This was our third stay and will definitely be back it is a lovely friendly place to stay and close to town centre.

A pleasant stay for 1 night. room was comfortable, however I forgot how small a double bed was for 2! The room had all the amenities we needed, bathroom was v clean and the breakfast was great. It took us about 25 minutes to walk into the centre of Chester, so not as close as we would have liked.

Fabulous stay and the area around is full of lovely restaurants and delis, coffee shops. Breakfast is exceptional and will stay again when in the area

The area was a great place to stay for a visit to Chester. A 15-20 min walk to the city centre. Some great restaurants round the corner. We went to Poco and Faulkner arms pub for a meal both gorgeous with fantastic friendly staff.

Nice property, but certainly a little overpriced for this style of accommodation. Very skimpy portions for the afternoon tea and presentation was 2/5. Breakfast needs to be served earlier than 8am. People who are travelling often need to be out the door by 8am, so this is less than ideal. Staff seemed to be stretched very thin and breakfast prep took longer than it should. Room was cold with no control in room over the ambient temp. It's a long walk from the train station and cabs are very difficult to get.

Very Good for a City Break
This would have been outstanding as the decor and breakfast were outstanding but the wifi would not work in the bedroom. The staff were unable to resolve this so we had to sit in reception to use the wifi. Other guests had the same problem.

Did come for the Monday offer, but was told it wasn't on in December. The food was brilliant very tasty and made to order beautiful in every way. Staff very pleasant and attentive combined with a great atmosphere it was a great evening out. Just let down by the Monday offer not on in December.

Special request fulfilled,menu very good as was the food,staff very friendly and efficient,nice atmosphere all in all a very good evening to celebrate the wife's birthday.??

Was here for brunch and had the smashed eggs, which were amazing. My son had the burger which was a good sized portion and not too expensive. Decor is nice and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

Myself and my mum and sister use to come here for a pub lunch. It has been refurbished since we were last here. Still friendly and amazing atmosphere. Best beef and ale pie I've ever tasted.
