So cute such a fun place to visit while in Tucson. All the staff was so super sweet and the bartender Barb whips out fantastic drinks and keeps up with a busy crowd.
It was a good mix of a fun atmosphere but cozy seating to sit and chat! Loved it all! I love that they sell the postcards. They’re so cute such a fun little souvenir. I picked out four and a T-shirt and I just love them.

Location was good. Rooms were 'historic'. Bathrooms too small. Noise level was way too high. Is there not a noise ordinance in downtown after a certain hour??

Good rooms, very in tune with the vibe of the hotel, you feel in a movie. Cup coffee offers amazing vibe and food and at night the whole hotel turns into a great place to dance and hang out. Love hotel congress!!

I hope this saves someone from the mistake we made. The hotel does a very good job letting you know in advance that the hotel is loud. We thought we were prepared. However, on a Saturday night very loud was even an understatement. The noise level inside the room is to a level that I cannot believe they even offer these as "hotel" rooms. The only use for them would be to crash after a late night (after 2am) so that you can walk upstairs to your bed. The noise was so loud inside the room that you can't talk to your roommate without raising your voice. It was a miserable night. The hotel is charming to see, but useless for sleeping.

Centrally located in old town Tucson next to the train depot this historic hotel is attached to a Jazz Bar concert hall called the Century room. It’s the most convenient place to stay if you’re taking in a Jazz Show. The 2story hotel doesn’t have an elevator so be prepared to lug your luggage. The windows and the walls are thin so it’s noisy and it’s also ******* with an Ouija Board in the lobby, but it’s more memorable than your run of the mill chain hotel. And it offers $10 secure overnight parking which is a real deal. Breakfast in The Cup is top notch too. We enjoyed our stay.

Simple and antique kinda but perfect , and not plain!!!! Good to focus on who you're renting the room with and not the TV and stuff. Great Club and Bar downstairs the Tap room I think.. Bar Duo, Barb and Billy were awesome! Great drinks and great service!!! The drink was delicious and the guy was really helpful!!!

Normally it smells pretty bad right when you walk in the door. Kind of like a dirty mop. During this visit, it smelled like Christmas. The large patio with music and a dance floor is a great atmosphere for hanging out. During the winter, the heaters are on outside. There are a lot of tables and 2 bars on the patio as well as inside.

Do not come here on a busy night, especially a holiday. Bought tickets for a Halloween event a week prior. Showed up, was told I needed to wait in a standby line (over an hour wait) and would not be refunded my ticket cost if I didn't get into the event. No separate line for people who PURCHASED TICKETS ALREADY. Avoid this place at all costs on a busy night. Horrible management, horrible event coordination.

We stayed 4 nights (Saturday to Wednesday). First, I will say, we were warned...it can be loud on a Saturday night. That is a fact clearly outlined on their website, at the time of reservation, and upon arrival. Ear plugs are available but they don't eliminate the noise. With that said, the access to live music can't be beat. We loved Bare Bones. Hotel is neat and very different from chain hotels. Because the building was built in 1919, the room and bed were small. Beds and pillows were comfortable and I loved the Pendleton blanket. To our surprise, our room did not have a shower. We made due. Our stay was in April so I cannot comment on AC or what it is like there in warmer months. We were there for relaxation, if I were booking something for work, this would not make sense. The Cafe food was excellent! We had breakfasts and dinners there. The staff and chef were very accomodating. Everything was very flavorful and fresh. I highly recommend it. Maynards is across the street out the back door. We did not make it there but others said it was delicious. Drinks at the hotel were great and well-priced. I was worried about parking but it was easy. Being able to hand your room key in each day was a huge perk for someone who is constantly losing her key! As much as we enjoyed the hotel, it was the staff that were exceptional. The housekeeping staff were the friendliest I had met in a long time. The desk staff were all very welcoming and great to chat with. They all made us feel at home. They provided plug adaptors, hair dryers, etc. If you are up for something different, this is a must stay spot. We will be back!

A wonderful historic hotel bursting with character right in the middle of downtown Tucson. Rooms are a bit on the small side, but fine. They warn you in advance that the hotel is noisy, but I had no problems during my stay. Mind you, I did stay Tuesday through Friday, so maybe its a bit noisier on the weekends. Plus I had one of the quieter "Cactus Rooms". I will be back the next time I'm in Tucson.
