We had a wonderful stay at the Santa Monica Proper Hotel. Everything about the experience felt thoughtful and elevated, from the design to the service. The hotel is beautiful, stylish, and incredibly comfortable.

The food was exceptional—truly a standout. Every meal was fresh, creative, and memorable, easily among the best hotel dining we’ve experienced.

Overall, a fantastic stay and a place we’d absolutely return to—even if just for the food. Highly recommended if you’re staying in Santa Monica and want something both luxurious and welcoming, with easy walking access to attractions like the Santa Monica Pier.

Amazing and pet super friendly

This hotel is absolutely charming and elegant. We thoroughly enjoyed the rooftop bar and restaurant, as well as the pool area. The aesthetics and overall ambiance are exceptional, with beautifully repeated circular arches throughout the property. The restaurant’s atmosphere is especially inviting, and we loved relaxing on the large collection of comfortable sofas and chairs. The hotel is truly unique, and its design perfectly reflects that individuality. The décor and customer service were outstanding—every staff member was warm, accommodating, and pleasant. We will most definitely stay here again. We highly recommend this hotel.

Their professionalism and genuine hospitality really stood out. And Pablo, the bartender, deserves special mention—his cocktails were incredible, and his friendly, upbeat personality made every visit to the bar a highlight.

From start to finish, the service, ambiance, and attention to detail were top-notch. I can’t recommend the Proper Santa Monica enough and will definitely be returning soon.
