Royal Atalla in Antalya

Any review that claims this is a 5 star hotel has to be fabricated by the owners. This is the worst place that I ever stayed in. There’s no house keeping and the breakfast was completely old & stale. There’s no new towels. It’s extremely noisy, the walls are not sound proof. You can literally hear everything that happens outside as if you were part of the conversation. The old guy in the lobby probably the owner, stares at you as you come in and out the building. Water was leaking out of the shower which made the bathroom floor very wet and there was an old wet towel next to the shower that turned brown from how long it was there. Coming from Istanbul, this place was a big let down. There’s better places in Antalya so don’t waste your time here. You are better off paying a little more for some good quality sleep and a clean room.

The Worst Hotel Experience Ever – Avoid at All Costs!

Staying at this hotel in Antalya was hands down one of the worst experiences of my life. From the moment we arrived until the day we left – it was a disaster.

Breakfast:
The breakfast was so bad, I wouldn’t even feed it to animals. Tasteless, poorly presented, and downright disgusting – I don’t even want to imagine what their kitchen looks like behind the scenes.

Cleanliness:
The hotel was absolutely filthy. After every shower, the bathroom would flood. The sink was barely attached to the wall, the mirrors were dirty, and the floors looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. Towels and bed linens were stained, the pillowcases looked used, and the balcony was covered in dirt and dust. Even the soap and toiletries looked unhygienic and suspicious.

Swimming Pool:
We were told we’d be able to use the pool two days after arrival because it needed cleaning. We stayed for seven days – and it was still dirty and closed. Even if it had been clean, the pool is located next to a public street with no privacy at all. Anyone walking by can watch you swim – it’s ridiculous.

Staff:
The staff were rude and unprofessional. They knocked on our door constantly and made inappropriate comments. When I requested our room to be cleaned again, I was told the cleaner was “on vacation.”

The Worst Part:
We took the hotel towels to the beach – which no one told us was against the rules. The towels were included in the price we paid. After using them and handing them back for washing, a staff member showed up at our door with the hotel manager and accused us of “ruining” the towels, demanding we pay 1000 lira. Nowhere in the hotel or on their website does it say you can’t take towels to the beach. When we protested, they threatened to charge us 5–6000 lira if we “kept doing this.”
At checkout, we were charged 1500 lira because of the towels, and even accused of dirtying the bed sheets – which is completely normal after a beach holiday! We were treated like criminals over something that was never clearly explained.

Conclusion:
The hotel is dirty, the food is terrible, and the staff are disrespectful and disorganized. I couldn’t wait to leave. If I could give zero stars, I would. Do not book this hotel – it’s a complete nightmare.

NO STAR FROM US. Very very noisy as it’s on the main road it goes on all night and day.. no room service all week. No clean towels or empty bins.. the bathroom could do with more of a good clean. No kettle or mug or glasses to make a drink.. no no extra toilet rolls. Breakfast was very bad no juice of any kind no English tea only very strong coffee milk was not good.. you could smell smoke everywhere as people were smoking in the hotel and in the lobby downstairs might leave the family nowhere to sit and have a drink downstairs in the lobby because the family was there watching TV and smoking. No water in the swimming pool and very dirty all around it.. the pictures that show the hotel is nothing like it whatsoever so very bad all round. I would never stay here again..

The best review I can give this hotel. Royal City hotel Lara beach antalya is that it's a complete kip. Whomever the photographer is deservs every penny. I have stayed in better hostels on my backpacking days. There was cement on walls in bathroom. Paint chips on walls ,door skirtings, one side of the bed had no locker.the balcony could barely fit the two chairs. We were sitting under the AC unit on the balcony. The water pipe from the air con had nowhere to go hence the balcony was flooded.Room tiny. The holder for the key card was cellotaped together. Noting in the lobby only couple of benches and a few tables. Pool very small at front of hotel on main road. I had booked for 10 nights. Stayed 1 and had to book a different hotel. Feck it I work all year I wanted to enjoy my break. Any positive post here has to posted by the hotel. An absolute kip and I wouldn't be that fussy.tried to post and seemingly I have to tick all the boxes saying how good the place is. Ignore that

Buyer beware!!!!
If I could put negative stars I would! The only thing nice is the location. Other than that it is awful. I do not recommend at all. Not worth the money.
The only staff member we interacted with was the guy at the front desk. He was very short tempered. He had no patience. The room was not as advertised, they change their prices, online price is inaccurate. The bathroom tile was in bad condition, the water pressure in the shower was weak, and didn’t hold a steady stream of warm water. The room was very small they want to charge you for extra towels, they try to nickel and dime you to death.

We rented a room through Expedia. The pictures of the room we rented had nothing to do with the actual room. The room was very dirty when we went. it smelled of cigarettes. the sheets were yellow stained. As soon as we saw it, we checked out of the hotel directly. But they are not refunding our money. We spoke to Expedia and they said the money had already passed to them. The hotel charged us for the room we did not stay. We never recommend.

The hotel is unbelievably dirty and awful. We entered the room to have a look and the sheets and pillowcases were dirty and stained. We made a direct exit from the hotel and did not stay. I informed expedia that we were not staying, but the hotel did not refund our money. A very bad business and a terrible hotel. Never stay.

Stayed here only for a night on our trip to Turkey. It was the most expensive of all other hotels we stayed and the worst of all.
The bedsheets and towels were torn and dirty. The AC smelt like a drain so we couldn’t use it. Toilets were not very clean either. Really disappointing considering how they portray the rooms on ads versus how they actually were.
