Holiday Sands at South Beach in Myrtle Beach

Nice location with an ocean view. Had a couple cockroaches in our room, the dryer was busted up. Some of the cupboards could stand to be redone. Over all it's a nice place to stay. The staff was amazing. Could use some bathrooms on the ground floor or port-a-toliets outside so people don't have to get on an elevator to go to the bathroom.

Okay to be truthful, I have mixed feelings about this hotel! So, I will be very fair w my review!
Myrtle Beach is BEACH and Attractions! This place definitely offers this!! Oceanfront and centrally located! About 10 blocks plus from Family Kingdom Amusement Park...Definitely walkable! About 20 blocks from Boardwalk About 10 blocks or less from pier around 34th street in South Myrtle!!

BUT, this is an older hotel w 2 buildings! It has indoor pool, lazy river, outdoor pool, beach access plenty of parking!!! Its just old and needs some major money sunk back into the place!! Which is the part I dont get!! The buildings are the selling point and yet the owners dont highlight or reinvest into their moneymaker!!

Beds are hard as rocks and so is the pillows so bring your own. I had to go to Dollar General and buy me a pillow!! Dollar General About 2 blocks back and 10 blocks down w free parking best location for your trip needs!!
Owner needs to update rooms w a few cosmetics, take out old smelly carpets put in faux hardwood flooring less mess and easy cleanup! Get bathfitters or a tile man to update bathrooms!! Paint the rooms!! Change the bedding!! Put some money back into this joint!!

It was clean but we had to keep asking for towels!! It was an efficiency so we had full alley kitchen w full size stove sink and frig, a great plus for our group of 7...4 adults 😀 3 kids. It was equipped with 2 nice TVs and 2 separate sleeping areas w 3 full size beds not Queen beds that it advertised!!
Would I stay here again!! Probably not! I paid $570 for 3 nights in later March...there was cheaper down the street in same condition!! This price should have at least got me a friendlier staff...front desk needs some improvement!!

The location was fantastic.. the lazy river and indoor pool were nice because of the weather being cold and rainy. The price was great. We will return.
