Four stars on the food, one star on the service, which averages to two stars overall.

I've had the pizza before, and it's good, but absolutely not worth the terrible service that I've gotten the few times I've gone. If you want to go when they're not busy, fine, but they have absolutely no idea how to handle a crowd.

Just for example, what happened most recently: we wanted to order a pizza to go, and knowing that they'd be busy, we called ahead. Three times, with five minutes in between each time. No answer. So, we go in person. We wait patiently to order at the bar for several minutes, and when the barman finally asks us what we'd like, he walks away to take care of a different customer before we can finish ordering a single pizza. Nothing about "excuse me for a moment." Rude, but we have a reasonable tolerance for bad behavior, so we still wait patiently.

The last straw was when he started organizing glassware from the dishwasher rack, very slowly, right in front of us while still ignoring us. I've worked in service, and trust me, you have to know how to prioritize, and something like that is the lowest priority. Take care of the customer first.

The distinct impression we got was that he was doing this deliberately, trying to get us to leave so he'd have fewer people to deal with. So, we left, and we're not ever going back.

They may think that because they have a successful restaurant in a tourist town, they can afford to lose a few customers by acting like a**holes, and they may be right. But I don't have to be the one dealing with it, and you, dear reader, don't have to either.

Not the best pizza I have ever had. Crust had no flavor and a bit heavy with provolone for our liking. Service seemed off and thankfully the nice lady next to us was alert enough to realize that the waitress gave her out credit card and copy of the receipt. I will say the best salad was very good!
