Very cozy rooms with comfortable beds. The front desk folks were very friendly and super helpful. Even the valet helped unload our luggage! The have two free pinball games to play and a old school street fighter arcade cabinet. Apparently they rotate out the games periodically, which is super cool. Also from 5-6 they have a free happy hour for hotel guests. Three options: an ipa, a seltzer and a NA rootbeer.

Room was clean, staff were very friendly, lobby was very nice. But I was not impressed with the room. We were in a room that faced another building, no natural light. The room photos are certainly working overtime and maybe it's because there was no natural light. The bathroom looked like something from a hospital. The shower head might have been the worst I've experienced in a hotel - no spray, just a straight shot, and not high enough.

Everything was great, parking was awful and expensive. Only other thing was the bed was hard as a rock.

I had a great time staying at Hotel Lucia, heritage building in an exceedingly convenient location downtown. The rooms are clean and things are handy. There is coffee and hot cocoa in the morning and what a treat! I could rely on both Uber and public transportation to get to the touristy sites. Plenty of food choices around, and could not ask for more!

Friendly staff, clean room, Nespresso coffee maker, bluetooth clock radio, comfy bed and soft towels. Walkable to coffee shops, restaurants, shopping and sites such as the Portland Art Museum. Parking lot across the street has EV chargers on the lower floor. Small exercise room but well maintained equipment.

The staff at Hotel Lucia are fantastic! The rooms are clean and even though I was on a major street, the room was also quiet (this can be a problem at historic hotels, but not this one!). The location in downtown PDX is also great — you’re near to all the greats like Powells City of Books, Pioneer Square, and if you don’t mind a short walk (short for me, at least), Washington Park and the Rose Garden. Public transportation is also a snap.

A few downsides: there’s no in-hotel restaurant. So, if you get in later like I did, you won’t have a place to grab dinner and drinks. Same goes for breakfast (though the 5a coffee service was appreciated and there’s LOADS of nearby restaurants to get breakfast — I recommend St. Honore Bakery if you like the glutinous!). I’d also like a bit higher end toiletries as well given the price of the room.

We had a nice stay. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. I think it was good value for what we paid.

19.11.2025 Chris

Great location. Rooms were designed well and had a very good vibe. Love the cocktail hour and the free lil arcade. Staff was amazing as wee

This place is false advertising. We used to live in Portland and I was excited to treat my husband to a night in the city for his birthday. Thought we’d have an exterior room but arrived to get this tiny dark interior room on the corner. Rooms are super small and on the older side. We tried to request a different room but was told everyone had checked in and the hotel was sold out. Yet people arrived at midnight and got an exterior room. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. The air ventilation was super loud but this made it nice to drown out sounds. And I liked that the radio when we arrived was playing my favorite genre of music. But that’s all I really liked about this hotel.

Clean room. Staff was very nice and helpful. Parking was a little challenging but this hotel does offer valet if interested. Overall, good place to stay.
