This was my second time staying here and I couldn’t recommend it enough! £18 a night for parking but that’s standard for around this area and it’s a secure car park, great rooms, nice and spacious, great pool and gym, breakfast is fantastic, all the staff are lovely and helpful especially Denim. Looking forward to coming back!

This may not be a 5 star hotel but it definitely offers a 5 star service. From the minute I booked the hotel I was contacted regarding room requests, all replies were answered quickly and professionally. I was then contacted a few days before my stay and again all replies were dealt with and replied to quickly. Check in was quick and efficient and staff were really friendly but professional. The room was clean and contained everything you would need including tea, coffee, biscuits, iron and ironing board and hairdryer. The television was huge. It is clearly a hotel that has been there many years but it seemed very well looked after. The bar area was pleasant, and although we didn’t eat there the prices in the menu were very reasonable, once again the bar staff we encountered were friendly and polite. Parking was £18.00 for the overnight stay which is probably in-line with most hotels of this budget nowadays. I would definitely recommend this hotel to people who aren’t looking for luxury but a clean, friendly and comfortable place to stay.

Litrally booked this 2wks before visiting i thought the price for what you got was amazing - Lovely hotel couldnt fault anything rooms nice overlooking canal - staff very friendly and chatty at bar and reception special mention for Denim was a credit to the hotel welcoming at reception had a chat and gave us direction to venue we was seeing robbie williams at and nothing was too much effort breakfast was lovely loads of choice grom hot to pastrys to cereals etc the swimming pool, spa was nice and relaxing pool bit bisy but was a saturday at 1030am so kids lessons going on but no biggy - would defo recommend this hotel

Lovely room , view of canal all the usuals and some additionals iron hairdryer . Friendly and helpful staff Denim was brilliant local knowledge and advice . Didn’t have time for sauna and swim as only 1 night and birthday celebrations etc but I will re book stay longer and enjoy these facilities . Many thanks Tina

Once again Ann and her wonderful team pulled it out of the bag, fantastic accommodation, great food, relaxing atmosphere, brilliant attention to detail and a lication second to none. Along with my colleagues and friends we have been staying at the Castlefield Hotel for over a decade, Ann and her team go above and beyond to crrate an unforgettable experience of first class customer care, nothing is too much for them 24/7. We all highly recommend a stay at the Castlefield Hotel for cost, value for money and an extremely pleasant stay. See you guys again, soon.

We stayed here when e were attending a show at the Aviva studios so it was in an ideal location. It was quite busy for a Thursday night. The staff are lovely and friendly. The room was really spacious and tidy. The walls are a bit thin and you can hear people shutting their doors and talking - but I have insomnia and it didn’t keep me awake. The breakfast buffet looked plentiful. I was catered for as a gluten and lactose free guest. You can use the pool facilities if you stay in the hotel - which I would have done if I had had more time.

Breakfast is disgusting Beds are uncomfortable Noise and banging all night, the walls are paper thin you can hear conversation from other rooms AND OTHER THINGS. Very little choice of none alcoholic beverages at the bar and largers to be fair. On a plus note the staff where friendly

What a great place to stay. I have never stayed anywhere that has had such friendly helpful staff. Nice bar area, breakfast very tasty, rooms clean, beds very comfortable. Great for tram stop and free bus. Would definitely stay again.

I had the delicious and spicy chicken vindaloo and the massive garlic naan the was almost two feet tall! The food and staff were both awesome. Well worth the wait for a table.

Have been on many occasions, service is always perfect. Waiters approach you as your wine is almost empty to get you a refill but never obtrusive. Food is simply amazing value for money

Pretty good curry. Loved the big naans. Rice wasn't great though. Large menu with lots of choice. Too dark and felt quite cramped, even though it is a large space.

I've been coming to this restaurant for years. The food is always nice , I was never disappointed and it is a good price. Welcoming and prompt, a good menu with the hallmark 'family nans' - The restaurant itself is quite noisy and you feel like everyone is rushing around there but the quality of food totally compensates it. Recommend this restaurant for a traditional tasty curry. Its always busy so a good atmosphere. I highly recommend it especially for catching up with friends.

Enjoyable but overjoyed. Food was delivered quickly and service could not be faulted. Great atmosphere for all but food was only average which was a bit disappointing after all the hype. The mains were quite plain and tasteless especially compared to the starters.

I spotted some really good looking meals on other tables although can't comment on the taste. I think the set menu might suffer from the made at scale syndrome however.
In fairness we were in a party of 20 and went for the set meal for ease. All of us were un impressed by the main meals however whereas the starters were great.

The food and drinks in this place are good though the drinks are expensive. Nice to sit outside in summer and they have heaters outside for when it gets colder. It's a bit fancy, people seem to dress up and it gets very busy.

Great bar reasonable prices for drinks. Very Friendly staff this is definitely worth a visit. Live music on weekends in the afternoon (family friendly) I would definitely recommend this bar if your in the castlefield area one of the best. Also brilliant outside seating for in the summer months. Nothing to fault here.

Popular wine bar/ food venue. Right next to the lock gates of a canal. Nice to sit outside on those very rare days when its warm enough to do so! Failing that option they do have lots of indoor seating.

Not the place it used to be. Out for a quick meal as parking is convenient. Ordered fish & chips. The chips looked and tasted as if they had been cooked the week before and the fish was inedible. You'd get better food at a service station. Also the glasses which the drinks were served in were filthy. They clearly have cleanliness and food hygiene issues and I'd strongly advise anyone to eat elsewhere and spare themselves the experience.
