I'm being generous with the 2 stras for the OYO/Inn on 17. The contactless check in was nice, the multiple annoying emails before the trip were not.
Upon arriving in the room, the washclothes were still quite damp, which meant they soaked through and got the towel wet also.
More importantly, the walls are thin and my neighbors were loud and up well past midnight. This could have been mitigated by the A/C, but it wouldn't operate unless actively cooling (no, "always on") feature. For this reason, I would never stay here again.
If you get lucky with the neighbors, you might have a better experience, but why risk it? Try another hotel in Savannah area first

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! I would leave negative stars if I could. First off check the crime rate in this area, it is in one of the highest crime areas in the city! We paid for 4 nights plus they charged us a $50 "refundable" deposit which we never received back! We checked in on a Thursday afternoon and went to the office the following morning to check out because it was so bad! They didn't care at all why we were leaving or that we were leaving. We didn't get a single dime of the $447.42. Not only were we out of pocket $447.42 for a place that misrepresented themselves online, we then had to go pay for a place that was actually safe & clean. Not only is it not a safe area, the inside of the rooms are terrible! There was a crack underneath the door that any small animal could fit under, cats are everywhere, the person next to us had a dog that barked all night, the king size bed looked like a taco because it was sagging in the middle so bad, we couldn't use the light in the bathroom at all because when we did it is connected to the vent in the bathroom and brought in a horrific smell of raw sewage, we had no hand towels, 1 wash cloth, and no floor mat.
I've stayed all over the United States and this is by far the worst place I have ever stayed! The 2 hours I did sleep was with a gun by my head & a chair against the door! If safety, cleanliness, and comfort is a concern/priority DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!

We stayed here for just a few hours before getting on Amtrak. Don't let looks deceive you. The rooms were newly renovated, clean, and quiet. The people at the front desk were very friendly. We had a great little stay at a great rate for Savannah. Definitely recommend.

My partner and I both enjoyed our stay here, we thought the room was nice, clean, and a good deal. It may be nothing fancy as others have said but we thought most things were above average for hotels in the price range. The staff were very nice, the bed was large and we felt safe. The room was on the small side but I think that makes temperature regulation easier. Only complaint is that the wifi didn't really work while we were there. It can also be noisy when trucks or motorcycles pass on the road nearby so if you are a light sleeper try to get a room far from the road. Room 1 is closest to the road so try to get a higher number.

When deciding on a place to stay, I typically look at price and reviews. This place not only had a very affordable price for one night, but had some of the best reviews out of any other hotels/motels in the area. It's nothing fancy which is understandable for what you pay, but it's clean and the staff are friendly and you can tell that they try to add little touches to the rooms to make them a little more homey and comfortable. As two young females traveling alone with their dog, we try to avoid roadside motels, but I would recommend this place as a clean and affordable, quick stay.

It's a motel. Don't be confused by the bright colors, though they are nice. Our room was small, the bed was huge, and it smelled like decades-old cigarette smoke. But all we needed was a cheap place to sleep, and that's what we got. I will say that the staff were very very friendly.

This is a solid budget motel. Accommodations were as expected, stars only reduced due to not being as advertised and issues with reservation/check-in.
I booked the room more than two months in advance via their website and received a confirmation email. When I arrived, there was no record of my reservation but she said there was one room left. The price that the email said I paid was $5 less than what I was actually charged and the difference wasn't significant enough to argue about but annoying. We were not told when check out was and had to call for that information and the wifi password. No information was provided at check-in or in the room.
The room has a king headboard but the mattress is definitely not king. Nowhere on their website are any rooms advertised that do not have king beds. There was also no desk.
The AC unit was fine for about an hour, then started making a horrendous noise. We fiddled with the settings until it was at least tolerable enough to sleep. It was still jarring enough to wake me a couple times but my husband slept through it.
Bed was comfortable enough. Curtains were adequate. Overall ok but disappointing. Highlight was the cats at check-in but I can't count that.

The owners who redid this place are great and very friendly. It's was very comfy and nice. The prices were great. I felt very safe. I loved thay it was pet friendly. It was my 1st time in Savannah and I will be sure to book with them next time I visit for more fun. Location had lots of food and gas stations near by. Highly recommended!!

We found the owner and the staff to be very accommodating during our extended stay here. Like ourselves, the owner and staff are animal lovers, and even gave us a box and some fun kitty toys to make our cats more comfortable. They were quick to address any concerns that we had (which were very few). The rooms are basic but very clean and comfortable, and the wifi worked flawlessly during our lengthy stay. I highly recommend them if you're looking for a comfortable, affordable, pet-friendly place to stay.
