Spent a quick 3 day get away at this lovely, spotlessly clean, updated boutique hotel. Comfy beds with the softest sheets.... Across the street from the beach, a short block away from 4 great restaurant/bars with excellent food (Harat's was amazing) plus 2 more on the beach, all with great happy hours and live music ....no car needed with the local Circuit shuttle to farther points in Ft Lauderdale for $2 a ride... huge, comfortable room with large sitting area and kitchenette was perfect. The only minor hiccup was a non working ice maker, but the concierge provided a bag of ice to get us thru. Also use of free beach chairs, towels and umbrellas!! First trip there, but certainly won't be the last!

This is our second stay at the hotel - 2 years apart. It is a fabulous room and location. Parking is in front of the hotel and was always available to us. Bring the minimum and you will be fine. You can walk to everything - beach supplies, groceries, liquor store, restaurants, live music. Cross the street and you are at the beach with chair and umbrella rentals. Our room both times was the larger suite with a private balcony. I think are only 12 rooms. It has a kitchen/living/dining area and a separate bedroom. All tastefully decorated and super quiet. The grounds are well maintained and surrounded by palms trees. There are plenty of places to stay in Lauderdale by the Sea but this one stands out.

We had a fantastic stay at the Elmar! It was our first time there. The location is close to everything but inside the room was quiet. We loved the separate bedroom and living space. The room was clean and all furniture was comfortable and stylish. There is central air in the whole unit. We stayed on an end unit so there was a lot of natural light but also blackout shades for when we slept. They had beach chairs, beach towels, and umbrellas for the beach which is only a short walk away. The staff was very kind and friendly. We will definitely stay at the Elmar again!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at The Elmar. It is located in a prime location surrounded by many restaurants and steps away from the beach. The room is newly renovated and very clean, with modern bathroom fixtures and kitchen appliances. The hotel owner is very nice and accommodating, but also allows for privacy. The room also comes with a parking space which is a huge win! We would definitely recommend The Elmar to anyone who is looking to stay in downtown Lauderdale-by-the-sea!

After our extremely positive experiences from our stay in March this year, we chose the Elmar Boutique Hotel again. We were able to spend a wonderful 10 days here over the holidays. We were once again happy about the large, very comfortable apartment and the perfect cleanliness down to the last detail. Everything is lovingly decorated by Corina and her team and kept in the best possible condition. We enjoyed our privacy and received any service we requested in an extremely friendly and timely manner at any time. For us, the Elmar Boutique Hotel remains the ideal place to enjoy peace and relaxation while being within walking distance of the beach, many restaurants and shops. Many thanks again to Corina and her team for giving us a fantastic holiday!

The Elmar Boutique Hotel is a special place! We absolutely loved everything about this charming property including not only how friendly and helpful the the staff was but our fellow guests as well. We received a few text messages prior to arriving confirming our stay and then checking to see on our day of arrival when we’d be coming. We had an AM flight and to our surprise our room was ready early (noon) and we were upgraded to the spacious room (bedroom, kitchen, living room with private patio). Everything was very clean and updated (modern). The outdoor space with the heated pool was also very clean and comfortable with loungers, fire pit, table/chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, beach bags plus bikes, boogie boards, beach chairs and beach umbrellas available to guests. Such a perfect touch! Location can’t be beat! One block or two from the main ***** with restaurants but surprisingly very quiet at the hotel. The beach entrance is also a quick block walk the opposite direction through a park where they have a Farmers Market every Sunday. You’ll also find Publix an easy 10-12 minute walk or bike ride. We did not get a rental car since the area is easy to get around by foot or bike (or Uber if needed). This was a girls weekend with my adult daughter but now my husband is anxious to return with me (hopefully some day soon)!

My husband and I went here for a few days and have stayed at several other hotels nearby. This was head and shoulders above them. First all it was walking distance to all the bars and restaurants and also the ocean. The place itself was pristine and looked just like the pictures. It was off-season, but one of the reasons we picked it was the no-smoking rule by the pool which is important to us. The room itself had a large king bed in its own room with night-table and dresser. Nice updated shower and large closet in the hallway. The living area had a large couch and chair and a dining table with four chairs. Kitchen was great with a fridge, microwave, keurig coffee maker and a small stovetop. They changed our towels whenever we left them in a small bag for them. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone

This is our second time staying here in the past few months. The rooms are large and clean. The hotel is quaint and expertly run. We have enjoyed traveling here in January with a group and then in April with just the two of us, both times were great. The pool is great and the location cannot be beat, with the beach and numerous restaurants right here. Corina the owner is super helpful and friendly.

My first impression when I walked into one of the rooms on the second flood of the Elmar Boutique hotel was just WOW and WOW!!! The room is modern, spacious,, quiet, and spotless.
The room offers partial ocean view from the east side, and A1A on the west side.
The pool is clean, large and heated, and perfect after a beach day! Great restaurants and fun bars are just a few steps away. Perfect gateway place for couples or group of friends.

We came to The Elmar Boutique Hotel for a couples getaway and it did not disappoint! The location is prime, walking distance to restaurants, bars, Publix and anything else you could need. The hotel is just a short walk from the beach and has a wonderful pool setup where we found ourselves spending most of our days. With it only having 11 rooms, we often had it all to ourselves! The rooms were exceptionally clean, modern/minimalistic, and Corina and Emery were so accommodating for anything we needed additionally. They made sure our rooms were next to our friends without us even requesting it. Cannot recommend this place enough, will definitely be back!
