2. The Wi-Fi in the hotel leaves much to be desired. In the room, the Wi-Fi signal was barely there and was only available in certain areas. It’s strange to see this in a new hotel. For people who need a stable connection in their room for work, it’s better to consider another hotel.
3. On departure, we were refused the ‘late check-out’ service due to a lack of available rooms in the hotel (the hotel was full, according to the receptionist, who didn’t even ask for my room number or those of my friends). However, on the Accor website, rooms in our category were available for booking on that day.
In the first room, several power outlets didn’t work, and shortly after, the air conditioner stopped working too. We were moved to a second room — appliances worked, but the glass shower doors in the bathroom were covered in a layer of construction dust, as if the room had been handed over without a final cleaning. On day two, housekeeping was done properly. On day three, they simply made the bed — no fresh towels, no water replenished. For a property under this brand, that’s not acceptable.
The spa complex on level –1 is not ready to receive guests. The pool water was cold, the showers had construction dust, and there was no hot water at all. This isn’t a “minor issue” — it’s a facility that should not have been opened in this state. If a zone isn’t ready, you close it; you don’t sell it as part of a five-star service.
Then there was the late check-out. We had a late flight and asked at reception to extend the room by a few hours. The staff member, without opening the system, without checking the screen, without a single click, immediately replied that the hotel was fully booked and an extension was impossible. I stepped away from the desk, opened the booking website, and saw rooms openly available for sale on that exact date. In other words, I was lied to, point blank — to avoid bothering with a guest who had already checked in and wasn’t generating new revenue. For a hotel positioning itself as a premium international brand, this is a level of service I genuinely did not expect to encounter.
A polished exterior covering an unfinished property, perfunctory housekeeping, an unready spa, and front-desk staff willing to refuse before they think. Mövenpick as a brand should be answering for this — because what’s currently operating under that sign in Tashkent is something else entirely.
I'll definitely stay in this hotel again
