Location is great, staff were lovely and helpful. They could do with new insulated doors for the noise, but it’s something that isn’t a big inconvenient. The breakfast was great and there is plenty of parking just in front of the building. Thanks for everything!

First impression was that the hotel urgently needs a renovation. But on the other hand: the room was reasonably sized and contained everything I needed. Good Wifi, working airco, small refrigerator, bathroom with shower and toilet, hair dryer, room for clothing, and a balcony for smoking, sitting or hanging your cloth when the need fresh air or drying. The matrass was quite hard, and there was no safe.
It's a family hotel, and the owners are friendly and helpful, lovely people.
The location is wonderful: walking distance to the beach, and in the neighborhood you can get everything. There is a small supermarket, an apothecary, lots of restaurants, and on walking distance a wonderful restaurant with live Turkish music after 20.00h. And because of the reasonable price of your stay in this hotel you have money left to visit the restaurants!

I honestly would have rated it at a 4 or 5 because of the price and quality ratio BUT I asked if I can extend my stay and due to language barrier they told me to wait for someone to come and speak English (even if I was using translator to Turkish) and after 30 min of waiting they told me it's all booked out.
I know it wasn't booked out when I came in the morning because they still had rooms free online. Only due to the staff making me wait for someone rather than taking care of the request more promptly, I was forced to look for something else.
I understand it's not their fault of being booked out, but 30 min wait was not acceptable without at least holding a room for me until someone could come and extend me.
In terms of other things, the hot water was a huge plus (lots of hotels in the area struggle with that), checkin was fast. Rooms were pretty outdated but looked clean although they definitely need to buy new towels. Breakfast was simple but great for the price of the rooms.

For the price the breakfast was a bonus but was quite basic but the outside seating and the pool area are excellent.
The hotel is privately owned and has a family feel to it, i felt safe there and they were lovely people.
The rooms are basic but a nice size but a winner for me was the balcony where you can hang your washed clothes the room also had a good fridge, the bathroom was very good as well.
The rooms are not cleaned daily so your not getting clean towels everyday day but just ask if you need them no problem, i just hanged my towel on the balcony it was dried in 5 mins (i think its a waste of money cleaning them everyday anyway), the wifi was good and there was a table and chair that i could sit at when using my laptop.
So at the end of the day its an excellent budget friendly hotel in a great location, you might not be living in luxury but your have more money to spend at the local restaurants which is a winner for me as Turkish food is fantastic...

Highly recommended budget hotel. Booked with breakfast only, as we wanted to spend time in sightseeing and other activities. Reception staff very helpful even though having language difficulties. Thanks to Google Translate communication was easy.

This hotel is nice and very clean. The single room has a little balcony. There are mini-fridge, electric kettle, TV, air conditioning in there. Everything works.
It would be good to add a pair of cups or glasses and some steaks of tea/coffee for a kettle in the room.
The bed is comfortable but pillows would be more soft.
The Otel Kartal is family business. Staying here I feel such a guest of friends.
Definitely this hotel deserves more than two stars.
