A hidden gem in Brighton!
If you want a cosy and personal hotel which doesn't feel like the usual chains, The Claremont should be on your list.
The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast service was great too. The walls are adorned with art by various local artists, many of which are stunning, and reasonably priced! And Alicia and Anna at the front desk were always super helpful.
The location is very close to many of the central attractions, but not noisy or chaotic at all. Just steps from the beach. Highly recommend.

Excellent small beauty hotel. Location is great for Brighton as you are only a short walk or an even shorter Uber ride from all the madness of Brighton. Lovely breakfast each morning and great pubs cafés and bars only a short stroll away. Our room was huge and tastefully decorated. All of the walls are covered in gorgeous artwork many of which are for sale. It’s like staying in your art gallery!

The staff are incredible, breakfast is not so great to be frank. Room was a little dated and weird art work adorned walls. Staff make this place!

My friends booked me a surprise birthday afternoon tea - the downstairs wasn't free but the staff layed on a lovely spread in one of the rooms! Food was fresh & homemade & staff were fab, such a little gem of a hotel & the birthday decorations was such a nice touch!

Gorgeous we had a lovely stay and it was ideal for the cricket ground. The whole experience was fabulous. The retro sweets in the room was a great touch. Apparently the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs was delightful.

Claremont Hotel is a beautiful building filled with interesting artwork. Close to the sea, shops , cafes and restaurants of Hove an ideal place to stay. Homely with a tasty freshly cooked breakfast. We will be back for sure

My bed was comfy and room was serviced everyday throughout my six day stay. The front door of the building is locked all the time so one has to always carry the key. The general area and my room were full of oil and watercolor paintings for sale which adds a warm touch to the overall feel of the hotel. I love the light breakfast everyday with a smoked salmon and scrambled tofu and a cup of peppermint tea. The staff wwere friendly. The bathroom was super clean and the soap and lotion was ok at the best. The Claremont is on a quite street at least during the weekdays and half a block from the beach. Seagulls make noise and there are a couple of nice restaurants and bars on the street. I have seen a squirrel in the garden once and there is a nice atomic wall clock in the drawing room.

The hotel is 2 minutes from the beach, w mins from local shop and bars and resturants. Its in a brilliant location.

Been eating at GFC for over 7 years but has gone down hill.
When I lived in Brighton, I'd occasionally order from GFC and the highlight of their food was the hot wings. Big sized wings with a nice spicy taste. The fried chicken also had a tasty and unique coating. However over the past 2 years, I have seriously seen a change and have seen how this place has gone downhill. Whenever I visit Brighton, I usually order from here. However the past times that I have ordered in the last few months including last week, were very disappointing. Chicken was bland no seasoning or flavour like it had years ago; just pure grease and doesn't taste fresh. The most disappointing thing was also the wings. They no longer have that great flavour that I experienced years before. Just plain and no freshness. It's a shame that This place which was once so good, no longer puts much effort into food..
I hope the owner sees this so things can change. Even though I had a few bad experiences, I kept ordering just in case they made the nice recipe again for wings and chicken but now I have given up. I can't keep ordering and getting chicken and wings that doesn't satisfy one's pallet.

Had a minced lamb kebab on Tuesday night, Nov 28,2017, vomited twice yesterday and ran a fever overnight, still not right almost 48h later. Do not eat here, I will be informing Environmental Health.

Twice I've ordered food here, twice they've got my order wrong. The first time they got my burger completely wrong, but sent out another straight away (and it was very tasty). The second time they didnt put cheese in my burger AND I'm missing onion rings. Food is alright but save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.

Ordered £70 takeaway and the guy got the order completely wrong called up and he said the driver would come and pick it up and return the money. Waited half hour and called up again to see what was happening. He then accused me saying i ordered wrong when he heard the order wrong. Absolutely awful behaviour and attitude over the phone so bloody rude. Ended up having to eat a cold takeaway an hour after it was delivered as the guy was not willing to own up to his mistake and blamed me saying i ordered the wrong food and lied saying the driver would come and pick the food up!

Had our Christmas do here and couldn’t fault anything. We had a 20 strong party and everyone was thrilled with there food. The staff went out of there way to make us all have a fantastic evening I would highly recommend this place.

Having never tried Mexican food before, this was a first for me. I discovered that Mexican food is too spicy for my palate. Even the rice was spicy. The service was good though.

Went there with my family. Food was delicious and service was brilliant. I would honestly be visting again very soon and would recommend this place to all my friends.
