Everything was perfect! Staff, cleanliness, quick service in all aspects. The hotel location is absolutely amazing! Fell asleep each night while listening to the waves of the ocean right outside my room. I have stayed here before and will always stay with them while in Malibu.

Malibu Beach Inn Extremely Disappointing for the Price
For the premium rates that Malibu Beach Inn charges, attention to detail should be a top priority — but unfortunately, that was not my experience. When I checked into my room, there was no soap in the bathroom. I asked the staff to bring some, and reported a slow draining / clogged shower stall, then left for dinner assuming it would be taken care of. Not only was it missing that night, but the next day I discovered they still hadn’t refilled the body wash container either. I ended up having to shower with shampoo, which is unacceptable at any hotel, let alone one at this price point.
The shower stall was also clogged, causing extremely slow drainage, so I was forced to stand in 2 to 3 inches of water every time I showered. Another basic issue that should never occur at a hotel of this caliber.
On top of that, the room was not clean, and while the staff is very good at saying the right things, there was zero follow-through. They overpromise and consistently underperform.
For the cost of a stay here, you should expect far better service and basic attention to detail. Do not stay at this hotel it is absolutely not worth the price.
Beware of your safety also. On more than one night I looked out the window and there was a weird stranger on the beach steps away from the hotel who looked dangerous.

Room was spotless, beautiful view, and more than my husband and I imagined! We were taken care of in the utmost respectful and wonderful way. The staff good advice and beyond and are so friendly, personable and professional. This by far was the best place we've ever stayed!

That's probably my only complaint. I wasnt over looking the beach i was in a corner where i could see the beach the pier and a parking lot

Love the view from my room, cleanliness, comfortable bed, the sound of ocean waves. The place is pricey, but it was all worth the money to me.

We were there under a sad occasion and everyone and everything made our stay very easy and pleasant and as enjoyable as it possibly could have been. We want to go back again .

Hotel is clean, luxurious and well equipped with heated toilet bowl (Japan style). Breakfast food was great though the coffee can be improved.

This is my fourth time staying in this hotel. It wins in details. Although it is a four-star hotel, all the details are better than the five-star hotels in Shanghai. You can see the sea while lying on the bed. What could be more comfortable than this? Of course, because it is very close to the sea, the sound of the waves is still very loud at night, which needs to be overcome.

Great stay!
The staff is top notch at this beautiful boutique hotel. I had everything I needed for a perfect beach workcation. Rooms are large with a beautiful ocean view. WiFi in the rooms were strong with good download speeds. The property is located next to the pier and the sunrise and sunset views are not to be missed.. Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant overlooking the ocean was delicious. Beach chairs, umbrella and food/drink service available. My only regret is not staying longer. Definitely recommend!
