Friendliness from the staff throughout our stay from arrival to breakfast to checking-out. Room was huge for 3 persons, bathroom and sleeping area were spotless, beddings were comfy and fresh. Room was keeping us throughout our stay too! Highly recommended!
No amenities available ( ie. Shower shampoo and conditioner) No do not disturb for door. Room service trying to come in Each morning while we were there and seemed a bit upset we weren’t ready yet. No ramp for heavy luggage into building.
The hotel location is good, near the university, however, the room cleaness is not the best, and the car park is quite narrow.
Quickly and very helpfully resolved a check in issue. Very hospitable. Fab location . Had a lovely stay and hope to be back next time I'm in Glasgow
Excelente location with friendly staff. The lack of an elevator was an issue. If you can't climb stairs, request a ground floor room. There's a nice river trail steps from the hotel. The Botanic Garden and many good restaurants are a short walk away.
Good traditional small Hotel. Staff were really fun and enthusiastic. Comfy room with good bathroom. Nice for central Glasgow

What a lovely warm welcome we received on arrival ,very accommodating and friendly staff. Great sized triple room with a lovely en-suite shower . Stayed in this are many times and will be staying at this hotel now whenever we visit . Clean rooms ,Freshly decorated with a tea coffee station .
Absolutely loved our short stay here, Anthony was brilliant and was there to help with any need or sound advice, thank you so much everything was spot on, very comfortable beds nice and quiet shower is superb, we’re back next week, thank you.
Stayed on a Saturday night to attend a concert at the Hydro. Excellent location. Some free parking spaces right outside, we managed to get one so very pleased. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Hotel bright and spacious. Our room, although basic was a good size, clean & had everything we required for our needs. The ensuite looked brand new! We were up a few flights of stairs, which was fine for...
Had a lovely stay at the sandyford lodge hotel. Room was spotless clean. Guys at reception were very friendly and helpful. Hotel only 10 mins from hydro where we were going. Great value. Would definitely stay again.
Little gem in the west end of Glasgow. Newly renovated: quiet rooms:staff are very friendly and helpful. The neighbourhood has some lovely restaurants( v international) I recommend The Finnieston Bar & Restaurant ( seafood). Walking distance to the SEC. I’d say its 3star because there is no lift(elevator) and no restaurant. They have an arrangement for breakfast at a nearby hotel. Altogether a lovely...
Clean, comfy and perfect location. Friendly and enthusiastic welcome. Wonderful shower and recently painted room. Top floor room so very quiet. My only request would be mugs in the rooms rather than tiny cups and saucers. Great we were able to leave our cases in reception after checking out.

Small hotel in Glasgow. Room with tea/coffee maker, but cleanliness could be improved. Comfortable bathroom. Friendly staff. Good location.
Hotel is great: second time I’ve stayed. Breakfast is fantastic and great service in the restaurant. I’d definitely recommend making it down to the restaurant.
It's alright. If you're just looking for a place to stay for one night, the price is quite high. Don't expect too much else. However, if you're willing to spend more, you can stay in a room on a better floor.
The room was clean and comfortable. It wasn't the biggest I've ever stayed in,compact and bijou.
Very clean and convenient and friendly for a family

I have been very well looked after. Gary and his customer service is top notch and never fails to get a laugh out of you. Parking ok. Breakfast limited, dirty plates and cutlery. Not what we expected having paid over £100 for the night.

Great, good value hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Check in and check out seamless. Breakfast really good. Great friendly service, thanks Alan. Great value for money in a very central location. Would definitely stay again.
Very good location, lovely staff. Would stay again!
Thin walls, no lift, no cafe or bar. Room was clean but very small.
Great deal - location just next to West Side of Downtown, Stuff very accommodating, Safe Access to the Building.
Great 4 day stay at the Acorn. Located just off Glasgow's West End it's a great location to explore Glasgow. Cosy rooms which were spotlessly clean and the room cleaned daily. Great breakfast choices and as much tea and coffee as you like. Kevin who was on duty for the first couple of days was amazing. He was non stop attending to everyone. His recommendations were spot on and even though he was feeling...
Room was cosy and comfortable with all the amenities you would expect. Very friendly team and pleasant checking in experience. There is no lift so if this is an issue make sure you book an appropriate room. Close to a few really good restaurants and bars if this is your thing.

Good service , really good location . Friendly staff but could do with a refurb in the rooms
I recently stayed at the hotel, the staff was welcoming and attentive, making check-in smooth and hassle-free. The room was impeccably clean and comfortable, offering everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The hotel’s location was convenient, and the on-site amenities added plenty of comfort and enjoyment to my trip. Overall, I would give 4 out of 5. I highly recommend to anyone looking for great...
Easy walk from tube, close to a strip of shops, restaurants and bars. Beautiful building. Room was slightly cold and breakfast was slightly disappointing. Would stay again as staff were great.
Used to be better. We have stayed in the Belhaven before (over 20 years ago the first time) and loved it. I have also recommended it many times to visitors to Glasgow. So, it saddens me to say that this visit wasn't so great and they really need to do some work if they intend to be around in another 10 or 20 years. When we arrived, we got upgraded from a standard double to the suite. Sounds...
A little tired but good value and a nice bed Although the hotel is a little tired, it’s great value and an ideal location for work meetings

Very good, clean and welcoming. Great location, good lift up to the clean room. Quiet clean rooms in a good area. Good value for money. Lovely shower and toilet. Good tv and selection of channels for all nationalities.
The food is 100% vegan and absolutely incredible, as is the atmosphere. And the place itself is beautiful. A roaring fire, lots of dark wood and fairy lights. Just gorgeous! However, the service lets them down. We arrived early for our table, but they didn't have our booking. No problem, a table was still provided. But when we asked to order food we were told the kitchen was overwhelmed (which was...
I have been for food here twice it’s one of my favourite vegan spots, I have been here with veggie and meat eater friends everyone enjoyed. The birria are amazing but so are all the tacos I have had! It’s nice to visit for drinks and board games too.
I've been to Mexico twice and yet this was still one of the best vegetarian tacos/mexican I've ever had. The birria tacos are sensational and the chilaquiles are delish but also a massive portion for a side dish so be warned.
Very chilled out Sunday vibes and enjoying the best vegan tacos I've ever eaten. Previous carnist I've not seen anything quite like this. Absolutely superb. The most flavoursome food with the PERFECT amount of spice to make this a great meal.
I want to like this place so much but they keep moving (and removing) the furniture and it’s quite disconcerting. Also the two doors, one of which is blocked yet is the obvious entrance...? And the entrance is always swamped by smokers so you have to hold your breath as you go in. Sorry to be so down on you guys as your vegan food is very good, but you also need to turn up the heating. It’s COLD outside...

Very nice stay, we had a nice room with 4 beds, we were a group of 4 friends visiting Glasgow and Édimbourg, the location is excellent (in the very centre of Glasgow) with very close train stations and shops. Cleaning was made daily and we liked the warm welcome
Stayed for only 1 night. The staff were polite and helpful. The room was clean and enough for my needs. Close to city centre so very convenient for theatres, shops, restaurants. Although the room was basic it still had a drinks station additional heater if needed.
Warm friendly reception Easy check in, helpful advice Clean and tidy room, wasn’t overly big but enough space for me and all my Christmas shopping bags Room was warm when I arrived If your going back to hotel late at night you need to press buzzer but response was immediate with my key ready at reception for me (you need to leave your key when you go out) Spiral stair case which could be an issue...

Beautiful building and excellent location! At first the area seemed a bit "scruffy", but it is in perfect proximity to everything you need - even 2 train stations..! The service is pleasant and helpful. The rooms are great and spacious with plenty of space to hang clothes. For the price paid this hotel absolutely suited our needs, the facilities worked, the staff were helpful and friendly and it was well placed for our visit. Do not stay here expecting a 5 star hotel, you are not paying 5 star prices and it is not that… it is however a very good standard for the money you are paying. The room was cleaned daily which I would not expect at all for the price point...
Great value for money. We staid 6 days to visit friends in Glasgow. Family room was clean, beds comfy. Staff very friendly. Perfect location in Glasgow West End. Close to restaurants, bars and the Botanic Garden. Can be a bit noisy at night, but no complaints….
Room immaculate and spacious considering it was a small double. Bathroom in good order but some of the tiles In shower could do with re grouting. Although continental breakfast provided we preferred just tea in our room. Plenty tea, coffee and milk...
Good value Victorian hotel in the fantastic location of Glasgow's West End. My small double room had everything I needed for an overnight but I would have happily stayed longer. The hotel is fine, old fashioned but that’s okay, rooms well laid out and housekeeping check in daily. No breakfast available. The bathroom was a bit musty with mould evident. A requirement to leave room keys at reception when you pop out which is very odd . Staff nice and it’s a reasonable base for a couple nights.

Newton hotel was a very nice hotel. I had a single room which was plenty spacious for me and breakfast was cooked to order which was nice especially since it was complimentary. Only downside was that there is no air conditioning so I'm not sure how happy I would've been if it was actually warm our but for this trip, I was happy.
I had a really pleasant stay. This was great for an overnight. Its a budget hotel, it was clean and warm. Bed was really comfortable. What a shame! We love Campanile hotels and stay in them all over France. Sadly, this one doesn't come up to scratch. Maybe it's because their Glasgow offering is a bit of an outlier. The reception staff and check-in are fine. First impressions of the room however are disappointing. Several of the furnishings and fittings are shabby and need some maintenance or replacement. The biggie for us though...
Stayed here one night and it suited it's purpose. Reception were nice and pleasant. Room was a bit chilly. I turned heater on but didn't seem to work for long. Good location to explore. Very basic hotel with a small room and a bathroom.
Having stayed here a couple of times now, we won't be back. The price for a basic room, which does come with breakfast, Is overpriced and given the state of the rooms, which are declining with wear and tare, fixtures and fittings falling apart, dust in parts of the room/bathroom. Lovely staff, beautiful room ideal location. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back sometime!
It's hard to say exactly what stood out as everything was amazing including the staff, the accommodations themselves and the services offered. We were helped with early breakfasts, spa services and understanding how to call an early taxi to get us to the airport. A truly beautiful place to stay as well; unique and the interior of the room we stayed in was quaint and perfect for our needs.
Wonderful place. All the staff were very helpful and friendly!
The only issue we had was finding the place. Once we found it the door was locked at 4:00. Didnt know i needed to ring the bell. It is a lovely old building and breakfast was lovely. We only had one night was it was during a storm. Would have loved to have enjoyed the spa.
The Alamo Guest House offers ten rooms. It is small and that is its strength. The rooms are clean. The staff is extremely helpful. An excellent choice of cold and hot plates is offered for breakfast. There are a good choice of different restaurants near the Alamo. I highly recommend this hotel.

We had such a lovely stay at Boutique 50. Everything was perfect and the staff so friendly and helpful; they even posted back to me something i left in the room! A great location, quite and safe to park, I could not recommend this place enough.
A lovely stay, all staff were really friendly and created a very welcoming atmosphere. The room was great, comfy and cool touches like the record player. The continental breakfast was delicious with lots of options and fresh fruit. Location couldn’t be better for central Westend.
Very good location. Service was great, nice breakfast. A couple of recommendations would be; 1. The replacement of a glass door into the bathroom, not very private and the light on meant that the other person was woken. 2. There was no warm water from sink.
The room was spacious, faced the street, was clean, and the breakfast was plentiful. I was satisfied!
Friendly welcome, and it was lovely being taken to my room. It was generally quiet (apart from noisy washing machines? in the evening). The shower was quite hard to use - it was either a bit too hot or quite a bit too cold. I had a nice stay anyway. Breakfast was really good for a continental breakfast!
Convenient location, very close to my destination, and excellent value for money.

Booked for friends for a weekend, the place was spotlessly clean, and comfy beds, what more do you want? Only down side, en suite was rather small but did not spoil their visit, very central and close to plenty of amenities Will use again!
Very comforting experience. Felt like home.I am an introvert person so settling in new place is kind of hard for me but I settled in pretty well. The thing I liked the most was hygiene and cleanliness. Also very quick service.

My stay at Safestay Charing Cross was excellent. Good location with plenty of nearby restaurants. Clean place with a good heater. The only issue is that there was no toilet tissue, and I informed the front door man, but he said the housekeeper had already put some in when I went out. The hotel has a slightly traditional contemporary homely feel to it. Receptionist could be friendlier when I was checking in, after a long day of travel. The staff we dealt with were excellent and made us feel welcome. The suite was an upgrade from a Junior Suite, and it was well worth it. The only slight gripe was that the dining area was being used for a private party, so the bar was full up with people eating. If the bar was quieter, or had seats available, we'd have spent some more time there.
