St Margaret's Hotel in Oxford

Typical sized room for the age/location of the hotel. Friendly staff, nice toiletries offered. Bed is a little stiff and pillows are a little too soft. Overall, a decent place to lay your head for a night or two.

Wry cost and quiet but the wall is so thin to hear the other guest’s business

The room was large, but somewhat old.

There is a nice garden and the staff are friendly. It is recommended to check in during the day, and you are encouraged to enter the house after 6 pm, so checkin after 6 pm may be a bit inconvenient. The house in Oxford is quite expensive, and it is just a converted ordinary B&B.

The room is clean and not big, it is suitable for two people to live in. Parents with children feel that the children have no space to move around. I booked a 16 square meter room.

Drive directly from London Airport to the hotel. The hotel is located in a residential area. The appearance is a submit-detached house. When we arrived, there was a large truck of renovation garbage at the doorway of the yard, which looked a bit messy. Entering the room was still very tidy. It should have just been renovated and looked relatively new and clean. The house is of course an old house with a certain history. The heating and sockets are a bit old. The sockets are arranged near the baseboards of the house, which makes charging awkward. Now everyone has so many electronic devices, it is recommended that the store provide more charging sockets. We booked a family room. The room is large enough. On the ground floor, there is a floor-to-ceiling window leading to the back yard. In summer, there should be a small inner yard with a table for leisure, but we arrived in winter and the yard was not decorated. Breakfast was arranged in a small restaurant in the sun room. The food is relatively rich and the environment is warm. You can communicate with other travelers. The manager and waiter are also very enthusiastic and can do their best to help the guests. The transportation is not bad. We basically walk to the central area, which takes about 20 to 25 minutes. The advantage is that you don’t have to find a place to park, and you can also see the small colleges on both sides along the way. There are not many places to eat around, but there is a small bar about 15 minutes' walk away, which has 1 Michelin star. It is a little expensive, but the food is delicious and the atmosphere is good. Students in the school are discussing business plans, which is a very university atmosphere. You can park on the roadside in front of the hotel, which is convenient. The manager let us park in the small parking lot of the hotel, which makes us feel at home. The small hotel is free and warm, and you can enter and exit with a password at night. Overall, I am quite satisfied. The next two pictures are of the small bar, and the last picture is Zixia on the road at dusk.

I love this hotel very much. It is small and exquisite. It is renovated from an old house, but it is very comfortable to live in. The room is larger than expected and has complete facilities. The sun room on the first floor is the restaurant. It is very enjoyable to eat while looking at the scenery in the garden! Recommended!

If you arrive late, you can check in by yourself.

Very satisfied. We arrived late and got the room number and key by phone. The hotel opened in 1888 and still maintains its elegance and cleanliness. It is a 20-30 minute walk from Oxford town, but on the way there is a small river, and it is very comfortable to walk along the river.

The room was comfortable enough, although I expected at least two pillows and a bit more light.
