Crowne Plaza JFK Airport New York City in Queens

Was booked at this hotel after my flight got massively delayed. Called for a shuttle and the person on the other line hung up on me. The room was cheaply done. Our bathroom door was broken so it would scream when we tried to slide it shut. The walls weren't fully painted (definitely not deliberately so). The coffee machine was broken. It was also so loud since it's right by the highway. The restaurant has a limited, unimpressive, and yet very expensive menu and there's no free breakfast.

Would definitely not recommend staying here.

Frankly the only thing good about this hotel is the proximity to the JFK airport and its 24hr shuttle service. 2 starts for that. Rest all the experience wasn't good. Price per night is steep for the kind of service I received. I checked in after midnight and soon noticed missing toiletries in the bathroom. Immediately informed front desk and was assured that it will be sent immediately but even after an hour waiting no one showed up.

BROWN WATER! The airport shuttle was convenient and the lobby is nice. That’s where the good ends. First of all, we stayed in our room for three nights, and the room was not cleaned once. No new towels, no cleaning at all. We may have been fine reusing our towels, but they only give out ONE roll of cheap one-ply toilet paper. So, we ran out after day two. When we called to request more (after arriving back at the hotel at 11:30 pm after a family member’s funeral), we were told by the front desk that we could only have one roll at a time. They had no clue why the room hadn’t been cleaned or TP replaced while we were gone. They sent someone up, who took 20 minutes to get there only to arrive with handfuls of sample toothpaste, lotion, and travel toothbrushes and NO toilet paper! So we had to wait another 10 minutes for him to come back with what we actually needed. THEN- the hotel informed us that they were turning off the water due to construction and it would be off from 12:30-4:30 am. When we awoke the next morning, the water was BROWN. Not light brown or a little brown, but BLACK COFFEE BROWN. Literally looked like our toilet was filled with coffee. Ran the shower and sink for 45 minutes and it was STILL BROWN. And when the shower finally drained, black sludge was left all in the bottom of the tub! So gross!!! See the pics. Not exaggerating.

We asked for a discount or rebate of some kind, but were told it wasn’t possible. That may have salvaged our review. But alas, all that remains of our opinions is brown tub sludge.
