Gulf Breeze Cottages in Sanibel

My husband and I spent a long weekend here in March; it was so wonderful. The location and room was perfect. I am looking forward to returning!

The past few days of seeing photos from the storm have been awful. My heart aches for the Island of Sanibel and the people who make it so wonderful. Sending prays that damage can be repaired, and everyone is safe 🙏🏻❤️

My family stayed here every year until the week of September 11, 2001. We got there on 9/11 and then a Hurricane turned and hit in the night that week and the owners were literally in wet suits banging on windows to get everyone out and take all of us to their home for shelter as the storm surge was pretty bad. I would LOVE to stay here again, I was only 7 years old at the time. It’s a gorgeous location with beautiful direct beach access. I don’t know if the ownership has changed since then or not but they really cared about their guests and it’s a perfect location for families or couples. I couldn’t recommend it more. Just watch out for surprise hurricanes at any and all Florida beaches during peak hurricane season lol

Quaint Beach cottages feels like a hide a way. Clean cold ac and a path to the beach. No hotel can capture the atmosphere here. Family owned. This is a perfect spot to chill and enjoy the sugar sand

So sad about what happened to Gulf Breeze in the hurricane. My family have been coming to this wonderful place for around 35 years. I hope rebuilding is possible as there is nothing like Sanibel and nothing like Gulf Breeze.

My family of 4 stayed there for 4 nights. Cottage 12 was just perfect. The cottage comes with everything you need:
- Full Kitchen with additional toaster oven
- The bedrooms were spacious and had very comfortable beds and pillows
- The porch had an umbrella that was nice to have a nice BBQ
- Gas BBQ! We were able to save on charcoal and and eat our steaks right away.
- Hose right next to the cottage to use
- Beach Umbrellas
- Wagons to take beach chairs and floaties
- Real beach chairs/lounges to take on the sand
- An area to wash sea shells
- Shower close to the beach to wash off
-- Only thing that the cottage needed, was more toilet paper.

Our stay was amazing, and we would love to be back soon!
