Lovely stay, great location. Very clean and lovely helpful staff.
Such a lovely hotel! Very clean, convenient location, friendly and helpful staff! The bed was so comfy too had a great nights sleep! 10/10!
Booked a 3 night stay at Queen Hotel in Chester and it didn't disappoint. Beautiful decor throughout the hotel and the room was perfect. Didnt dine at the restaurant but ordered 2 bar meals which the food was plentiful and delicious with an excellent choice. Room service was excellent too as we ordered drinks to the room and also some sandwiches and soup. The breakfast was excellent too. All staff...
The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was fabulous, the buffet breakfast was great. Everyone from the guy at reception to the fascinating guy on the bar to the lady who showed me in to breakfast, was friendly. But even more, the feel of the place was unique and special - not least the views of some fabulous Victorian statues from one of the corridors, which gave it a magical, secret garden...
Me and my fiancèe loved every minute of our stay here. Very happy with our room and the service was excellent. We had a main meal there, which was delicious and our breakfast the next day was just as good. Everything about our experience was very pleasing and we're planning to come back again soon.
We could not get the heating to work so reception did add a heater in our room, the bathroom makeup/shaving mirror light did not work, so I mentioned this to reception on my check out, plus new pillows would be advisable as they were very lumpy, otherwise we had a nice stay. We did not eat in the restaurants.

Nice stay not far from Chester city centre, free parking, free swimming pool
A nice place to stay for a few days
Photos on the website make it look great. The room was in poor condition and not particularly clean. Did a job as somewhere to sleep but certainly didn't live up to expectations
As always - excellent. The breakfast is superb and Akash and Muslim are brilliant on reception. Akash was tremendously helpful in standing for our room to be changed.
We had a lovely time it was one of our celebration for our 50th wedding anniversary and the staff were great. I had knee surgery 12 weeks ago. They made sure we had a downstairs room and even found another chair to go in our room as I needed one with arms on to get up. We had dinner at the restaurant Friday evening and the food and service was quick and excellent.
Lovely pool and spa facilities, and great customer service as they extended the pool times for us as we were running late. Gorgeous grounds and views during breakfast too!

By far the best hotel in Chester. A true British gem
Loved the hotel, location and staff. A little dated in decor but overall a wonderful stay.
Members of staff were very attentive. The food was lovely. The lift to access the car park broke down when we were there. There was an alternative route, it was a little tricky to get to though. If you want a room with an accessible bathroom you might have to book early.

Says breakfast included but only continental stuff worth pennies. Have to pay £12 for hot foot and tiny portions. Was booked in SGD but billed as GBP so doubled price. Wasn’t worth that amount of money. “Courtyard view” means multi story car park view.
Brilliant service as always! watch out for breakfast type when booking.

The Mill Hotel & Spa, Chester1 / 26

Chester, Milton Street (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Service at the hotel was excellent, staff were very friendly and accommodating. I had a snack (Fried chicken wing starter) which was also very good. I didnt use the spa so cannot comment. The location was excellent 9 min walk from the train station. I would definitely stay again if I returned to Chester.
Brilliant hotel. Room large and spacious and clean. Breakfast plentiful with lots of choice.
Amazing !! Friendly staff , amazing spa facilities and a lovely clean room .
A nice stay at The Mill, food and service were great, the bar had a nice vibe…setting was relaxing, nice to see the ducks on the water…excellent location for walking into Chester. Room was very comfortable, staff were helpful and welcoming. Top marks go to Sam, absolutely first class, every guest was met with a smile and cheery attitude, nothing too much trouble, thank you Sam, you really are a breath...
A nice clean hotel, close to Chester City Centre. Limited parking facilities, with very friendly helpful staff. I will stay there again and I recommend this hotel.
Smashing hotel in smashing location with ample parking, staff friendly and helpful, bar staff on the ball,  small issue but previous guests bikini top found down side of cabinet in room which was easily spotted, only other complaint is our stay was not long enough, will definitely book further stays at the Mill Hotel and Spa.

Holiday Inn Express Chester - Racecourse by IHG, Chester1 / 23

Chester, The Racecourse, New Crane Street (in the centre) 🧭 Map
I booked around a month in advance for a double room but I am allocated to the ground floor. A bit disappointed. Typical English breakfast selection. The room is spacious, shower is a bit worn out. Generally okay.
The hotel is bright on its appearance and modern in its lobby. Breakfast is great and hot. Just bear in mind you have to pay for the parking.
Had a lovely evening away staying at the holiday inn express by the racecourse. Really nice relaxed atmosphere, lovely staff and the breakfast was really tasty.
Great location for Chester and fantastic that it comes with breakfast! Room was basic and some dust but still good quality.
Room was spacious with everything you need however could have done with an extra plug by the bed as only had one on one side. Breakfast was good parking was good and everyone was friendly. Check in and out was super easy too
We got a great deal on the price, perhaps due to the time of the year. The location is excellent, parking is £10 until 14:00 the following day. Good breakfast.

Lovely hotel even let me keep my stuff at hotel while i visited my grandad in hospital and i could also check in early not far from wrexham or Liverpool and in town center and was quite will come again
Perfect location. Easy access to main shopping and restaurants
Location is great however the hotel is a little tired and needs updating! We couldn't switch our heating off so was a little warm to sleep. Our kettle and tea making was hidden away in the wardrobe and no USB charger points plus our toilet paper wasn't replaced even though we asked for the room to be serviced! breakfast was ok but the plates needed to be cleared away as 5 tables still had plates on...
Great location in a historic building. Only downside was taxi booked by hotel did not show up early morning and had to be rebooked but made my train ok
Great hotel located in the heart of Chester
On the first night I was out in a small room which was stuffy and unventilated, however after complaining I was put in a much nicer room for the rest of my stay. The second room had a good view and a/c. Location is superb for Chester Centre.

Chester, Parkgate Road (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
I booked last minute as there were only two available hotels and I'm so glad this was one of them, made me feel at ease and relaxed. Thank you so much
The smell in the corridors during the walk to our rooms unescorted was quite dreadful. There was a very strong odour of dampness . The decor was tired wallpaper hanging off the wall. The doors —we went through three to get to our rooms - were grubby and needed a good scrub around the handles .   Our room was large but the furniture was basic. The bathroom needed the bath regrouting and given a thorough...
We enjoyed our stay at the Crabwall Manor Hotel and Spa. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff was very welcoming especially at reception.  Our room was very suitable for a person with disabilities being on the floor and having a walk-in shower. We look forward to returning next  year.
Excellent hotel. Large free car park. Fitness centre has everything you need
Still a good place to stay but really needs a face lift now and the room was dirty
Lovely location. Bathroom was a little tired. Mould not cleaned.

I absolutely love the room we've been put in here and the staff are so lovely. It's a family business and you really feel that - lovely people who make you feel incredibly welcome :) also the food is wonderful. The salmon is absolutely gorgeous and the chips are genuinely some of the nicest I've ever had. Would really recommend this place and will definitely stay again.
Very friendly and accommodating hotel. Staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Room is very comfortable, cosy and clean. Ideal location for walking distance to Chester city centre (20 mins walk). Thoroughly recommend.
The room was great, the staff very attentive, but ruined when leaving at checkout to find the hotel house innigrants from Sweden.
quiet place, ideally located. bit pricey but as to be expected for Chester, recommended
Very nice hotel to stay at. Welcoming staff, very attentive. Rooms on the whole are spotless, we had an issue with the shower which needed cleaning but apart from that which didnt affect our stay at all, a very nice place. I would definitely go back, and next time bring the children, as it is very conveniently placed for all amenities. EDIT: this review was written BEFORE checking out of the room....
We stayed here for the Chester marathon and had a lovely time. The staff were super friendly and the room was lovely. Breakfast was nice with plenty of options and it had free parking for hotel guests. The hotel was about 20/30 mins walk into the city centre. Thanks :)

This was our third stay and will definitely be back it is a lovely friendly place to stay and close to town centre. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent
A pleasant stay for 1 night. room was comfortable, however I forgot how small a double bed was for 2! The room had all the amenities we needed, bathroom was v clean and the breakfast was great. It took us about 25 minutes to walk into the centre of Chester, so not as close as we would have liked.
Fabulous stay and the area around is full of lovely restaurants and delis, coffee shops. Breakfast is exceptional and will stay again when in the area
The area was a great place to stay for a visit to Chester. A 15-20 min walk to the city centre. Some great restaurants round the corner. We went to Poco and Faulkner arms pub for a meal both gorgeous with fantastic friendly staff. The hotel staff were so polite helpful and friendly. The room was small but didnt need a bigger room only a base. It was clean and modern with great facilities coffee machine...
Nice property, but certainly a little overpriced for this style of accommodation. Very skimpy portions for the afternoon tea and presentation was 2/5. Breakfast needs to be served earlier than 8am. People who are travelling often need to be out the door by 8am, so this is less than ideal. Staff seemed to be stretched very thin and breakfast prep took longer than it should. Room was cold with no...
Very Good for a City Break This would have been outstanding as the decor and breakfast were outstanding but the wifi would not work in the bedroom. The staff were unable to resolve this so we had to sit in reception to use the wifi. Other guests had the same problem.

The staff were all lovely, very friendly. Simon, Freya and all the people we met were great. The room was very comfortable a great shower and plenty of storage space. Breakfast was superb and cooked to orderr
Glad we stayed in the Golden Eagle, short walk to centre of Chester. The reviews were right, lovely stay, great breakfast, topped up filter coffee was a great touch, the sausages were very good quality. I would stay again, had everything you need and a pub downstairs With friendly welcoming staff. If you want a change from your typical hotel chain, give this place a go.
We had a great overnight stay. The room was as described—comfortable and clean, with a really comfy bed that gave us a great night’s sleep. Excellent central location, very friendly and helpful staff, and a fantastic breakfast to start the day. Would happily stay again!

Lovely break in chester, Stayed at the chester house guesthouse, this will be the fourth time we have stayed. lovely room very comfy and the staff are lovely, good selection for breakfast, with in walking distance for chester city centre, ideal location for a visit to the zoo.
Wonderful hotel. Delightful host, friendly accomodating staff. We had a ground floor apartment with parking directly outside.Very convenient.Lovely quiet modern hotel with every amenity and top it all a 10 minute stroll into the city. Highly recommended
We recently stayed at The Chester House Guest House, it was perfect! The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was good with a large walk in shower. The bed was good, nice to lay on to watch the large flat screen TV on the wall. Little things like complimentary shampoo, shower gel and conditioner made the room just right, not to mention the tea, coffe and milk next to the kettle. The breakfast...
We had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and very quiet, which made it easy to relax and get a good night’s sleep. Everything felt well looked after and comfortable. Good , comfy bed. Well equipped. Good choice for breakfast. Won't be returning as there was an overpowering smell of air freshner throughout the guest house. I had to open the bedroom window out wide for several hours for the smell to go out! Such a shame.
Loved staying there. Very clean, very friendly staff and lovely, warming classic guest house vibe. Every future trip to Chester I’ll be staying there.
