Room fairly represented photos on line. Bed comfortable. Decor good. Bathroom adequate but cold and without heat. Heating in bedroom an electric radiator set at 35'c but struggled to cope, very hot to touch.
Let down by very seedy common parts \ entrance and smell. Adjacent club bar under very noisy \ boisterous.
Choosing ones own room code and inputting to the operators mobile was disconcerting. Loft access meant room insecure.
Clearly the operator is trying hard to achieve decent standards over time. Currently not a star worthy premises.

The accommodation experience was great. It's close to the train station and the scenic area, so it's very convenient. The store provided bagged coffee (including sugar and milk) and tea bags, which was very thoughtful! We will come back if we have the chance.

I've traveled the world for over 57 years, and I've never stayed in a hotel this bad and this expensive. The hotel was extremely old and completely neglected. The bathroom window in my room was broken. I taped it shut, but it still wouldn't hold; there was a huge hole. The window was closed, but it always fell down. As we all know, British summers are incredibly hot. My room was a triple room with a double bed and a single bed, facing each other. But there was only one small eight-inch fan. I asked the housekeeper if there was an extra fan, but they said no. The three of us sweated all night and didn't sleep. The room was so cramped that our suitcases couldn't fit on the floor at once. Only one suitcase could be opened at a time. There wasn't even a chair. The wardrobe was incredibly small, probably only about a foot and a half wide, with only a few hangers. With such high prices, I strongly advise trip.com not to list it online; it would damage their reputation. If possible, trip.com would at least help me get half of my rent back. Thank you.

The room is very clean and has a British style. It has good sunlight, but it faces the street. The days are long in summer and it is very noisy at night. The hotel does not have breakfast, but there is a market very close to the hotel with many food stalls, so it is quite convenient.

I really don't recommend it. Don't go.

good location
this hotel is a bit rundown to say the least. its perfect for location, and for our needs of a night at the theatre next door, ideal. i would not stay there any longer, the place is a generous 3 star!!

Grimy old hotel
A grimy old little hotel - some of it is to do with the building and property, but lots is just to do with not-caring: they could clean it better and spruce it up easily - but they don’t bother.
The rooms are also accessed with a code (not a key) which seems like it is never changed. The reception says it is open all day but it took 15 minutes of phoning and buzzing to get into the property.

The room is very shabby

Well situated
Comfy bed, well situated for the bus station and bus stops. walking into town 10 minutes only. On street parking seemed to be permit only! go to Redbridge park and ride and leave your car there. the bus stops outside!. take earplugs because the music plays till 1.00am ish
Hotel could do with refurbishing but for one or 2 nights amd at the price it was worth it

The environment is dirty and noisy until two or three o'clock at night

Lovely meal. Great steak in a nice trendy restaurant. Good selection of food and wine

Despite a somehow poor past experience, we thought we would take our Spanish guests, as they wanted to try Jamie´s food.
I must say that Jamie´s restaurant managed to disappoint us yet once again...
I had the risotto, which was tasteless and undercooked...
Jamie needs to visit his restaurants and try "his" food!

Lovely food. Great service. Most seats are hard metal. We managed to get one of the few comfy ones.

Loved how the staff made a fuss of our little man and made him feel special, but waited a while after our mains for plates to be cleared while the little one was getting restless.

Food wise we had a burger and a bowl of pasta. Both lovely and the nipper had spaghetti and meatballs (also really tasty). Kids eat free but you pay for it in the adult meal prices. For the 2 of us with just mains and a fruit juice plus the little ones free meal came to a total of £33 - a little more than we'd normally like to spend for lunch.

Wouldn't rush back there but it was a nice enough family experience.

Delicious starters and the spaghetti was perfectly seasoned. The pizza was just delicious! Loved the atmosphere and very helpful waitress and good service. Also perfect if you have kids. A little expensive, but worth the food.

I went to this 'authentic' Chinese restaurant twice, however it made my stomach upset twice:The first time I thought i will have some nice Dimsum, but this restaurant was actually let me down; you could find ice in the Chinese buns , all the Dimsum were NOT fresh!.The second time I went there with my friend to try out some Chinese hotpot,BUT...The dimsum was already bad enough , and the hotpot....OMG!.I waited nearly 1hour for the prawn, even it's fine if the prawn was fresh, but it taste like a rubber...Never going there again

Food excellent, service good, price reasonable a nice place to dine will go again.

dont know how this resturant survived. the food is take away standard. we ordered 1 sweet sour soup - very disappointed, bland, no taste just a bit of vinegar. 2 half roast duck- still disappointed, not the traditional way roasting, more like take away duck deep oil fried, nothing to conpare with the real roast duck. 3 beef curry - edible, clearly not fresh at all, tase below standard 4 black peper beef- acceptable 5 fried rice - still disappointed, bland, tasteless and shrip not fresh, even not good as my own cooking. summary is that the food is very oil and taste is equv. to take away standard or below. nothing to compare with four seasons in london or may flower in bristol. 这食物老外吃着还行,中国人就完全吃不下去了

Friendly staff, cosy atmosphere, great food with good variety, and serves dim sum during lunch hours. Gets very crowded during bank holidays or Chinese calendar events.

Food was soso but quick as most of the times in Chinese restaurants.
Very old interior and toilets does need a bit of improvement.
Good thing is that they are open throughout the day and prices are fair.
