Old Bank Hotel in Oxford

Super hotel, staff so nice, looking forward back again!

Hotel locations is very good and free parking for hotel guest.

Historic, atmospheric and absolutely stunning!!

Great, except it looks like a greenhouse outside because they've installed plastic sheeting, which is a health hazard in itself!

It doesn't deserve five stars; it's just at the level of a budget hotel.

1) I love Old Bank! I stayed there for a week.
2) I loved it so much that I extended my stay at the hotel reception for another day, only to find it was significantly more expensive than the price I booked through Ctrip. It seems Ctrip is still the best choice for booking overseas hotels.
3) I hope Ctrip can improve the interactive review experience for customers. Actually, before I booked this hotel, I saw a comment below from a guest who left their luggage at the hotel, but didn't open it and went straight to the airport to check it in. Upon returning to China, they discovered their valuables were missing from their luggage. They assumed it must have been stolen while they were checking it in at the hotel. I really wanted to reply to that comment, but unfortunately, I can't. It's highly likely that the guest's luggage was stolen at the airport. I don't know if their flight back to China has a connecting flight; if so, the chances are even higher. This is far more likely than the hotel staff opening your checked luggage and taking your belongings. You might have been more effective if you contacted the airline and the airport immediately. I've experienced this myself. Overall, I think the chances of this happening at Old Bank are very low.

The room was clean and tidy, and the big bed was comfortable. However, the sound insulation on the upper floors was very poor, and it felt like the bottom of the building was about to fall.

The location is excellent, right on High Street, opposite St. Mary's Cathedral; the room is newly renovated, the layout is pleasing to the eye, and the bedding is comfortable; the service is warm and thoughtful, and there is a small backyard with free parking. Recommended!

The location is excellent. The room is small but new. The breakfast is too expensive for 30 yuan per person. Slippers are provided. The service attitude is good. The parking lot is behind the hotel. Free parking is required. You need to contact the parking lot in advance for directions.
