Manchester, 2 Mercury Way Trafford Urmston, Manchester, M41 7Pa, United Kingdom (7 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Since quite some time ago back at the Holoday inn Express. As usual for the Holiday Inn Express you know what you get. Location is very close to Trafford Centre Mall. Improvement would be EV charging possibility on site. Next door are fast chargers, not sure if the parking of the restaurant closes
All good need to upgrade breakfast
Location is good near central
Parking on site
Overall good
Have stayed here quite a few times, never disappoints. Friendly staff, excellent location, good choice for breakfast.
Spacious room, cleanliness is okay. No difference in breakfast choices everyday. A few mins walk to Trafford centre which is nice and convenient.
Great location, and the room was clean and comfortable! The front desk staff were also very friendly!
This hotel is near Trafford centre.

Clean, comfortable, tasty breakfast. Good choice for a budget stay. Stairway is amazing 😍
The location is amazing, right in the centre of Manchester. The hotel looks great from the outside, the lobby is very grand. It has a great bar - Rogue bar. However, our room was not very clean. There was hair on the floor. The bathroom was not nice at all. The shower floor was dirty, and it had not had a deep clean. The service in the hotel was okay, nothing extraordinary. I wouldn’t return overall...
Great customer service clean room and right in the middle can't pick a better hotel. Will stay here again
The hotel has a great location and is very clean, but the soundproofing is terrible, the room layout is uncomfortable, and the pillows are extremely hard, making it difficult to fall asleep.
Really good design and decoration of the hotel. The location is really nice close to train station. Good value for this price.
The room we got was larger than what we booked, which was a pleasant surprise. However, the breakfast selection was a bit limited, and the hotel itself feels quite old. It even took me a while to figure out how to turn on the shower.

There were two single bed in the room, but both of definetely not comfortable please change the bad
Clean rooms, friendly staff, close to transportation, and fully equipped with amenities.
The location is good. Room mmets expectations, but not the front desk staff. Tired or not? Totally no smile. Seems not whole-heartwdly to serve... First impression is quite important for a hotel stay. The long face was just like the officer's in customs.
They need to provide the slippers for the toilet and shower and also the shaving kit and tooth brushes with tooth paste.
The breakfast was very awesome and we enjoy it very well.
A small refrigerator for the room we were having a baby 3 months old and we need to save her milk in the refrigerator
Amazing! Nothing much to say. Clean rooms, lovely breakfast. Beds could be better though as mine was very springy, noisy and uncomfortable when moving in bed.
I found my stay to be excellent value for money and staff were quick to respond considering the volume of incoming visitors as we all seem to arive at same time... There was a good selection of fresh and hot breakfast items regularly replenished by staff. My room had new facilities, hot shower, heating and air conditioning and was maintained to a high standard and comfortable beds with a good view...

Great location. Staff helpful. Rooms clean. Nearest car parking 5 min walk - half price voucher from hotel added bonus 😊
Super enthusiastic service, with a welcome drink of Long Island Iced Tea. There's a 24-hour gym nearby, 'the real,' and a Nanos roasted chicken shop downstairs, which is incredibly convenient. The breakfast is fantastic, definitely a must-try!
I absolutely loved this hotel! I went with my 13-year-old daughter, and she absolutely loved it too. The place is so quirky and charming, and we really enjoyed the photo booth and all the games we could play while having a drink. The staff was wonderful, and we felt really well taken care of. The breakfast was fantastic—you even get to make your own little pancakes! We've already booked our next stay...
Another stay at the Moxy. As always everything exceptional, the staff can’t do enough for you. Lovely corner room on the top floor. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. I will certainly be back there soon.
Our first stay at this hotel was rather mixed. The service from the front of house team was great. Very friendly and relaxed. We knew from seeing other reviews that we would be offered a complimentary welcome drink. However this was a Long Island iced tea with no alternative offered other than a non-alcoholic version. This isn’t a drink that either of us like so was of no value to us. The room was...
Only 2 people take care of check in which makes it really slow. The room was comfortable. Breakfast was acceptable.

Good location room was too hot their was a fan but it didn’t really help much but it was a clean space
Right in the city center of Manchester, close to two train stations. The facilities are a bit old, which is to be expected for an older hotel. The service was pretty good too; I paid a little extra for an upgrade.
Great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great.
Rooms - Dusty as hell. Everything else was quite clean minus the walls, was able to finger swipe a print onto the wall because it was so dusty.
Service - Lovely, quiet staff but did they jobs.
Location - Very central, easy to access central train stations and bus lines. Near restaurants and hip areas to explore during the day!
Actually I never expect for anything with this price but there was no electricity available at around 4:00 a.m.
By the way thanks Trip.com so much for quick response and help.
Don't understand why there are so many negative reviews.
This hotel is definitely value for money. The location is fantastic. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff was pleasant. Not sure what other people are expecting for the price.

Great location and good service. Breakfast buffet is good and now too busy. Rooms are spacious and clean.
Great location and very polite staff. The room was spotless, and everything was perfect except for the hairdryer, which was out of order.
It was absolutely amazing the stay however there was a red stain on the carpet other than that it was one of the best experiences I've had at a hotel.
Everything was just fine. But they should gube room tissues as well and a smart android Lcd
Overall was a decent stay. Walking distance to main universities in Manchester like MMU and UOM. Also walking distance to main train and tram station ( Piccadilly Station). Have many restaurants nearby.
The location is excellent and the staff are polite and all respectful . The only thing that made my stay unconfortable is the next door guest who keep bouncing on the wall like playing a ball. Also the toilet tissues are empty on the second day and the coffee and sugar were empty and didnt change my cups as well. Aside from that, its great!

Room cleaned daily, fresh towels too.
Breakfast was great thanks
Nice hotel. Absolutely spotless throughout. The rooms were really nice and had everything you'd need for a short stay. Will definitely stay again and would highly recommend 10/10.
Great place to stay , warm , quiet , clean and well placed for amenities
as always, really helpful staff throughout.
Despite a continued aweful smell in the corridors, the rooms are perfectly clean and pleasant with no smell.
Issue this visit was despite having a do not disturb notice on my door, room service still knocked on which was dosturbing.
All was satisfactory, loved the bar and their service
Basic good value hotel with all that you need for an overnight stay.
Staff very friendly and happy to help.
Had to change rooms as first one stunk of ********, no problems in doing and very apologetic.

So no issues with the staff down at the reception area at all, doing a smashing job representing the hotel, telling us about the app too upon arrival... check in the hotel earlier with app very cool, very nice, also the reception area is where the big bosses of this hotel choose to spend most of their budget as when you get to the rooms it does show.
Cleaning staff - now what are they doing? Because...
Great location, reasonable price, good breakfast. We’ll be back. Perfect for FUMO.
This hotel is pretty average. The location isn't too far from Oxford Road Station, about a 10-minute walk. The main issue for me was that I was there to watch a football match and couldn't check in early; check-in was only after 3 PM. This really put it behind other hotels, where you can usually check in as soon as you arrive! The room environment was also just okay. There were no tissues provided...
The hotel's location is excellent, close to two train stations and Manchester University, as well as nearby attractions like the Museum of Science and Industry, which you can reach by free bus. The room size was good, and it was very quiet, with a hairdryer provided. The hot water was great, and the self-service breakfast had plenty of options. They also have a water dispenser for guests to refill...
I was very satisfied with my stay, as it was close to the city center, included breakfast, and was very affordable. My flight was cancelled, so I had to book last minute, but the hotel was incredibly helpful. They let me store my luggage before check-in, I ordered room service for dinner, and they even accommodated my request to extend my stay.
The facilities, hygiene, environment, and transportation are all good. The male staff at the front desk was also very nice. However, the female cleaning staff had a terrible attitude.

Very pleased with:
location ✅

Great level of customer service ✅

I have every intention of staying here again. Thank you!
Staff went above and beyond expectations in customer service and making our christmas experience a positive one. We really enjoyed our stay all the staff were welcoming, we ate in restaurant and food was very good value, and despite the bank holiday they happily prepared meals and drinks we requested and wished us well on our departure.
Although we booked a family room, it felt too small for the four of us (two adults and two children). The location is quite convenient, situated around the bay area. It was pleasant to walk around at sunset, and there were several good restaurants to choose from nearby. Breakfast was simple but acceptable.
A very old hotel, good for a night stay to watch Manchester United games.
Check in experience is good 👍 awesome!

Everything was fine overall, but I did receive an electric shock from the phone socket. 😢
I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at the Pendulum Hotel. The staff were unfailingly polite and helpful, and my room was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The location is excellent for getting around Manchester, and the neighbourhood where the hotel is has a calm, welcoming atmosphere. I’d happily stay again and would certainly recommend it to others.
Had an exceptional stay at this hotel! The entire place was spotless and immaculately maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The breakfast was truly amazing, offering a wide range of choices that catered perfectly to different dietary needs. Everything was fresh and delicious. I can't recommend this place enough!

This hotel was a positive surprise to me. I did not expect more than a bed to sleep close to the center of Manchester for the price I paid for the stay and they offered so much more with the friendliness and professionalism of the frontdesk service staff, the varied breakfast and comfortable bed. The room is clean , tidy and wonderful
No intercom was available which was very disappointing and disturbing. Bathroom sink was too small to wash baby bottles. Carpet looks like old. However, the location was great.
Novotel is quite a good hotel, the problems are old version tv, the toilet was not included with the bathroom. Intercoms not present in every rooms ( as we took two rooms, so it could be compared)
Good location and service. Price is reasonable. Hygine is good.
Very good experience in Novotel. The counter staff was very nice. We arrived early to put down our luggage first. But she checked there was one room ready and arranged us check in immediately. Hotel room is big and clean. Corridor is long and looks like old years but inside room is quite new and comfortable. Definitely will recommend to others.

Good value! The only thing is the lack of soundproofing. We were on the first floor and kept waking up from people walking above us. If you choose this hotel, I suggest you ask for the highest floor.
We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights. When we checked in, we provided our passports to the counter, but the lady at the counter said they no needed and gave me the room card directly. At a Premier Inn, I stayed one night, Hoping for comfort, something just right. The staff were welcoming, friendly and bright, And parking was easy—no trouble in sight. Room and bathroom was big and spacious with table and chairs
The hotel is definitely a game of two halves. The reception, bar and dining room are very nicely decorated and very clean and tidy. The accommodation area, that we were in, was in dire need of updating. Our room, 65, was clean but tatty. Marks on all the walls, threads on edge of carpet that were at least six inches long and the bathroom should be ripped out and replaced. We found that the walls were...
Great hotel, great value, and in great location. It may not be 5* luxury, but it is the staff who absolutely make this place. You couldn’t ask for nicer or kinder Reception staff who go out of their way to help. First class, every time (and I stay here pretty often..). Huge thank you to the wonderful Eva, and Eleni, Claire and Sunny.
This hotel is a little dated but a nice enough stay for central Manchester and surrounding areas. The breakfast is good and staff pleasant. The outside areas are a little tatty with a lot of cig ends thrown on the floor. Hotels charging for parking on site is a major irritant. We had two cars overnight and the charge was £14.

The price is affordable and the room is good overall. The only weakness is that the room is close to a bar which is noisy at midnight.
The central location is very convenient. The entrance is slightly difficult to find, as it’s a small side door next to a restaurant. The staff are very friendly. A late-night Uber to the airport is around £18
Overall, this place offers good value for the price, but there are a few things to be aware of before booking. There’s a very bright street lamp directly outside the window, and noise from the bar next door continues until around 4am, with loud bass and vibrating walls. I’d strongly recommend bringing earplugs (or using the ones provided in the lobby) and an eye mask if you’re a light sleeper.
