Bahia Resort Hotel, San Diego1 / 29

San Diego, 998 W Mission Bay Dr, 92109 San-Diego, Kaliforniya, SShA (10 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The hotel offers a great overall atmosphere, with a private inner bay and easy access to the beach. The environment is lovely, and there are plenty of recreational facilities on the property. That said, the room was a bit small, and there was an unpleasant smell coming from the air conditioning, which was disappointing for a hotel at this level.
Room is very clean and comfortable. The staff at check in were very nice and helpful
Check in process was great. Staff was kind and accommodating. Studio room was very nice with a beautiful view of the bay. The only downfall was we attempted to dine at Dockside and never was greeted by a server so we left after about 10 minutes. Menu was limited as well. Other than this dining experience we highly recommend staying here.
Awesome staff, Andre at the front desk was on top of his game. When he found out, it was our anniversary he provided a credit to be used on my dinner at the hotel. Our room was awesome overlooking the bay harbor. I definitely will return there for my next San Diego visit.
$$50 resort fee but nothing but a pool and hot tub. Not worth paying additional $110 for two night's!!!
Great, fun staff! Enjoyed the pool, bar, and Halloween cruise. Only negative was the smoke alarm low battery started alerting at 6:30AM. They came very quickly and changed it out. I got back to sleep within 15 mins.

Room was adequate. The bed sunk in the middle and toilet tank cover in bad condition. Gym was nice but temperature I too hot.  Staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good
The room was clean, the mattress and pillows were a bit soft.
Over all the stay was pleasant! Only the 30$ parking fee for one night seems a bit over priced. Most hotels I stayed previously were free parking for their customers.
It was a nice, quiet, clean place to stay. However, it's been two weeks since I returned from my trip, and my deposit has not been refunded yet. I asked for a receipt and they said they would send it to me by email, but I haven't received it either. I'm a little disappointed with their handling.
good location and good service.
The location is convenient, the price is right, the service is good, clean and comfortable, and suitable for family travel accommodation.

It was nice location close to little Italy and the harbor room was clean and nice staff
We stayed there one night and didn’t have blankets. It was raining and really cold. After we got to the room we realized there’s no blankets so I called reception and they told me I needed to go back and get some. Why didn’t they mentioned that to me when I checked in? SMH then the blankets we got were so old and not comfortable at all.
Great stay, value price and close to everything we needed. We will stay again.
𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱. I stayed there for 2 weeks, working from home during the day, going out at night. Pros: - excellent value for the comfort and amenities at under $65/night - great desk & comfortable chair for laptop work - nice modern Philips large-screen TV you can connect to via HDMI - the Internet was ok (~10Mbps) but disconnected daily (reconnecting the WiFi restored it...

The vending machines were sold out especially water, fortunately there was a water dispenser at the front desk.
There is basically no service, no breakfast, convenient parking, and no response when I emailed to ask for a receipt.
The hotel is generally ok. The room and bathroom are old, but the place is clean. It is a three-story building with an elevator. The free Wi-Fi is not very useful. Parking is USD20 per night, which is quite expensive.
Overall, it's quite good, considering it's a fairly large motel resort. The only complaint is the thin flooring; whenever someone walks past, the ground shakes. The cleaning truck rumbles like thunder. The soundproofing is poor, and you can hear everything you hear from the outside. If you plan to stay out later, be sure to put a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door, otherwise the cleaning staff will...
Pros: For those who don't drive, the location is convenient. You can walk to Fashion Valley to buy things. There are restaurants near the hotel. There is a small swimming pool and bubble bath, and you can also do laundry. The room is large and feels quite spacious. Basic microwave, refrigerator, coffee machine, and small soap are provided. The quality of the bedding is OK, and it is more comfortable...

Service and location were great.. rooms were nice and clean and big and you won’t be disappointed with this hotel!
The room is clean and big, I like it very much
The waiters are very kind, and the hotel implements well.
The hotel facilities generally do not match the price, and you can check in at 4 pm, and you need to check out at 12 noon. Maybe it is a tourist hotspot city and you don’t have to worry about business.
The hotel is very good! The girls at the front desk are horrible! Repeatedly deducted the room fee already paid on Ctrip! Not by the elevator, but next to the elevator!

Great view, good food at Blue restaurant. Having amenities.
Excellent location, with a sea view right from the window, and the service was warm and welcoming.
It's in a great location on a leisure and vacation island with hundreds of yachts nearby. The scenery is fantastic, and it's convenient for walking and jogging. However, the room was a bit old and had a slight musty smell, so it needed to be ventilated for a while. Fortunately, there were doors and windows at the front and back, so ventilation was smooth.
It is a 3 star hotel and that’s what you get. The room is adequate but it’s quite bare for what you are paying. Body wash had run out, there was no toothbrush or slippers, lights were quite dim, the fan didn’t work. The room shows its age. Nevertheless, it is in a very scenic location. You’ll need to rent a car to take full advantage
The hotel is very big, and it takes some walking distance from the lobby to where you stay. The facilities are generally old, but it is still quiet.
I went to San Diego on a business trip and found a small hotel like a motel. A very bad experience was that the parking lot was right in front of the room... There were noises as I walked by, and the hotel check-in was slow. Although the room is old, it is clean. What I don't understand is that there is no mineral water in the room. Affordable stay with a great location near the airport and with convenient access to major roadways. We were upgraded to the renovated rooms. They were decent and the beds were comfortable. If youd prefer to spend your money exploring San Diego rather than paying more for a room I highly recommend.
Amazing hotel loved the stay. The entire staff was super friendly and accommodating from the shuttle guy, front desk, housekeepers and bartender. Lovely pool spa area and nice gym. Great rooms and location is less than 10 minute drive to airport. Great hotel bar with lots of TVs and good drinks menu. The cookie and water was tasty. No complaints would def stay here again
The room was freezing cold and I put the heater on , but it only got colder. Had to wait for maintenance to come fix it . We wasted time waiting for that . The rooms were dirty, like the bathrooms had pubic hair in it , weren’t even wiped down , so I had to go to the cvs to get cleaning supplies . The heater was so loud I couldn’t hear the tv , and the place smelled moldy and had construction goin...
I guess it depends if you are in the main building or the outer buildings. Was a bit shocked when we had to walk outside to our rooms. Great location and free shuttle to the airport. Shout out to George L (Front office manager) to give me a warm welcome. If you manage your expectations then you won't be disappointed if you get the rooms that is not in the main building.
Had my wedding reception here and it was absolutely perfect. Huge shoutout to Amanda and her team for all their help putting everything together. Amanda was always there to answer any questions I had, and the whole process went so smoothly. I also stayed in one of the suites for the rest of my wedding trip, and everything was so clean and perfect. I highly recommend this hotel for any event or even...
The rooms are kinda old and the walls are paper thin. You can hear everything! But they do have a quiet side with signs up. It only helps if you have quiet neighbors though. You can get your parking validated at the front desk. Location is great.

The kids really like the pool. Nice hotel.
Pretty good hotel near the airport. Can hear some noise as the walls and doors are not very noise proof.

Located at convoy so good for food, has wide parking spaces but might run out on busy days if u return late, pretty good room but doesn’t clean your room until you checkout so keep that in mind, 15-20 minute drive to downtown, overall hotel I would recommend.

The hotel was very nice and clean and great value for the money. It just sits in a strange pocket of an area that is sketch. The hotel next door attracts a seedy crowd and there are many vagrants hanging around. However, once you got to main road the area was fine and very close to everything. I did enjoy my stay and would stay here again.
The guest services were not my issue. But the bathroom floor was not very clean, and the bed sizes are a joke. Brittany and Stephanie were great though. They were polite and were doing the best to provide our accommodations. This hotel's idea of a king size bed is actually a queen, and their queen is actually a full size bed - Just so you know what you're getting. We don't see ourselves staying here...
My boyfriend and I stayed here for our anniversary and it was a very nice hotel. Good amenities and it all felt very nice. But the trouble was the location. It’s in a very ghetto area, with several strip clubs not even a block away and most of the room’s view could be taken up by ads for weed stores. Has to pay $20/day for parking and the front desk even recommended we didn’t seek out free parking...
Started overnight for two nights. First night came in late but had previously spoken with the front desk about coming late at night. First night we didn't get the room type we reserved but we were able to switch the next morning. They gave us a voucher for free breakfast which was good. It was for a buffet which had a decent standard hotel breakfast. Both rooms we stayed in were clean an tidy. We had...
Always great here. Friendly and efficient staff, quiet hotel, nice pillows. Good free coffee in the morning. Better than higher end hotels in Starwood without being fancy or expensive. Perfect alternative to downtown hotels. Short ride to business district
We stayed a week and enjoyed our stay. The location is a bit shady and paying for parking is something I've never heard of before so I gave it a 4 star. It is central to everything we wanted to see and do so that was a great for us.

I stayed for four nights to watch a Padres game. The room quality and service were excellent and well worth the price. On the second night, the neighboring room was extremely noisy past midnight. The room was different with photos on hotel reservations site.
The service was excellent First choice for business travel The location is very good Check-in service feels very good
Perfect for a solo business trip. Nice and clean. Friendly staff.
The location of the hotel is very convenient on Broadway. The hotel rooms are served 24 hours a day, and there are free fruits including oranges and apples at the front desk. It's too late. Regular cleaning, the attitude of the front desk is okay, but there is no money to change. The room is relatively small, and the three-star hotel is a bit expensive for this fare.

It was huge! There were so many buildings that were a part of the hotel, it was cool! The restaurant attached was good. This hotel is an outdoor hotel with different buildings. I was in building 6. Parking is limited even though I paid for parking, I was not able to park in the garage because it was full. The hotel is apparently undergoing a new make over, a bit noisy and requires more improvement on the cleanliness. Got bitten by bed bugs.
The best hotel so close to everything💕
I stayed at this hotel because of its low price, and I thought it was a good value for money. It's a bit of a walk from the nearest bus stop, but the front desk staff were very helpful, and it's located in Little Italy, so it's safe to get around.
The front desk staff were very helpful. They explained things to me using their own translator.
The room was very clean. There are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity, and it's just a 15-minute walk to the aircraft carrier.

I really like this hotel, amazing location, excellent team and service
The hotel is OK. The location is very good if you want to be close to Old Town, and it is also convenient to Ocean Beach and the rest of Point Loma. My only complaint is parking. There isn't enough surface parking. If you park overnight in their garage, you will be charged $30. That's probably mentioned somewhere during check in, but I didn't catch it.
Pretty average but right in old town
Yes, very close to the old town.

Parking is secured, rooms are clean & spacious, easy check in and check out (they sell timeshare). Only negative is you have to pay for wifi.
This was a nice property and the staff is friendly; however, the parking garage is really compact and tough to maneuver if you don't have a small car. Parking is also $25/night which I wish I would have known prior to booking. We got a complimentary gift bag upon checking-in which I thought was nice, but they also tried talking us into going to timeshare meetings which I wanted no part of. Outside...
The room was clean and spacious. The paid WIFI is horrible. It's best to get a WIFI puck from the front desk. The problem was it was all checked out by other guess. Kitchen was very nice. No wifi. They said they were working on it but according to other reviews its always this way. No excuse day and age. They try to get you into a time share meeting.
Family fun I can't say enough about this place. Everything is brand new. Super clean, Eco-friendly rooms and the staff was superb. The two-bedroom two bathroom suites are large and come stocked with everything to make it your home away from home. Great location for a family-filled getaway. We will definitely come here again.

The Handlery Hotel stay was great. Rooms were clean and the pool area was open even with the Rain on new year’s 2026. We got food and drinks from their pool area bar at a good price, the food was great. It’s a little outdated and it could use some upgrades or amenities added, but it had the San Diego look. One thing I would say is take out the Daily parking fee that is not added until you check in...
Wonderful weekend with my sweet man. We liked the amenities and restaurant and lounge (bartender was great).
I tried canceling my room because my daughter's plan changed. She was going into bootcamp and having a hard time. I understand their cancellation policy I just thought they would take into consideration the reason as to why I had to cancel. If not a full refund maybe a partial.
There is no elevator, so it is difficult to carry large luggage up to the second floor, but being able to do laundry is a great thing during a long trip. The bar is small but has drinks and food, and being able to eat by the pool was very convenient.
The tv reception was fuzzy at best. The pool bartenders were excellent!

location is ok but quite a long walk and hilly. Room is large and clean. The basin in not in the toilet but outside near the bed area. Breakfast is good. Overall is good for me. Thanks
Nice room with a small balcony. Breakfast included. The hotel is in a good location.
It is really near the Downtown Portland Nordstrom . It is a great hotel. If you are a business traveler to shop at the Anniversary Sale. You don't have to travel to Seattle. A very beautiful hotel, it looks like it has a long history.
If I will have next chance to come here,I will also choose this hotel
I stayed in The Horton Grand for six nights from 8/16 till 8/22 in 2024. Unbelievably, my room (#321) did not have a refrigerator, although two staff members at the front desk (reception) claimed that every room had one. I remember several years ago before the pandemic my room did have a microwave oven and a refrigerator when I stayed in the same hotel.
It is a great hotel with rich heritage, highly recommended
Great location in the Gaslamp District. The hotel is charming as a renovation from the past, especially the balconies overlooking the courtyard and the wooden staircase up to the rooms. Moxy Hotels generally skew "fun", with young, friendly staff and a good vibe. This one offers both in spades -- great location, design that is a cut above, and super friendly front desk team. What a cool place to stay! The whole place was a vibe. I loved the bar check in desk and welcome cocktail. The rooms were very chic, the staff was wonderful, and they even had a speakeasy on site! The rooms were small, but functional. The food at the bar was good as well. We'll definitely try other Moxy locations after this.
Simple Hotel if you need a place to stay in Downtown SD. Not much to highlight hotel but it was clean and closeby to restaurants we liked. Fair for the price
The staff was very nice, the amenities were very accessible, the food was good, and the rooms were very creatively designed. My only issue was the noise.
