Great location and a staff that goes above and beyond to make everything perfect.

The staff was very attentive and friendly. Turndown service was done well and the welcome amenities were nice. I had spoken with Miranda, supervising concierge, and she had helped me through various reservations and logistics for the stay. Would love to stay here again and develop a relationship.

Great location for walking or shopping and dining in SOHO. Beautiful room. Amazing service. We really enjoyed the restaurant as well.

Fantastic hotel…perfect for shopping and restaurants.

Highly recommend.

We loved everything about our stay at The Mercer. The only negative is we should have stayed longer!

My new favorite in nyc
From Tom on the overnight shift at the front desk to the day team as well (including the trainee with the glasses) everyone at the hotel was warm, helpful and kind. Sure, the rooms aren't huge, but how many suitcases do you bring anyway? The location can't be beat, and I love the fact the hotel name is nowhere to be found from the street.

Would highly recommend
The location one of the best parts of this hotel. You are steps away from luxury shops and restaurants. You have access to Zero Bond and a speak easy bar (located in the basement). The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, beds were comfortable, and the space was pretty good.

Hotel room has no real window to the outside
The music from the bar downstairs was blasting late into the night preventing us to sleep
Very expensive hotel for such a low quality
At least either reduce your prices or offer a better service for such a cost

I can't think of a better place to stay for our first visit to NYC. The Mercer Hotel is absolutely amazing! The staff at the hotel were so pleasant and accommodating. From the initial reservation process, concierge, door greetings, check in, housekeeping, and during our visit, we couldn't not have been treated better! The rooms are very clean and well stocked with anything you may need. Most comfortable bed EVER! The location is perfect for walking out the door and being able to experience the city. Highly recommend the restaurant for the same treatment and incredible food! Thank you for spoiling us!

Shockingly expensive ($17) Bloody Mary and the fried chicken of the chicken and waffle was raw near the bone. When I pointed this out, our server looked confused, and finally asked "so, you want another one?"

The BMC burger is a must try! The service was great too. I've been here twice, & tried the black bean veggie burger the first time, which I must admit also happened to be very good. However, the BMC burger takes the cake. Their cocktails are great & you can also get wine by the glass or by the bottle! I had their pinot noir the first time. The hemingway daiquiri was my go to cocktail here & it did not dissapoint so try it!

Impressed by the decor when we first got in, and the highlight of this review is the decor. Had a reservation and still had to wait. They seated us at the worst table in the house. They brought menus and left us for 15 minutes. We had to ask for our own water and they immediately asked if we were ready to order and hasn't even set the table up. Food was pretty good, a little salty. Worst part of the night was the manager. Kept walking the floor giving nasty looks making it extremely uncomfortable for our dining experience. Okay place, don't plan on coming back.

Been here a couple of times. Very nice place for brunch. Staff is very friendly and usually not too crowded.

I love having business breakfasts at Balthazar as well as romantic dinners with my lovely wife. The place really looks like a French brasserie. The food is good. The service is great as well as the ambiance. If you want to experience a piece of Paris without going to Paris, this is clearly one of the best place in New York. Lovely restaurant.

At the recommendation of a friend, I attended this place. I did not know what to expect. The name was a bit strange to me. I was not sure what I was going to find in this place. Right when I walked in I was really taken aback by the lighting. The place was bright and had a very unique look to it. It did not seem like the typical restaurant I go to with my wife. This place had an interesting vibe and I was excited to try out the food. Once we were sat down, we got our food in no time. I was surprised at how quick we got our food. I really loved the Christmas decorations that they had there. I hope to return soon!

Really wanted to like Balthazar more than I did. Very accommodating despite not having reservations and being extremely busy. Solid lunch service. Good cheeseburger, with excellent beef. Okay fries. But, really, this is destination dining by reputation, not quality or value. Nothing here, other than reputation and sterling ambiance, was better than what could be had at an upstart, or even a neighborhood fave. Don't get me wrong, I'm not sorry I dined at Balthazar, but I'm glad it was lunch. For the orices, I could do better so many other places that still have passion for food. Go, but go once and temper your expectations regarding innovation, excellence, or value. You'll do okay. Or, a bit better.

When here for dinner: Fantastic food, great ambiance and location. Very nice wine list. Definitely worth visiting. I hear brunch is also really good.
20.11.2017 Jennifer
Although we made reservations for a party of 5 for brunch, we still had to wait for a good half hour to be seated. I passed by this place many times while in SoHo and had wanted to try it, so I decided it was worth the wait. The restaurant was bustling with people and waiters, but the noise level wasn't too bad as all of us were able to have a conversation without using our "outdoor" voice. I ordered the eggs Benedict, my usual at brunch. The sunny-side up eggs were served over a slice of bacon and an English muffin. The English muffin was a bit burnt and too hard for my liking. The taste was okay, the portion was decent, but I expected a little more. I walked away paying about $40 for brunch. Was it worth it? I don't think so. I've had better brunches for less. But I guess I would have never known if I didn't give it a try.

My favorite local Italian food - easy, casual, delicious. You can’t go wrong, but the Rigatoni alla Norcina is fantastic.

Absolutely fantastic italian food. Pizza Like you would espect only in Italy. Prices are ok for the quality you get
28.10.2017 Micke
Great restaurant in Little Italy. Dishes prepared carefully and a variety to choose from. We tried the meatballs, risotto and pizza and all dishes were very good.
22.10.2017 Dan
The best panna cotta I’ve ever had. Great pizza and nice people here.

We ordered one appetizer (Risotto Croquettes) and two Pasta and none of the was teasty. We waited for our orders for almost 40 minutes. Very expensive for what you get.
