Nice hotel in a good central location close to city hall. Only stayed one night so didn’t get the chance to check out the area. Parking was convenient. Gym was good, but required you to leave the building, not great on a cold day. Reception was slow.

Very clean and spacious room, courteous staff, and convenient location (Arden Fair is just a couple blocks away). Would have been perfect if they had more kid-friendly amenities.

Skipped breakfast, but on NYE the only restaurant didn't open until 5pm. Had to leave after checking in to eat. Limited hours for room service too.

The room was clean super spacious, the bed was really comfortable. The fact that they have a personalized welcome sign on the tv is so cool.

Stayed at Hilton Sacramento Arden West for a wedding. The experience was awesome! The staff was very friendly, professional and accommodating. The room was spotless and well maintained. They even had a microwave and refrigerator. Really enjoyed my stay there. If I am ever is Sacramento again will definitely be staying at Hilton Arden West.

I think the hotel is good. It's nicer than I expected given the reviews I had read. It was very convenient for the event I was participating in. I would book again. It was clean and comfortable. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed by the amount of people checking in at the same time but they handled it well.

Good location, newer property. Comfortable rooms and great fitness center/pool area (although it was too cold to swim). The steakhouse at the hotel (echo and rigg) really needs to get better....a bit of an embarrassment in my opinion.

Very well appointed room, the staff were the most present and aware that I have encountered in a long time (ex.staff notice us walking toward the elevators as they pass and call it for us) Convenient location, walkable, lovely reception hour. Def recommend.

The hotel was awesome! Room was very spacious, had a big shower. Everything was clean, location was fantastic to golden1 center and downtown commons. All the amenities were good and new, valet service was fast and smooth. Highly recommend!

Love this hotel with two exceptions: 1) There’s very little counter space in the bathroom. 2) The lighting is horrible! I felt like I was putting my makeup on in the dark, both in the bathroom and by the mirror outside the bathroom. It’s such a shame since I love the hotel otherwise but not sure I would stay there again because of this. :(

Check-in staff seemed inexperienced and was not able to connect my reservation to my Marriott loyalty number. Room cleaning service is a hit-or-miss with one time being great and the next barely passable with missing towels and coffee refill. For the price of this hotel, you should expect much more.

Thse entire hotel was recently renovated and ths rooms are so much better then how they were before. The new owners are really putting alot of effort in eorking on and fixing the entire property. I had a plesent experience and was very pleased with my stay. They offered me a great deal on the price of the room. I can say id definitely stay there again.

This is a great experience if you want to relive a bit of history. The ceilings are low, the cabin doors are tiny, the rooms are clean and smaller than usual. The bathrooms are spacious with claw foot tubs. The restaurant and bar are beautiful wood paneled walls with historical photos and paintings on the wall. Staff was polite and helpful. Took Amtrak no driving. Very clean room. Pleasant and helpful staff at the front desk checking in, bar staff and breakfast server as well. Pleasant stay.

Sea lions serenading us all night. Don’t get that every where. The room was a bit small but that is to be expected on a river boat. Very unique for sure. Best shower I must say. Bar and food were good as well.

Convenient transportation and friendly service

The first time I stayed in a hotel, the bed sheets were not changed, and there were hairs on the pillowcases and sheets.

The staff were incredibly friendly, and we were allocated a really spacious room which had no unpleasant smells, making for a very comfortable stay.

The room is old and a lot of facilities (e.g. lights, tap) are broken. The blankets are also old

The hotel is older but kept very clean. When checking in, I was told clearly that no smoking or pets were allowed, but when I entered the room, a strong smell of pets hit my face, and the dog in the room next to me barked wildly. . .

The check in staff went out of their way to help us check in a bit earlier. The suite was absolutely amazing. The property is beautiful, while a little noisy due to the other Marriott properties near by.

There are ants everywhere, heater not working, no bedding sheets for the sofa bed. Have to go to front desk to ask for the sheets. Only one roll of toilet tissue in bathroom, no facial tissue, the floor is sticky and carpet appear not vacuum at all.

The front desk staff was extremely kind and considerate. The lady working the breakfast was constantly on top of refilling everything and even checked in with guests to make sure they had everything they needed.

Beds were full size, not queen as claimed. Front desk service was great. Breakfast was not so great. Waffle batter was like water, and just about empty. when we asked if they could put fresh batter... the lady took the bowl of batter drippings out from under the tap and dumped that back into the waffle batter container and said there you go, its got batter now. The online pictures of your hotel do not show that you have to enter through doors from the outside. Unfortunately, the parking lot is a little bit scary. I would not have chosen this place. If I knew we had doors that open to the outside public.

We were in Room 109 next to In & Out restaurant & Extremely noisy. Employees start at 6am & also machines running all night. Also entrance to Hotel extremely difficult to find at night. Hotel clean & employees were great !

Good location for overnight stay. The pool looked very inviting, but didn't get chance to check it out. Room clean and functional. Beds were a bit squeaky, but not an issue. Good pillow selection and comfortable sleep. Didn't take advantage of breakfast, but appeared fresh and appealing. Overall good hotel, excellent value for money. Polite friendly staff.

This hotel was very clean and the staff are definitely friendly. The price was definitely right. I was really shocked at how clean and nice it was for the price I paid. We travel this way a lot, and I will definitely stay here in the future.

Bed was super comfy. But a non smoking room that smelled like smoke. And the laminate floors were filthy! Socks were black in one minute and dropped a towel and it had black all over it. Staff was super friendly.

Really great hotel. The bed was very comfortable. The room very clean and quiet. We enjoyed the spa. Very nice since the hotel was not very busy. As for the pool, it was rather cold. The breakfast is quite complete for a continental. Omelettes, bacon, sausages, bagel, juice, coffee, all very good. I recommend it without hesitation!

I really like the beds in the rooms look real nice. The bathroom is also nice. My only complaint is that the lighting is a little bit too dim and you can hear the PA announcements from the lot next door. They start happening early in the morning. This was my second time staying at this hotel. The location is great and the staff is friendly. My room was missing my mini fridge which I rely on since I have special dietary restrictions. I stayed several days to attend a work conference. Unfortunately the fridge they brought to my room after I let them know it was missing froze all my food. This hotel was within walking distance of downtown area that had many good eating establishments. The hotel itself was generally clean, staff was friendly, and they offered a free continental breakfast. Overall, not a bad stay for the price paid.

Honestly, for a motel, it's not bad at all. Clean, well located, and with relatively modern facilities. A bonus was the small express breakfast in the morning. I would choose it again.

My friend and I arrived late at night but there was still a staff member at the front desk who warmly checked us in. We also forgot to pack toothpaste and he kindly provided us with toothpaste and toothbrushes. On top of a comfortable room, the service we received here made our time in Sacramento very enjoyable!

Very basic accomodations, but very clean room and property. Comfortable bed, nice shower. Very Quiet. Pretty courtyard. TV wasn't working at first, but I wiggled a couple of wires in back and it came on! Would stay again. Nice man at desk.

A reasonably priced quiet clean room. Not a room for bringing random people in and out but if you're trying to spend some intimate time with a someone else, it does the job. Friendly staff. Shower controls are a bit off the norm. Trust me they work but if you're having trouble, ask staff.

Check-in was a bit annoying due to not so respectful younger person, otherwise the stay was okay and the cleanliness and accommodations were good, only other gripe was the occasional noisy neighboring guest who were arguing amongst themselves. Overall not too bad l, considering the rate discount.

Only negative was that our bathroom had a barn door that wouldnt stay closed and had large gaps so there was no privacy in double bed room

Staff is very friendly. Front desk guy help me with smooth checkin. Room was very big and clean compare to price I paid. Due to downtown there are homeless people, but good thing they do not visit property. Overall, this will be my place to stay in Sacramento.

Everything was awesome. It was just a one night stay but the room had everything we needed. I mean if we wanted to be picky I would say the pillows could be bigger but it was very comfortable.

Been here before and wasn't happy...but had to stay due to price and was shocked when we got our room. The room was very nice and it was actually really quiet during our stay and the maid made sure to check if we needed towels this time. I think my last review got under their skin!

The rooms and amenities were fair trade all natural soaps. Your centrally located to everything from great food to entertainment. Some of the younger staff members don't have the best costumer service though. the breakfast area had kid friendly options but not enough space to sit down with the family and enjoy it.

VERY inexpensive and an incredible offering for the price. The check-in and out processes were smooth. Very conveniently shares a parking lot with a 24 hour IHOP. Nice 50+ inch TV in the room was an added bonus as well. If you're looking for a simple/cheap motel to lay your head, this is the way to go. It blows Motel 6, and the like, out of the water. For some reason (likely my fault) I never saw the parking gate code before I got there. Front desk got me in quick so not a problem. Otherwise everything was great.

First time staying in a Hostel, and 100% sure that this will be hard to top at another one. I was met by Juliet whose voice I recognized over the phone when i called to ask probably too many questions, in which she answered confidentially and ultimately gave my brain the green light to stay in a hostel. I work for a major airline and I have never stayed at the nicest hotels and have felt this comfortable...

Staff was great and the historic building was really nice. I do think they need to clean and maintain things better. Another hostel I stayed at apart of the HI system would clean their bathrooms twice a day. To be fair the other hostel probably had more traffic but I don't think they cleaned the bathrooms in this hostel once the entire time I was staying, for 3-4 days.
