Great hotel with, good location, next to no amenities. The room and bed were nice clean and cozy. Would stay there again.

Location is great for walking and discovering great restaurants and shopping in the areas.

It was really a pleasure to stay at the hotel. The whole staff makes you feel appreciated (they gift you vouchers), they assist you super friendly and help with all the questions you may have. Good location, clean with decent view. Elevators can get busy so that’s one think you should keep in mind.

The hotel conveniently located next to PATH train which connects to lower Manhattan area. The position also very nice as you can enjoy the Manhattan skyline as soon as you exit the hotel. Staff very friendly & accommodating. The room simple but clean, bed also comfortable. Breakfast included with the room which is a plus! Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a budget stay.

If you are traveling with children, remember to let them know to prepare the bed. Breakfast can be very crowded, unfortunately little variety of choice. Very convenient location just steps from the Path and close to many places. Fantastic view of the New York skyline.

The hotel is pretty nice, small but definitely everything you need. The only problem we found out was that we had to pay for a “facilities fee” which i believe trip.com needs to include in the rate of the hotel or it seems deceiving the rates.

Very near the 9/11 Memorial and several subway stations. Room size was okay - for New York. Free purified water (with bottles) on all floors, and complimentary coffee and tea near the lobby. One negative feedback - the walls are quite thin. Could hear what the room next door was “watching on TV” and they were also loud at times. Other than that, it was a really good stay there.

The location was super amazing. The room had a great view, and bed was very comfortable. Staff at the reception were quite helpful, but the manager not at all. They were doing construction work above my room at 08:00 in the morning, and the manager didn't seem to care that much, even after i called the noise continued until they finished the work.

Hotel rooms need some work are starting to show their age, even just a bit of paint and some light maintenance and deep cleaning would probably be enough. Otherwise pretty decent for a NY hotel rooms are a good size, nice views and staff is friendly for NY.

The hotel is located in an upscale area of New York, which adds to its charm. One of the best features is the convenience – as soon as you step out of the hotel door, you find Subway Line 1 right there. Highly recommended for those who value both comfort and accessibility

I’m airline crew and we stay here regularly. The staff really is amazing, super sweet and caring. The rooms are big. I don’t always have a room with a Manhattan view but I’d defiantly pay extra for that if I could. Getting into Manhattan is easy- a short walk to the PATH train and one stop to vibrant West Village (one of my favourite areas in Manhattan).

Somehow convenient location near the light rail station and within walking distance from the PATH station. The establishment is not a fancy new one but good enough to stay for a short time. The only negative thing I can say about this hotel is the parking garage. It's not right next door but a block away because there a large building in between them. I grew up in Sunset Park but moved out of state years ago. This hotel was perfect—close to my old neighborhood, allowing me to visit family, park easily, and walk everywhere. Everything was spotless, the room was fresh, and I’ll definitely be back in April! Can’t wait to try the smoothies and get there early enough for the entrées!

Fun, unique hotel. DEFINITELY NOT for everyone. For our various visit in NYC and within 25 km to the west in NJ the apartments and parking availability makes Candlewood a great place. We have stayed here 5 times over 3 years and will come again. We recommend the top floor east apartment facing Hudson river.

I stay here when in NY for work. The rooms are always clean and have their own kitchen area which I like. It’s easy to get to from Manhattan by Path or ferry at Paulus Hook. It’s definitely pretty basic accommodation and you can tell as soon as you enter the reception area, nothing fancy here if people are used to higher end hotels.
