the other photos posted. Walk in shower was great. Breakfast was a bit disorganized, mainly due to the small space. Assume in warmer months you can sit outside. Food variety was good and tasty - especially the fresh fruit juices. Views of the Mediterranean Sea and close to restaurants and shops.

This hotel is in a good location, and the service was excellent. staff were attentive and always willing to help.

The hotel garden is very pleasant, the swimming pool is very clean, and it is full of CBD in the blue and white town. A few dozen meters away from the internet celebrity cafe. There is free breakfast. Parking is also very convenient. Worth recommending.
