Club Resort Atlantis in Sigacik

I chose Club Resort Atlantis because it’s advertised as a 5-star hotel, but in my experience it isn’t. We had standard rooms at first and after the first night I complained that the rooms were very basic and not comfortable at all—far from the level of luxury I’d expect from a 5-star. We were offered an upgrade to the newer family rooms, but only with an upcharge, which seems to align with other reviews I’ve seen. The hotel’s response was that it’s not a luxury 5-star, the concept is more about peaceful surroundings and a village-style atmosphere. That’s fine in principle, but even then some basics were missing which they can easily address to elevate our experience e.g.no table service anywhere during our stay. The all-inclusive drinks were extremely limited (e.g. no whiskey option) and the spirits were cheap brands. Small details added up, something silly like very cheap toilet paper is noticeable and overall it felt like cost-cutting and squeezing the most out of their guests. On the positive side, the food selection was good and well prepared and staff were friendly and courteous. I appreciate it was the end of the season, but we feel all services should still be available for paying guests. If you’re booking for genuine 5-star comfort and service, you will be disappointed. If you want a quiet, basic, self-service resort, it might suit you. I wouldn’t return unless all the rooms were upgraded without an extra fee and the service/all inclusive drinks offering improved.

The location is great, as well as the personnel who treats you as a king/queen. It is pet friendly. There is a large variety of food service, although the time offered for the restaurant is early and limited. Rooms are old but comfortable, however you need to be very careful to choose the superior one, if not, if you choose a normal suite, there will be only one air condition, one of the rooms will remain hot in summer. Also there are some blocks where there is systematic electric cuts. Every night at 4 o'clock we had electric cuts. You need to wait that technical guys arrive from 8 until they fix the issue. In spite of reporting many times the problem, the hotel wasn't able to fix it. We also experienced one day water shortage at noon. Finally if you have any impairment to walk, be aware of large distances from the rooms to the restaurant and pools. There is a mobile car service but you cannot go to all the beaches.
