Staff was very welcoming. Room was clean and large. Only negative is reservation said city view and our view was an old building across street that was empty, perhaps receiving some rehab. The main entrance to the hotel is actually at the back of the property. At the front of the hotel, you have to use your room card to enter. The customer service at the Grant was impeccable, more than one can ask for at what I consider to be an affordable price. I stayed in room 604 which is located right beside the elevator. 24 hours a day you hear the elevator going up & down. I would recommend avoiding room 604 for this reason. It's only a guess as to why I got this room, but I was there very early before their usual check-in time...

The room was clean, tasteful, and quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time in Pendry.

I enjoyed my stay very much. I was particularly appreciative of how the hotel made accommodations to suite my needs and wants vs. to adhere to policies and procedures irrelevant to the hotel guests/clients.

The front desk manager was a pleasure to deal with. We are Elwood Members at the Pendry in Newport and we were do impressed with how we were treated, the staff and the beautiful room we stayed in. Highly recommend to stay at this property. If you want 5 star service, you will get it at this Pendry!

Short stay for us, but will be back! The room was very comfortable, I must buy the pillows! Bath products were top notch, shower was great. Gym looked amazing but we didn’t get a chance to try it. Bar was good, good service. Breakfast was delicious, fast friendly service.

We were always short towels and products and the “cleaning” was minimal. We paid for 3 rooms with fire pits and rarely could get them lit. My family and I stayed in a one bedroom suite for the Thanksgiving holidays. Our room had a leak from the ceiling during our stay. Staff wasn’t too friendly other than the valet guys. Restaurant was a disaster, food was not fresh and warmed up in the microwave. One side was warm other was cold. Would not stay again.

We arrived earlier than the 4 p.m. check-in time so we could grab lunch before checking in, and we left our luggage and carry-on at the front desk. After check-in, our luggage took 30 minutes to be delivered. The carry-on wasn’t delivered at all, so I had to go to the front desk to claim it. The night front desk person was nice, but the day front desk gentleman wasn’t very courteous.

Fabulous location. Warm and welcoming. Charming and beautiful. Great for the family.

Great Place, great location. Staff was awesome, from front desk to valet! Awesome place ! Would have been 5 star excellent except our room was next to the post office which took truck deliveries all night. So it was tough to get a good night sleep.

We're 5 minutes from La Mesa Village. The La Mesa Village is the historical center of La Mesa. Many of the surrounding buildings remain as they were in 1912 when the City of La Mesa was incorporated. La Mesa Boulevard features many one-of-a-kind retail shops, antique stores and great places to dine. La Mesa Village business owners place an emphasis on high quality products and personalized, friendly service. Within just five square blocks, you can experience a hassle free shopping experience that puts the malls to shame.

Car, Uber or Lyft. You can park your car in the driveway (fits 3 cars). Street parking is also available, you can find a spot easily (make sure to check signs for any parking restrictions).

We promise to act immediately to remedy any issues, however, we do not relocate or issue refunds due to malfunctioning equipment or any other guest dissatisfaction or due to construction noise or any other items out of our control, unless the home is considered uninhabitable.

- All rentals with 28+ nights require a rental agreement signed naming and identifying all adult occupants (must present valid ID).

No one likes rules, least of all, us -- but we do have a few requirements so that the home is in as perfect a shape for each guest as possible.
-Please respect check-in and checkout times. Check-in: 4pm-10pm. Checkout: 10am
-Host may request a photocopy of renter's ID for verification before check-in.
-This is a private property and the host reserves the right to access the property at any time to perform maintenance repairs necessary or requested by the renter.
-Please be respectful to the neighbors and keep noise levels low, especially between the hours of 9pm-10am.

Pool Heating:
*Pool heating can be arranged in advance at an additional fee of $50/day (minimum charge of $200).
*Pool heating, when hired, is limited to 84F so that the equipment is not impacted by overuse. Any tampering with or overriding of our settings will result in a complete loss of the amenity and security deposit forfeiture.
*Hosts will not be able to provide any refunds for occasional non working pool heating that occur during your stay but we will do our best to have it solved in a timely manner.

Late Checkout Policy
Guests must check out by the designated checkout time specified in the rental agreement. Late checkouts without prior approval will incur fees to cover costs including, but not limited to, waiting times for cleaning crews, canceled or delayed cleaning appointments, hardships on arriving guests (e.g., delayed check-ins or compensation), additional wear and tear on the property, and increased utility usage (e.g., electricity, water, or HVAC). The fees, based on the duration past the checkout time, are as follows:
• Less than 1 hour: 10% of the nightly rate or $100, whichever is greater.
• 1-2 hours: 15% of the nightly rate or $250, whichever is greater.
• More than 2 hours: Full nightly rate.
To avoid fees, guests are encouraged to coordinate with us in advance for late checkout requests. Approved late checkouts are subject to availability and may incur additional charges as agreed upon. These fees are designed to compensate for disruptions to property turnover and operational costs, and we will provide documentation (e.g., cleaning schedules, guest complaints) upon request to ensure transparency.

Additional Cleaning Policy
Guests are expected to leave the property in a reasonably clean condition, consistent with normal use. Any cleaning required beyond what is considered normal or reasonable, as determined by the property management, will result in an additional cleaning fee of $100 per hour.
