This is the perfect place to unwind and relax. The setting is so lovely...leafy, green and tranquil with a great pool to enjoy. The beds are super comfy. The breakfast is very good and the morning team can't do enough to cater for your every need. Special mention to Preppy for that! The staff and the service provided was excellent . Thank you Mr Anh for all your help and running such a courteous, efficient and friendly team. We personally liked the location being in a quieter part of Phu Quoc. It's easy to get about on a scooter or use the bikes which are at your disposal. Otherwise it's a 10 mins walk to a handful of really good restaurants. ( we ate at Rambutan multiple times) The hotel offers a shuttle service too. Small price to pay for the blissful tranquility you'll find here away from the hustle and bustle of the main town. We spent a very happy 3 wks here at the start of a 10 week tour of Vietnam. So pleased we found this place ...we'd gladly return in a heartbeat.

I liked the location, surrounded by jungle. The hotel itself is cute. Breakfasts are standard, but the beach is very far, so you definitely need to rent a scooter.

An excellent place that makes you want to return! The first impression of a country is always the most important, and this hotel did not disappoint us. We were greeted by a friendly administrator at the cozy reception. After checking in, we exchanged contacts and WhatsApp info, and he then escorted us to our bungalow. The grounds are beautiful, like our own little piece of jungle. There's a lot of greenery, a swimming pool, a fish pond, and a garden with corn, pineapples, and dragon fruit. The restaurant is excellent, with delicious and varied breakfasts. It also serves lunch and dinner, and functions as a bar at other times. There's also a billiards table. We stayed in a 'bungalow with a pool view.' This is the best choice because it's a bungalow with a terrace overlooking the pool, and a balcony on the other side with a garden and jungle view. In the evening, the only sounds breaking the silence are cicadas and frogs. Inside the bungalow, there's a large bed with a comfortable mattress and pillows, plus a sofa, wardrobe, refrigerator, air conditioning, TV, WiFi, and a shower with a jungle view. The hotel offers scooter rentals for 150,000 VND (approx. 450 RUB) per day, and free bicycles. Within a 3-minute scooter ride, you'll find restaurants, a laundry service, markets, and a beach (not suitable for swimming due to rocks). A 15-minute scooter ride north on the main highway takes you to Vinpearl Safari and Grand World; a 15-minute ride south takes you to the central area with bars, restaurants, and shops; and a 40-minute ride south leads to Coconut Prison, Khem Beach, the cable car, and 'Little Europe.'

I definitely recommend it!

We decided to visit Phu Quoc. I decided to stay a little further out from the busy downtown area. After reading a few reviews for this location, I booked 3 nights at the resort.

We arrived a few hours early. The resort manager (Huu Anh) greeted us at the front desk with a friendly smile. He quickly checked us in without any problem. He upgraded us to a pool side room with no additional charge.

The room was awesome and very clean. While we were there the manager assisted us with renting 2 scooters. $6 dollar each for 1 full day.

Overall, the resort was fantastic. The place was nice and clean. The breakfast was delicious. All the staff were kind, friendly, and helpful. I would definitely recommend others to come to Bambusa Resort.

What can we say about Bambusa.... it was a big part of the joy that we had in Phu Quoc. Location seems distant, but it's actually very good. It's away from noise and busy roads, has a wonderful restaurant terrace and swimming pool. The breakfast was great, room very spacious too (photo is of the swimming pool and restaurant/bar terrace from our room). I've seen other reviews indicating that the hotel is old. I didn't feel that it's old. It's clearly not brand new, but you can see it's being constantly maintained and is fully functional in all important aspects. The staff is very helpful too.

Some recommendations:
- rent a scooter. You can do it in the hotel lobby. It's convenient, affordable, and you are ~10 minutes from Duong Dong, with plenty of restaurants, bars, the night market, etc. We rented a scooter, and used it to move around in the island, to go to some distant beaches, to Duong Dong, Sun World, and so on.
- visit the Wood House Restaurant. It's 5 minute walk from the hotel. Truly familiar restaurant with great atmosphere and good food. You can even borrow bicycles in the hotel for free, and be there in 1-2 mins.

The vibes at Bambusa Resort were incredibly chill and the service very helpful. The resort was quiet and off the beaten path, away from some of the louder tycoon resorts, which was a huge plus for us. It’s located not far from the ocean, however still a little trek if you’re looking for beach front. That being said it is peaceful due to its location further afield yet still close to many places to get food and coffee.

The hotel is a bit old. The breakfast is good, but basic. It's quite a distance from the sea, and there are no sunbeds on the beach.

During our stay in December 2025 the service provided by Anh and all the staff at Bambusa was excellent. Nestled in the jungle of Ong Lang Village, Bambusa provided the perfect location to restore and recharge in a quiet environment.

It is a resort that has a very peaceful air and all the residents were similarly enjoying the pool, reading. There was no loudness or rowdiness which could sometimes be felt in the busier areas of the island.

The food was consistently good and always served with excellent service from breakfast to evening.

Anh was great at suggesting personal recommendations for our time and pointed us in directions which we could not have found without his advice.
