Perfect location with so many restaurants and attractions walkable. The gym is world class and the pool area is amazing. There is also a pickle ball court.

Air conditioner only worked properly 1 of the 3 nights of our stay. On our 1st night we had Facilities check or ac around 7 pm & 4 am. We were told they were having trouble with one of the chillers. We changed rooms after the first night of sweating. But the ac wasn’t much better. Hotel mgt. provided a box fan for our room. That helped! The 2nd night was comfortable. The 3rd and last was similar to night 1, AWEFUL!

The hotel is huge, which is great, but unfortunately the breakfast was really not good. However, the scenery right next to the hotel downstairs is beautiful.

The location is good, but the room is very small and quite old, and it’s very noisy at night. The main issue I’m unhappy with is that they overcharged me by $61.91. I called the hotel, and they told me to contact Trip.com, but Trip.com doesn’t make it easy to reach customer service. I guess even if I manage to get in touch, they’ll probably tell me to contact the hotel again. Being pushed back and forth like this is really frustrating.

Great room with a nice view, and the two Queen beds were spacious enough. The location is excellent! However, breakfast was just average.

An incredibly clean hotel with exceptionally friendly staff — everything was truly satisfying. The ocean view from the room was absolutely breathtaking. The only downside was that parking fees are charged separately, and the parking facility was somewhat inconvenient to use.

Not bad. The view is great~ Parking is $40 for self-parking. When leaving, swipe your card before checking out, as the parking garage requires your room key. However, if you accidentally forget, the hotel staff can help you retrieve your car.

This is my second time staying at this hotel. The views from the higher floors are excellent, and the location is very convenient. There are plenty of dining and entertainment options downstairs, and you can even walk to see the aircraft carrier. This is a large hotel.

Fun place to go for a cheaper eats and drink. Especially if you are waiting for the top of the Hyatt to open like we did. I had the burnt ends, which was the best thing I've had there! Some of the other items I've had there were not much to write home about. My wife loved the chili dog, especially since it was made with a hot link.

Ribs were undercooked and unseasoned underneath the ho-hum sauce. Service was good but this is not where you go for good Q in San Diego. Even Chile's has better ribs. KC BBQ trades solely on it's Top Gun fame. Head for Phil's instead.

I found this place by chance many years ago while traveling from Kansas City to San Diego for a convention. It was only after I walked up to it did I realize the connection to “Top Gun”.

Being a longtime fan of Kansas City style BBQ, I had a certain level of expectation. While the food was decent quality and good flavor, if stood up to real Kansas City BBQ it probably wouldn’t win any awards.

That said, I’ve visited many times over the years, and the décor seems to be growing more and more on the “Top Gun” tie in, and less and less on the Kansas City theme. That said, the place always does seem to be crowded, but the food comes from the kitchen at a decent place.

I've heard about this place for years and finally got a chance to go now that I live a mile or less away. Definitely a quaint lil place, it has character.

I ordered...uhhh...well it was BBQ brisket (a bit on the dry side) and a BBQ 1/4 ? (I've seen quails that were bigger and meatier and retained some of their moisture), ? salad (very good), baked beans (tasty) given a sample of the slaw (delish) and a Hard Root Beer (awesome).

I think there was only one server for the joint as it wasn't really busy but definitely her focus/attention was elsewhere but she was sweet. The bill winded up being I believe $24 something and normally I wouldn't mind if it were worth it as I'm not cheap, but the portions were very small (think kids menu). The sides were like 2oz cups if that and the dry chicken meat that not even the delicious sauce could save was really a huge let down.

Excellent dining, delicious soup, sourdough bread, appetizer &seafood dinner. Our service was absolutely excellent! Atmosphere was very pleasant overlooking the water. Worth the price for service &savory food!

This place was not good we ordered medium rare steaks, they came out so overcooked they were basically jerky... we ordered two cocktails that were awful as well. For 130 bucks I definitely would not recommend. You would be better off finding an actual steak house. To be fair the oysters were good though and the service was good.

We had good time here. Had a great table. The seafood was made very well. They have good food and drinks choice. We had fish and chips too, which was very good. They have good staff. They were nice enough to take care of each of our need.

Wonderful service. Great waiter. Quick food. I ordered the $50 king crab meal. It is way overpriced friends! And to top it off NOT fresh and served cold. The rest of my family enjoyed their food. I want to give 4 stars..... just because the view and service is great.... but I didn't like my meal ?

I asked for two beers that happened to no longer be on the menu yet they where there, then I ordered a Shephard's pie for 16 dollars that was the size of a pop tart. Needless to say I would not recommend going to this establishment for dinner.

I have eaten here about a half dozen times, and it has always been good...until last weekend.
with a party of 9 looking for sushi, 6 of whom were out-of-towners, we headed back to the hotel where the 6 were staying, since we have eaten here before with good results. But this visit would be different.
we were seated quickly, and given water. and after that, we had to ask for water refills, had to let the waiter know that we were ready to order (after having to wave him down), had to convince the waiter that it would be best to put our sushi order on two seperate orders so that we wouldn't have to be reaching across each other to eat, the the waiter wanted us to put it all on one order to be easier for him! when he finally brought drink orders, he got two of the four beers ordered wrong. the two people who didn't order sushi got their dinners, and ate them (one had his lobster tail over-cooked, and his veal chop was tasteless), were all done and ready to leave, before the rest of us got our food, still had to ask for more water, when sushi finally arrived, one of the orders was wrong and the waiter wanted to take both orders back to fix it and didn't seem to understand why we were not going to let him take our food that we had been waiting more than an hour for. (the waiter didn't understand much).
my end of the table finished our sushi before the other side of the table got theirs.

BUT the good news is the manager sincerly appologized, comped the one dinner that wasn't prepared correctly, and gave us 25% off the rest of the bill.
He even addmitted that they were not too busy, and that the waiter has 2 years experience, so there was no reason to have such bad service.
I will not stop going here, but if I have one more bad experience, then that will be it.
