The hotel offers a great overall atmosphere, with a private inner bay and easy access to the beach. The environment is lovely, and there are plenty of recreational facilities on the property. That said, the room was a bit small, and there was an unpleasant smell coming from the air conditioning, which was disappointing for a hotel at this level.

Check in process was great. Staff was kind and accommodating. Studio room was very nice with a beautiful view of the bay. The only downfall was we attempted to dine at Dockside and never was greeted by a server so we left after about 10 minutes. Menu was limited as well. Other than this dining experience we highly recommend staying here.

Awesome staff, Andre at the front desk was on top of his game. When he found out, it was our anniversary he provided a credit to be used on my dinner at the hotel. Our room was awesome overlooking the bay harbor. I definitely will return there for my next San Diego visit.

Great, fun staff! Enjoyed the pool, bar, and Halloween cruise. Only negative was the smoke alarm low battery started alerting at 6:30AM. They came very quickly and changed it out. I got back to sleep within 15 mins.

Room was adequate. The bed sunk in the middle and toilet tank cover in bad condition. Gym was nice but temperature I too hot.  Staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good

Over all the stay was pleasant! Only the 30$ parking fee for one night seems a bit over priced. Most hotels I stayed previously were free parking for their customers.

It was a nice, quiet, clean place to stay. However, it's been two weeks since I returned from my trip, and my deposit has not been refunded yet. I asked for a receipt and they said they would send it to me by email, but I haven't received it either. I'm a little disappointed with their handling.

We stayed there one night and didn’t have blankets. It was raining and really cold. After we got to the room we realized there’s no blankets so I called reception and they told me I needed to go back and get some. Why didn’t they mentioned that to me when I checked in? SMH then the blankets we got were so old and not comfortable at all.

There is basically no service, no breakfast, convenient parking, and no response when I emailed to ask for a receipt.

The hotel is generally ok. The room and bathroom are old, but the place is clean. It is a three-story building with an elevator. The free Wi-Fi is not very useful. Parking is USD20 per night, which is quite expensive.

Overall, it's quite good, considering it's a fairly large motel resort. The only complaint is the thin flooring; whenever someone walks past, the ground shakes. Very nice room, with microwave, refrigerator, bar, sofa can put a 1.5 bed very comfortable, can accommodate up to 6 people. Our family of 5 lived very happily. There is a CVS store about 300 meters downstairs and a 7-11 a little further. Girls should not go out alone at night, there are messy people on the street.

It's in a great location on a leisure and vacation island with hundreds of yachts nearby. The scenery is fantastic, and it's convenient for walking and jogging. However, the room was a bit old and had a slight musty smell, so it needed to be ventilated for a while. Fortunately, there were doors and windows at the front and back, so ventilation was smooth.

It is a 3 star hotel and that’s what you get. The room is adequate but it’s quite bare for what you are paying. Affordable stay with a great location near the airport and with convenient access to major roadways. We were upgraded to the renovated rooms. They were decent and the beds were comfortable. If youd prefer to spend your money exploring San Diego rather than paying more for a room I highly recommend.

The room was freezing cold and I put the heater on , but it only got colder. Had to wait for maintenance to come fix it . We wasted time waiting for that . I guess it depends if you are in the main building or the outer buildings. Was a bit shocked when we had to walk outside to our rooms. Great location and free shuttle to the airport. Located at convoy so good for food, has wide parking spaces but might run out on busy days if u return late, pretty good room but doesn’t clean your room until you checkout so keep that in mind, 15-20 minute drive to downtown, overall hotel I would recommend.

The hotel was very nice and clean and great value for the money. It just sits in a strange pocket of an area that is sketch. The hotel next door attracts a seedy crowd and there are many vagrants hanging around. However, once you got to main road the area was fine and very close to everything. The hotel is OK. The location is very good if you want to be close to Old Town, and it is also convenient to Ocean Beach and the rest of Point Loma. My only complaint is parking. Our room was missing the chairs that were supposed to be at the table in the kitchenette. The bathroom needed more hooks for hanging wet towels to dry. There was 5 of us with luggage and when asked for a cart they didn’t have any available to use.

I went to the center of San Diego, and I still think the Hilton is good. The health environment and services are good. Safety comes first when I go out. I think the facilities are good and it is a pleasant travel experience.

This is a very old hotel, more like a motel. Our room had direct access to the public parking lot downstairs, which made us feel unsafe. I stayed in The Horton Grand for six nights from 8/16 till 8/22 in 2024. Unbelievably, my room (#321) did not have a refrigerator, although two staff members at the front desk (reception) claimed that every room had one. I remember several years ago before the pandemic my room did have a microwave oven and a refrigerator when I stayed in the same hotel.
