Aydogan Otel in Rize

Not worth it's bang for it's buck! I should have stayed at Hotel 53 for $5 less even though their reviews were terrible. The location of the hotel is not that bad but not great either. About a ten minute walk from the central square. The area of the hotel is more industrial with a fair amount of tea shops and little markets.
The hotel itself is outdated and stained with smoke and a scent that someone is smoking 24hrs a day. The rooms are outdated, and there were roaches in my bathroom. I spent very little time in the room, though.
On a good note, the staff was excellent and accommodating regardless of the language barrier. The breakfast was good and had a variety of food. There is an elevator, so you don't have to lug your luggage up seven flights of stairs.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel for the price!
