There might be a reason why I tend to return to this hotel?

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Kensington Hotel and truly could not recommend it more.

The location is fantastic, with excellent Tube access and easy walking distance to Chelsea, Notting Hill, and Hyde Park. It made getting around London incredibly convenient. Each morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast, beautifully served in a lovely setting that felt calm and welcoming.

I stayed in a Deluxe King Room and it was comfortable, elegant, and very well cared for. Housekeeping was outstanding, with thoughtful touches that really stood out. There was turndown service each evening, chocolates left nightly, and a bottle of champagne delivered on New Year’s Eve, which was such a special surprise.

A special thank you to George, who was incredibly helpful with arranging our train tickets to Oxford and assisting us with our bags. He made everything easy and stress free. Another big shoutout to Ali for being wonderful during both check in and check out, and for even arranging coffees and pastries for us to take on our way to an early flight home.

From start to finish, the service, comfort, and location were exceptional. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend The Kensington Hotel to anyone visiting London.

The location, hotel facilities and services are all quite good.

The Kensington Hotel is a lovely place to stay. The room is on the smaller side, but it’s comfortable and well kept, and the location is excellent. What really makes the stay special is the staff , everyone is kind, attentive, and makes you feel genuinely looked after. I felt safe, welcome, and well cared for throughout my stay. On top of that, the restaurant is top-notch, with excellent food and a great atmosphere. Would happily stay here again.

The two of us came for afternoon tea at The Kensington on 12 December for a 3pm booking. We chose it as, at certain times, they have a very talented artist who paints your experience, which really appealed to us.

It was a really nice experience in a beautiful hotel. We had afternoon tea for two, a couple of champagne cocktails, a couple of glasses of champagne and a couple of bottles of water. The staff were really nice and the afternoon tea itself was lovely, with a great little box provided to take home what we could not finish.

The artist was there on the day and is painting our experience. She was very busy, so needed to complete it later and post it to us, which we are very much looking forward to receiving.

Thankyou for a wonderful lunch in your gorgeous restaurant. We were four old friends getting together for Christmas. Every member of staff we encountered was kind and welcoming. Daniella our waitress was so attentive and full of good advice regarding the menu. We loved our drinks in the cosy bar afterwards. A perfect end to our day. This was our second visit and we will be back for a third!

The Kensington is a true five-star hotel in every sense of the word. The moment we arrived to the front of the hotel, we were stunned: the Christmas décor was absolutely breathtaking, the kind of elegant, magical display that made us feel like we were staying inside Buckingham Palace. The entire building is gorgeous, the rooms, while small, have such character and are luxurious and immaculately clean.

The location is also fantastic. It’s a beautiful neighborhood to stay in, and incredibly convenient for walking to Hyde Park and Harrods. It’s just minutes from the Natural History Museum and the V&A, which made exploring the area so easy and enjoyable.

The staff here are incredibly professional and operate with the effortless confidence you expect from a high-end hotel. But the real standout, the person who brings the warmth and personality into all that formality, is Nnamdi of guest relations. He’s exceptional, and every interaction with him was kind, genuine, and full of heart.

One of my favorite moments was seeing him in the lobby speaking with a little boy who was talking and giggling nonstop. I was in the sitting area and heard the laughter, then I turned around to see who this child was so delighted by, and of course it was Nnamdi. It confirmed what I already knew: he treats every guest, big or small, with the same warmth and attention.

The staff here operate with the kind of professionalism you would expect at an upscale property. The only small ding I’d give is simply due to how popular the hotel is. Because there were constantly guests in the restaurant, bar, and high tea areas, the waitstaff never really had time to be warm or personable. They were rushing from table to table, doing their absolute best, and while service was sometimes slow, they always apologized and handled it with professionalism.

Great hotel in a perfect location. Easy to walk and explore Kensington, Chelsea and Nottinghill. Close to shopping and attractions.

We have stayed at this hotel on two previous occasions and this time we were very disappointed overall. When we asked about an upgrade we were literally “fobbed off”, service in the bar and casual dining was disorganised to say the least. Our room when cleaned one day we weren’t provided with face washers and another day no body wash. Our last night it was windy and the noise from something loose on the roof was extremely loud and annoying.
Our next time in London we would be looking at other hotels.

Had a delicious slow-roasted lamb shoulder dish with root vegetables. Very tender and flavorful. The restaurant has a tastefully rustic decor, which was enhanced by complementary Christmas decorations during my visit in December. Enjoyable visit.

Food was really good here and staff were more than friendly and accommodating. Disable bathroom and baby change facilities available, as is sheltered outdoor seating on astroturf.

Plesent place for a small group after work. Food was good, and the waitress was welcoming. The food was above average, and what I would expect in the Kensington area.

We waited an incredibly long time for food (over an hour between ordering and receiving food), and when it arrived, we were told they didn't have one of the meals we had ordered, so they replaced it without asking us for a preference. The replacement was not pleasant, overcooked and dry - definitely not freshly cooked. The one meal that we had ordered was really good though.
Service was very disjointed - the person who brought our food didn't seem to know that what he brought was different to what we ordered, then the next few people who came to the table all had a different story about what had happened... We just wanted a nice roast lunch - it was 17:30 by the time we got out!
