Grand Hotel Temizel in Ayvalik

We stayed at the Grand Temizel Hotel in Ayvalik for one night as part of an RSD Travel package. Overall, I’d rate it 3 stars rather than 5. The hotel was very quiet, which was expected as we visited out of season. We were told this is mainly a destination for Turkish holidaymakers in the summer, which made sense as there isn’t much around the area to attract international tourists. Pros: The food was excellent, especially dinner – a huge selection with plenty of choice. Breakfast was also really good. WiFi worked perfectly throughout our stay. The private beach was beautiful, and the water park looked great (just a shame it was winter so we couldn’t use it). Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Rooms were decent – a little dated, but comfortable and spacious, so no real complaints there. One of the highlights was seeing flamingos in the wetlands behind the hotel – such an amazing sight! If you’re lucky enough to get a sea view room like we did, the view from the balcony is stunning. Cons: Not many negatives, but the hotel itself feels quite tired. The carpets seem very old and could definitely do with replacing, and overall cleanliness in some areas could be improved. It would also benefit from having a small shop or market on-site, as there’s nowhere nearby to grab snacks or essentials. Overall: A pleasant stay with great food, friendly staff, and beautiful surroundings, but the hotel could do with some updating and a bit more convenience for guests.

Definitely not a European 5 stars standard. The reader randomly detected the card to turn on the light in the room. The air conditioner did not work properly, the room was very stuffy. The window was closed due to the sweetish fetor floating outside. Hotel clean, food good and wide choice. Nice beach and swimming pool with sun loungers.

Beş yıldızlı otel olduğunu düşünmüyorum, memnun kaldığım en güzel yanı denizi, soğuk ama çok temiz harika bir plajı var. Temizlik konusunda, odamız çok hızlı temizlendi, yeterli değildi...Banyoda bulunan saç kurutma makinesi o kadar eski ki kullanmanızı önermem. Yemekler konusuna gelince ,sabah kahvaltısında çok çeşit beklemeyin, personel çok az ve yetersiz, öğle yemeği havuz başında ve inanılmaz izdiham ve çok steril değil, kamp gibi sıra bekliyorsunuz... Çocuk menüsü gibi nuget, soğan halkası patates kızartması olmazsa olmaz, meyve sadece karpuz var ve akşamdan kalan salatalara ilave mevcut ve çalışan personel sayısı az olduğu için masa temizliğine yetişemiyorlar, İçeceklerin hepsi açık ,kapalı içecekler ücretli, makinelerde içecekler bitebiliyor. Plaj bar ve snack çeşitleri çok az, sadece hamburger, tost ve yağı içine almış patates kızartması mevcut, Akşam yemeği en iyi öğün, çorbaları, tatlıları çok güzel ancak puding ve sütlaç keşke sütlü olsaydı.....Otelin yemek hizmeti içinde dondurma yok, beklentinizi çok yüksek tutmayın, Bu bölgede eğer arabanız ile gelmediyseniz en büyük sıkıntı taksiciler oldukça ukala bir tavırları Var, resepsiyondan taksi çağırdığınızda bekleme süreniz uzun ki 45 dk bekledik. Resepsiyonda çalışanlardan çoz azı güler yüzlü, Özkan bey denilen kişi biz otele girerken ve çıkarken bavullarımıza yardım bile etmedi, tavırları hiç kurumsal değil. Otelin animasyon ekibi insanları eğlendirmek için ellerinden geleni yapıyorlar, Pikocu adı verilen genç çok başarılı ,çabasını yadsıyamayız. Sarımsaklıda bulunan her şey dahil tek otel sanırım, konumu muhteşem ancak misafirlerinin geri bildirimlerini önemseyip kendilerini geliştirmeleri gerekir diye düşünüyorum.

Aspires to be four star but facilities are tired. Staff helpful if asked but not proactive. Unable to provide an invoice for bar tab so had to accept their calculation. Amount reduced when I asked to pay by credit card.
