Great location if you are going to the game at Golden 1 Center. My first impression through the main hallway to the front desk was a bit unpleasant because there were many flies right at my face. The check-in/out process was very quick and smooth. I do need to call out the housekeeping service because they mistakenly came knocking in the morning twice (9am, 10am) trying to clean the room, when it was the morning or my checkout. I was in a meeting, so that was a bit disturbing.

Love this hotel with two exceptions:

1) There’s very little counter space in the bathroom.

2) The lighting is horrible! I felt like I was putting my makeup on in the dark, both in the bathroom and by the mirror outside the bathroom. It’s such a shame since I love the hotel otherwise but not sure I would stay there again because of this. :(

Check-in staff seemed inexperienced and was not able to connect my reservation to my Marriott loyalty number. Room cleaning service is a hit-or-miss with one time being great and the next barely passable with missing towels and coffee refill. For the price of this hotel, you should expect much more.

Everything with the room is great but it was dusty in some areas and not sure why refrigerator was in the restroom.

The room at The Citizen was excellent—very nice and spotless. However, the stay had some major issues. The restaurant was closed without any prior warning, which was a huge inconvenience. Also, the area immediately surrounding the hotel is difficult; there were a large number of homeless people right outside the entrance.

Most of the staff were friendly, but we dealt with one staff member who had a terrible attitude and clearly didn't want to be working. It’s a shame because the hotel building itself is lovely, but the experience needs improvement.

The hotel charged a fee that was NOT disclosed when I booked the room. “Junk fees” are illegal in CA. I could not cancel because my reservation was non-refundable. Scam alert.

This is a beautiful hotel. Rooms are nice and comfortable. Restaurant is good and location is great as well.

Beautiful and clean hotel. Very well decorated for Christmas and all staff was very friendly. Breakfast was amazing but pricey. It cost more for our breakfast than our dinner at an upscale near by restaurant the previous night. All in all we would stay here again. Surrounding area is sad though. More homeless people than regular pedestrians.

Room was clean and well appointed. Coffee maker was a plus (but I like fresh or UHT creamer in my coffee). Grange was a real plus. I ate dinner there both nights! Staff were efficient and friendly.

I love Pizza Rock pizza! We are so lucky to have Tony Gs great food in Sac. I've heard there is a long wait (days) to get into his San Francisco restaurant. Get here early to avoid a wait (minutes)

This place has good food and a nice atmosphere. It can be a bit loud, hard to have a conversation at times. But overall it is worth it. Been there multiple times for lunch an occasionally for dinner. Seldom have had to wait for a table. My favorite pizza is the New Yorker. Definitely worth the price.

Get the one pizza they only make 72 of each day. Its breathtaking. There is a thick pesto pizza that rocks too. The rest is eh, lotta good pizza spots in Sac.

The inside smelled not so great, and it wasn't the normal K St. smell. So we sat outside, and enjoyed the free lunchtime show. Which actually looks just like the night show. Only faster.

Never been a huge fan, with so-so everything. But this afternoon the Sacramento pizza was really good, saving them from a not so great review. Plenty of fresh toppings, tasty meats, and a decent sauce. No complaints.

We had a chicken ranch pizza and it is probably the best chicken pizza I had. They also had gluten free dough which I am thankful for! The lady and the guy at the front desk were also easy going and friendly. Overall it as amazing!
