Room had a microwave and small kitchen that was fully equipped.
Good bed, good shower, clean. Great resort, 7 pools, BBQs, etc

Absolutely beautiful grounds and hotel. The room was clean and gorgeous. I stayed with my friend while we were in Palm Desert for a week. Last year, I stayed at the Shadow Ridge with my family. Both are well-kept with friendly staff. The main pool has drink specials throughout the week. We really enjoyed staying at the desert villas and definitely will be staying there again.

Marriott villas ll built a section of villas called the Jasmine Court. It is situated away from the main pool and Hotel with no access other than calling for a shuttle. The last two times I’ve been there they have stuck me in this area. I requested to be near the main pool but of course no accommodations could be made. Not only did they put us here but right next to the main Highway. So very noisy. We’ve owners at the Villas ll for over 25 years. This Jasmine court wasn’t even here when we bought into this. One of the things I loved was being able to walk to the hotel and around the villas. This section is so out of the way that you literally have to walk across the golf course in order to get anywhere by the pool , sundries store , food, bar, etc. we had to wait 30 min for a shuttle last night in 40degree weather . I’m sorry but this used to be a nice place but their excuses are always the same. I’m afraid to stay here again as I somehow always get put in the corner! As my friends are calling it. Brought my girlfriends out for a girls getaway and now we feel stuck in the timeout corner. Horrible!

Checked in about 9:45pm after 8 hour flight. No soap in fitted soap dispenser. Coffee machine blocked.
Tried to call check-in and concierge desk for more than 20 minutes. No answer. Next morning, tried again for more than 20 minutes. No answer. Drove over.
There were 3 concierge staff members and two check in staff. Concierge playing with their fingers behind their desks, no guests, no phones ringing, almost no guests at check-in desk.
The manager didn’t bother to see me. Concierge guy said: Sir, to be honest, we don’t have enough staff to assist guests. I responded: I don’t have enough money to pay for a service I’m not getting.
As a proud Marriott member, the worn out towels, very average, albeit clean interior, may appeal as 4star to some when you gaze onto the golf course .
As a very frequent Marriott traveler, who understands the industry well, definitely not to me.

Pros: Property was clean, even though at the end of my stay I found a small scorpion like bug in my bathtub. Beds are super comfy, love the floor lighting. Lots of little amenities included in the room such as dish soap, paper towels, extra trash bags, etc. Parking at each building is plentiful! There are water refill stations at the pool, but keep in mind they close at 10pm. You can also refill your water bottle at the gym in the front building, open 24 hours.
Cons: The reason I docked stars is because both ice machines in pools 3 & 6 (cassia & mesquite) were OUT of service. It was 97F degrees all weekend and I had no ice for my drinks or for my post-op knee. I even brought an ice pack to fill up. You can't just call the front desk to bring ice to your room either. Who runs out of ice in the heat? Also the bus schedule is confusing - the front desk didn't even know how to explain it to me after 3x of asking.

Overall, this is a nice resort. Facilities are clean, staff is generally friendly. However, it was difficult many times to get a hold of anyone when contacting the front desk. The phone would just ring and ring. Daily room cleaning is long gone. If you want your room cleaned during your stay it will cost you an extra $140 US 😳. What I found really disappointing is that there is no quiet/adult pool here. Every pool I went to was usually crowded and noisy with people playing their own music. I won't be returning here.

Villas II have been updated recently. Comfortable and convenient. Pools within walking distance from any unit. Just about every unit is on the golf course or very close to it.

Very spacious and quiet. Perfect with the kids for a family getaway. A bit far to walk up to the main hotel with kids (ours were under 3 at the time) - but the pool outside our door was basically just for us the entire trip. Will be back - October weather was fantastic

My wife and friends are enjoying our stay at Marriott's Desert Springs Villas II because they are beautiful and have the nicest amenities we have ever experienced. We plan to play golf the next two days and look forward to the stunning sights. The people are kind, and staff strives to meet our needs. This is a great vacation spot.

This is an amazing resort. We went for our yearly family vacation and stayed in the newer section of the place. The rooms were perfectly clean and outfitted with all the necessary stuff. The pool was clean and not overcrowded. But the best part of this place was the rec center they call The Shade! Such an awesome place to bring our 4 boys. They had things for all ages. Video games, board games, painting, building blocks, rock climbing wall, ping pong amd Foosball, they even had a little movie theater with about 20 seats or so and they played both kids and adults movies... something for everyone. It was great. I'd recommend this place to anyone and everyone.
