Friendliness from the staff throughout our stay from arrival to breakfast to checking-out. Room was huge for 3 persons, bathroom and sleeping area were spotless, beddings were comfy and fresh. Room was keeping us throughout our stay too! Highly recommended!

No amenities available ( ie. Shower shampoo and conditioner) No do not disturb for door. Room service trying to come in Each morning while we were there and seemed a bit upset we weren’t ready yet. No ramp for heavy luggage into building.

The hotel location is good, near the university, however, the room cleaness is not the best, and the car park is quite narrow.

Quickly and very helpfully resolved a check in issue. Very hospitable. Fab location . Had a lovely stay and hope to be back next time I'm in Glasgow

Excelente location with friendly staff. The lack of an elevator was an issue. If you can't climb stairs, request a ground floor room. There's a nice river trail steps from the hotel. The Botanic Garden and many good restaurants are a short walk away.

What a lovely warm welcome we received on arrival ,very accommodating and friendly staff. Great sized triple room with a lovely en-suite shower . Stayed in this are many times and will be staying at this hotel now whenever we visit . Clean rooms ,Freshly decorated with a tea coffee station .

Clean, comfy and perfect location. Friendly and enthusiastic welcome. Wonderful shower and recently painted room. Top floor room so very quiet. My only request would be mugs in the rooms rather than tiny cups and saucers. Great we were able to leave our cases in reception after checking out.

It's alright. If you're just looking for a place to stay for one night, the price is quite high. Don't expect too much else. However, if you're willing to spend more, you can stay in a room on a better floor.

I have been for food here twice it’s one of my favourite vegan spots, I have been here with veggie and meat eater friends everyone enjoyed. The birria are amazing but so are all the tacos I have had! It’s nice to visit for drinks and board games too.

I've been to Mexico twice and yet this was still one of the best vegetarian tacos/mexican I've ever had. The birria tacos are sensational and the chilaquiles are delish but also a massive portion for a side dish so be warned.

I want to like this place so much but they keep moving (and removing) the furniture and it’s quite disconcerting. Also the two doors, one of which is blocked yet is the obvious entrance...? Very nice stay, we had a nice room with 4 beds, we were a group of 4 friends visiting Glasgow and Édimbourg, the location is excellent (in the very centre of Glasgow) with very close train stations and shops. Cleaning was made daily and we liked the warm welcome

Stayed for only 1 night. The staff were polite and helpful. The room was clean and enough for my needs. Close to city centre so very convenient for theatres, shops, restaurants. Although the room was basic it still had a drinks station additional heater if needed.

For the price paid this hotel absolutely suited our needs, the facilities worked, the staff were helpful and friendly and it was well placed for our visit. Do not stay here expecting a 5 star hotel, you are not paying 5 star prices and it is not that… it is however a very good standard for the money you are paying. The hotel is fine, old fashioned but that’s okay, rooms well laid out and housekeeping check in daily. No breakfast available. The bathroom was a bit musty with mould evident. A requirement to leave room keys at reception when you pop out which is very odd . Staff nice and it’s a reasonable base for a couple nights.

Newton hotel was a very nice hotel. I had a single room which was plenty spacious for me and breakfast was cooked to order which was nice especially since it was complimentary. Only downside was that there is no air conditioning so I'm not sure how happy I would've been if it was actually warm our but for this trip, I was happy.

I had a really pleasant stay. This was great for an overnight. Its a budget hotel, it was clean and warm. Bed was really comfortable. Cheap and cheerful. Basic hotel room and quite possibly one of the smallest I have ever been in, although there may have been bigger rooms I was unable to see. Have not yet had breakfast. No issues with cleanliness or staff. Receptionist was helpful and even came down to room to sort out the TV.

My stay at the Kelvin hotel was short but oh so sweet. I was only there for one night but the gentlemen at the front desk was one of the kindest and most accommodating people I have ever interacted with in the hospitality industry. What a shame! We love Campanile hotels and stay in them all over France. Sadly, this one doesn't come up to scratch. Maybe it's because their Glasgow offering is a bit of an outlier. Having stayed here a couple of times now, we won't be back. The price for a basic room, which does come with breakfast, Is overpriced and given the state of the rooms, which are declining with wear and tare, fixtures and fittings falling apart, dust in parts of the room/bathroom. We had a lovely time as I took my niece for her bday. She loves the pool there. Staff are fabulous so cheery . Only thing rooms are like paper walls here everything.

What a great hotel. Friendly, safe as a solo traveller, gym was fantastic! Short walk into Finneston which had great shops and restaurants. Pool was quite busy but swam early evening. Did some classes. Fab!

It's hard to say exactly what stood out as everything was amazing including the staff, the accommodations themselves and the services offered. We were helped with early breakfasts, spa services and understanding how to call an early taxi to get us to the airport. A truly beautiful place to stay as well; unique and the interior of the room we stayed in was quaint and perfect for our needs.

The only issue we had was finding the place. Once we found it the door was locked at 4:00. Didnt know i needed to ring the bell. It is a lovely old building and breakfast was lovely. We only had one night was it was during a storm. Would have loved to have enjoyed the spa.

The Alamo Guest House offers ten rooms. It is small and that is its strength. The rooms are clean. The staff is extremely helpful. An excellent choice of cold and hot plates is offered for breakfast. There are a good choice of different restaurants near the Alamo. I highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful building in a great location, wonderful staff

We had such a lovely stay at Boutique 50. Everything was perfect and the staff so friendly and helpful; they even posted back to me something i left in the room! A great location, quite and safe to park, I could not recommend this place enough.

A lovely stay, all staff were really friendly and created a very welcoming atmosphere. The room was great, comfy and cool touches like the record player. The continental breakfast was delicious with lots of options and fresh fruit. Location couldn’t be better for central Westend.

Very good location. Service was great, nice breakfast. A couple of recommendations would be; 1. The replacement of a glass door into the bathroom, not very private and the light on meant that the other person was woken. 2. There was no warm water from sink.

Friendly welcome, and it was lovely being taken to my room. It was generally quiet (apart from noisy washing machines? in the evening). Booked for friends for a weekend, the place was spotlessly clean, and comfy beds, what more do you want? Only down side, en suite was rather small but did not spoil their visit, very central and close to plenty of amenities Will use again!

In a great location which is very close to the main shopping and socializing area of Glasgow, the room I stayed in was very spacious and included a large tv which would be useful for people staying , the staff were very helpful and polite and the check-in and check-out system was very easy.

Beautiful hotel was my partners birthday and the kind guy Angus at reception upgraded our room and give us a late check out and 2 complimentary drinks so thank you very much, it’s right in the middle of the town with everything all around you rooms are beautiful beds so comfy did get up once and that’s unusual for me haha would definitely book this hotel again

This is my second stay here. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the staff are great. It's very close to the central station, and there are many places to eat nearby. Definitely worth staying at!

Good location with plenty of nearby restaurants. Clean place with a good heater. The only issue is that there was no toilet tissue, and I informed the front door man, but he said the housekeeper had already put some in when I went out. So I checked again and took a photo to prove it. It seems he thinks I am lying.

The staff we dealt with were excellent and made us feel welcome. The suite was an upgrade from a Junior Suite, and it was well worth it. The only slight gripe was that the dining area was being used for a private party, so the bar was full up with people eating. If the bar was quieter, or had seats available, we'd have spent some more time there.
