Hayatli Konak in Sanliurfa

It was a wonderful experience! The staff was so friendly, the hotel was beautiful, everything we needed was in the room, the breakfasts were fantastic, and the location was perfect. The owner gave us a gift when we checked out, which was a very pleasant surprise.

Mehmet and the staff here were so hospitable and kind, we were very well taken care of. The breakfast is generous and quite good. The rooms are comfortable and feel clean and new.

Nestled in the quiet alleyways of the old town of Şanliurfa, we found a sanctuary that completely mesmerised us. Entering this former mansion now transformed into a charming boutique hotel, we were met by Mehmet. Even though we were walk-in clients, without prior reservations, he was welcoming and gave us a tour of the rooms, which were impeccably clean, decorated in the keeping with Urfa traditions, transporting us into another era. The courtyard, centred with a fountain, and a large citrus tree, opened to limestone staircases flanked by wrought-iron balustrades leading up to the higher floors. Between the rooms, there were comfortable seating areas in the traditional style. On the rooftop, daybeds were available to lounge on - weather dependent - from where the city of Şanliurfa and the nearby Halil-ur-Rahman religious sight was visible. The breakfast area was cozy, with a wood fire burning to keep us warm and a majlis-style lounge to relax in. The food was fresh and immaculately laid out at a time convenient to us as the guests. The hotel is walking distance from the bazaars, hans and the historical sights but also easily accessible for the road trips we ventured out on to Gobeklitepe, Karahantepe, Harran and Halfeti. Our 2 nights were too short and we dream of returning soon, to take in the magical ambience of this stunning hotel. We were presented with memorable gifts on our departure - a little piece of Urfa and Hayatli Konak that we will forever treasure.

Love this small family owned old ottoman style hotel so much! Their rooms are clean and comfortable and their breakfasts are simply wonderful. Kind and hospitable people and the most amazing service. Such a value!!

Hayatlı Konak, where we stayed for 2 nights, is perfect with everything. Hotel owners and employees are very warm and helpful. After visiting Şanlıurfa, you can sip your tea on the terrace in the evening and relax in a wonderful way. The breakfast was also so good that if you don't come, you will miss a lot 😀

Fantastic experience with fantastic hosts. Everything here feels like home, from the attention during breakfast to the sweet puppy that loves all his guests. The rooms are fantastic & elegant, with the architecture of the hotel not tampered for 100s of years. Highly recommend this hotel!
