Salinas Beach Hotel Bodrum/Boutique Concept in Guembet

Absolutely shocking hotel. Arrived for a 2 week stay first room we were given was dirty, only enough room for the bed and no wardrobe. The air conditioning unit was hanging off the wall and holes with live wires. Demanded a move and was moved to a larger room however this wasn't much better. Mold and rust throughout with exposed wires. See photos. The grounds were full of weeds and discarded pieces of furniture. The food was terrible cold, bland and very limited choice in the 2 weeks we were there chicken, and kofta were the only thing served along with chicken nuggets at most meals. Food ran out and wasn't replaced we ended up paying to eat out and could not face the food. On a plus point if you want to eat salads all holiday they were OK. The drinks were again bland and very limited served in glasses that were constantly getting broken around by the pool. Running out several times especially the coffee. The person behind the bar was a wannabe DJ playing very loud inappropriate music with swearing not the type of music for the age demographics staying at the hotel. Despite several requests to turn the music down by multiple people the music remained loud competing with the music in the other hotels nearby resulting in a loud garbled mess which you were not able to relax. The Hotel has the potential to be a gem but the lack of attention to detail and staff who don't care. With a little TLC this hotel could be so much more given the great location 30 seconds to the beach. I will let the photos

First room filthy. Second room flooded. Third room OK overlooking pool. Would have been better if they hadn't decided to drag the heavy wooden sunbeds out and jetwash the pool area at 2am in the morning and chat like it's midday. The food. Lukewarm to cold and that was as the restaurant opened. What wasn't eaten at one meal was served at the next mixed up with something else to make it look different. I've never been to a hotel that doesn't have a toaster, Salinas doesn't have one or cups and saucers. All paper cups. Coffee machine forever not working properly until Sunday when it packed up altogether and wasn't repaired till Monday afternoon. As a non drinker I wasn't aware that they also ran out of beer. Drinks glasses around the pool that kept getting broken. Not the best idea. Sheets were changed once. Had to ask for toilet paper. The list goes on and on. The Salinas doesn't need some TLC it needs shutting down and a complete revamp. Take the pictures of it down as they must be at least 10 years old and nothing like it looks today. The pool and sunbeds are the only thing that are OK. Highlight of the holiday was watching two of the staff take 2 days to repair the door on the pool changing room.

- Not properly maintained
- Dirty and dusty
- No hot water
- Broken air conditioning, it dripped every night
- Bathroom sink and shower leaked onto the floor
- Mattress not up to standard, my daughter fell out of bed twice
- Staff not clean and not friendly
- Entrance not accessible to people with reduced mobility
- The spare linen is in a shelter (huts opposite the window) and you can see that it's not very clean inside
- The buffet is set up an hour before it opens, long live the cold chain
We ate outside every day for fear of getting sick
- I was lucky enough to see the state of the kitchen because the door was open... meals to avoid, the staff smoke inside the kitchen
- Room doors, impossible to open
- A rip-off for the price Paid
- No pool water safety precautions are taken
Hotel to AVOID

We have spent a week in this hotel. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, but the bathroom wasn't cleaned properly and there was mold in the shower. The towels and bedding were changed every 2-3 days. Often we didn't have warm water in the shower.
The pool was clean but we did not use it, we went to the beach. You can use the sunbeds on the beach, ca 200 m away from the hotel.
The staff was friendly but hardly anyone speaks English, even the lady on the reception. The food was good and there were various dishes for lunch and dinner each day but the breakfast was every day the same. The bar offered only beer, wine, vodka and few kinds of drinks, there was not much to choose from.
For the money we paid, we expected a higher standard. We've learned that the *systems in Turkey and Europe are not equal and a 3* hotel in Turkey is more like a 2* hotel in Europe.
There's not much to do at the hotel, but the atmosphere was nice, there was music, on one evening one of the staff sang some songs. You can play table tennis, sit with a drink and chat.
The Salinas beach hotel definitely needs renovation. If the rooms, especially the bathrooms were more hygienic, it wouldn't be that bad, as this is the main problem there. Even though the staff doesn't really speak English, they try their best and are helpful.
