Where to stay in Ocean City

I’ve been to quite a lot of hotels; this is the best hotel I’ve stayed at! The front desk staff was so polite and friendly. Rooms were exceptionally clean!! The shower grout was even clean! If I could give 6 stars I would. Can not wait to stay here again!

Staff was very friendly and quick to respond to replacing a toaster. Highly recommend this hotel. Pool and hot tubs were great.

Clean room, with good amenities. Nice balcony and view Wish they would have informed me or put on listing that there was going to be construction going on, one day had to turn TV up quite a bit to hear it, another day couldn't open the slider to the balcony cause the construction noise was loud Pool and hot tubs were nice

Our room was very clean. I wish the staff had mentioned there was construction going on through out the hotel. Above our room, below our room.....not much fun.

Staff was friendly, room was clean , nice amenities, restaurant had good food. One drawback was I couldn’t get the room warm enough for me.

We did not have breakfast onsite although it was available for purchase. We enjoyed the lattes! Ordered from the restaurant. Loved the view! Great room for a weekend getaway. Will return soon!

Clean, comfortable, great food, and wonderful staff. We go to Ocean City several times a year and we ALWAYS stay at Double Tree because it is consistently excellent!

Beautiful Resort. We came for the weekend to just getaway. Traveled from NJ. We had a suite and was very big and spacious. Clean. Everyone was friendly. We would love to come back in the warmer months but might be a little more expensive. Overall great experience. We've stayed in a few places down in OC and this was by far our favorite.

The room was ok, the view spectacular but the kitchen of the room was terribly empty, not even salt. The bathroom was nice and everything worked, but there was no soap. The restaurant downstairs, in the first floor was ok, but the food was not of great quality (fake avocado mix, not very nice fresh fruit). Despite those things, we had a good time.

We had an excellent view of the boardwalk, beachand the ocean. Everything was updated and clean.

We didn't have a view of the beach but the streets. Staff was amazing. Rooms could have been cleaner. Pool was not big and dirty.

Got better than what I expected for the price. Front desk ladies were happy & helpfully. Only thing that would be nice would be some type of dimmer lights for night, outlets near beds & softer beds. Will definately be staying here again! Full kitchen with full size fridge saved us $ not having to eat out. It's like a hotel sized condo.

Solid place..great location Great Location. It is a time share so you could be asked to change rooms and there aren't much ammenities but a little pool but the 2 minute walk to boardwalk on 1st street is crucial

Hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Great location and roof deck over the boardwalk. Murphy beds are great.

Boardwalk One was nice. My only complaint was the mattresses are horrible. I could feel the springs when I laid down on it. Other than that, loved the location, the water pressure and all appliances worked too.

The Quality Inn next door runs these villas. We love the QI and have frequented a handful of times. When you stay at their Villas, you have access to the Inn, which is a great perk. But this year we chose to stay at a Villa, being dog friendly, which is a plus! We were upstairs, Villa 3. These pictures on Google maps and on the Surf Villa website are dated…. When the Villas were new. They are def misleading...

It was a small cozy room. Perfect for a couple. You can see the ocean from the front porch. The manager was very welcoming and friendly. We had a great time.

The place was quaint and homey. It is not the most upgraded property, but it was still a nice stay. Very nice staff. It was super close to everything you need and convenience of parking on the property. Everything was easy and clean.

At night my air didn’t work and the parking is not good you pay and have to park away from the location

Close to boardwalk but no parking so you have to pay 15 extra dollars a day to park in 8 car parking lot so limited spots

From the moment I checked in my entire stay was wonderful. Hotel staff knew it was my birthday week and had a cheese/fruit platter waiting in my room. They checked in to see if anything was needed and accommodated me with photo shoot of beautiful ocean. Can't wait to visit again!!!!!

The room was fine but it would have been nice to at least have 2 comfortable chairs to sit in -- we only had the 4 kitchen chairs. The day we checked out, sometime during the night we lost water pressure -- unable to flush, only a trickle from the faucets -- however they refunded us one night so all good. PS -- we were there 3 nights and our room was never cleaned, beds made or trash removed.

I loved both of my stays at the Commander! The staff was pleasant, helpful and friendly; the room was immaculate! The proximity to the beach, boardwalk and ocean made for a perfect stay. Thank you so much for making my time in Ocean City so enjoyable!

Stellar service Location was great - close to everything. The property isn’t in great condition and the linens weren’t new (some stains), but it was functional for what we needed. The service though - exceptional. The owner, Anil, and Natasha went above and beyond to accommodate our late arrival and early departure times. Incredibly kind people. They made the whole stay worthwhile.

This well-located class C property is a good choice for solo and budget travelers. They have upgraded much recently, but have more to do. New plank flooring in the rooms & lobby. Not sure why there are so many bad reviews - we had a good stay. The room was recently renovated and while it wasn’t a 5 star stay, we knew what we were getting into - you get what you pay for. Honestly, it's been lovely. We stayed 5 nights in the king bed room with AC, and had no complaints at all. Even with opting for no room service, as we brought our own sheets, we were able to get as many towels/amenities as needed. My stay was great! My suite was nice and fully equipped. The ocean view was wonderful. The pillows were heavenly. Will book here again.

This is home away from home. It has everything you need, just bring yourself. Staff is always wonderful. Rooms are always clean. Always thanks to the cleaning service staff for the great job they do.

Crystal Sands motel was great! The staff is friendly from check in to check out. Nice and quiet area. We rented the family room and it was nice having the option of making a quick breakfast before the beach. It is conveniently located a block from the beach, Starbucks is across the street and CVS is a block directly behind the motel. Within a few blocks of mini golf!

Crystal sands was awesome! The staff were so friendly, they let us check into the hotel hours earlier than 3pm, were very accommodating and always available for any questions, offered free WiFi, and even let us use their extra parking lot hours after checkout so we could stay at the beach that day! The rooms were very clean and there were always people keeping it looking clean inside and outside.

Front desk guy was very nice! He was able to let us check in early and park which gave us an extra day at the beach. Rooms are a bit dated but clean. The shower has good water pressure and was always warm. They have an outdoor shower and hose too. They were very nice when needing extra toiletries. We would stay here again for a quick weekend.

The Crystal Sands was great! We booked last minute and they were very accommodating. The rooms seemed newly renovated and were very clean. Great location close to the boardwalk but not in a “rowdy” part of town. The motel was very orderly and the man at the front desk was very helpful. The free parking was also great. Did not have Ocean view and was looking for a budget friendly place during a packed weekend. Then moved or a few days to a boardwalk location with ocean front during the week.

This hotel is perfectly located right in the middle of tons of shops and restaurants. Many of which are in walking distance. The room was very clean and even had a full sized refrigerator and small stove. The staff was very friendly. We will definitely be staying again next time we are in town.

This property is in the Motel 6 class of decent enough. The Cons: moldy bathmat, hair in bedsheets, really tatty bathroom curtain, pretty weak sheets, wobbly shower head, cleanser residue on tiles in shower. Pros: Nice location. nocarpet - a germ-resistant wood floor, micro/fridge/tv all good and operational.

Rooms are nice and clean. Bed was comfortable. TV was in an odd place to watch from the bed. Shower was clean and easy to get in and out of. Vending machines, ice maker and coffee maker would make it better. 3:30 pm check in is a bit of a pain. Especially when check out is 11:00am. But 2 blocks to the beach is nice.

We had fun, & the place is a decent lower end hotel!!! It's just the min you take your shoes off it feels like they don't ever sweep away from the guest before. It was gross. If you can look over that until you go to the beach and just think it's yours!!!

I like the hotel a lot. The only reason they are receiving 3 stars is because they had no shampoo and conditioner. Grrrrr. Even when I asked for it. Also are sheets were a little dirty not to happy about that. Exactly why I always bring a extra. No one was at the front desk to call for new sheets. A litter annoying. We were on the 3rd floor at the end of the hall. There was a nice view of the bay. The room was small, but comfy. The best thing about it is the fact that it's only 2 blocks from the boardwalk. Not a bad price for being conveniently close to the boardwalk, at around 22nd st. The staff was wonderful as well! Very pleasant and helpful! I'll definitely come back.
