I recently completed a 4-night stay at Hoi An River Town Resort & Spa, and it was truly the highlight of my trip. From the moment I checked in, I felt an incredible sense of peace and hospitality that is rare to find.
​The resort itself is stunning and impeccably maintained, but what makes this place extraordinary is the genuine heart of the staff. Throughout my four days here, every single team member treated me with such warmth and professional care, making me feel like part of the family. Whether it was the serene poolside, the rejuvenating spa, or the delicious breakfast, every detail was perfect.

I can’t say enough about Rivertown Hoi An Resort &Spa. Our room on the 7th floor has everything we need, comfortable beds, great air conditioning and ceiling fan, lovely balcony with nice chairs, and adequate storage. While the room isn’t huge, it certainly meets our needs (senior couple). The breakfast buffet makes it a challenge to choose what to have each day, it’s all delicious. The 2 pool areas are great for lounging around when you don’t want to go into town, I can attest to that.
But where this hotel absolutely excels is in its staff. We have been made to feel welcome and cared for by everyone we’ve had even the slightest interaction with. I especially have to give a huge huge shoutout to Tram in reception. I had the misfortune of having my wallet stolen and she actually took us to the police station in a taxi and stayed with us to translate while we made a report. She was an absolute godsend. I don’t think we’ve ever had such kind and caring service anywhere. So what was an unfortunate incident was made less daunting with her assistance. Thank you so much Tram!
And thank you to all the staff who are true professionals in their field.

We stayed here for 6 night over lunar New year. The staff and lovely and helpful, the rooms are spacious, with small balcony and well. Shower and bathroom are excellent. Water stations on each level for hot and cold water.
Breakfast buffet is lovely and fresh and great selection.
I also used the Lemongrass spa for facial and it was also very good.
Slightly away from noisy area, but we easy to get around.
Beautiful large pool with plenty of sun lounges and covers.

They upgraded our room because of our honey room. Really friendly staff! The best breakfast Buffett we had on our 3 week travels through Vietnam & Thailand. Rooms were well presented and tidy & services good. Awesome having access tot the bikes to get around town we loved that. Had a great 2 hour ritual massage too. Great time!!

A wonderful hotel, perfectly placed 10 mins walk from the centre of the old town so beautifully quiet. We had a lovely welcome with tea provided for us. The staff were superb, very friendly and were interested and engaged with the guests. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Great breakfast, 2 pools: a splash pool for kids and decent sized pool for adults. The owners/proprietors take great effort to keep the garden and grounds looking stunning. A lovely spa for massages and treatments was available at very reasonable prices. The room was very comfortable with a balcony overlooking the motorbike bridge, which contrary to another review, we didn’t find it in the slightest bit noisy. The gardens are very much themed in well-being and space and sitting there with an early evening cocktail was an absolute joy. I would definitely stay there again and recommend.

A beautiful hotel right on the edge of the hustle and bustle of the old town of Hoi An. Our room had everything you could want with a beautiful balcony overlooking the hotel pool and the river. It's was spotless and a good size but the best feature were the staff. From arranging and airport transfer to the welcome we received and all the way through the duration of our stay they were friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The mornings buffet breakfast was a delight with every Western and Vietnamese option available, tasty and in good supply, and set us up perfectly for our day ahead. I'd love to return one day and can't recommend it highly enough.

We picked this hotel based on the reviews which talked about it being a relaxing location. The reviews were absolutely correct.
We were collected from our previous location by a hotel driver and had an interesting and informative drive to the hotel.
Our room had a lovely view of the river, however there is a bridge across the river which was ridiculously noisy, which meant sitting on the balcony was not really an option. However once inside the beautiful room with the balcony door firmly closed, we had the best 4 nights sleep of our holiday. Do not book a river view room if you want to sit quietly on the balcony.
Breakfast is an absolute feast with fresh food and something for everyone, and of course the staff were so friendly and helpful.
The resort is in a quiet location but only a 10 minute walk to the old town or to the night market, both of which are wonderful to visit.
The resort has two pools, one for children under 10 and the other for adults including children over 10. Unfortunately on our first day there the adult pool was full of young screaming children, which as you can imagine was not relaxing. The following 3 days this was not a problem and many an hour was spent relaxing by the pool and swimming in the the warm waters. We had a full body massage in the Lemongrass Spa. It was truly lovely and added to the holiday relaxation vibe.
We booked the hotel transport to take us to the airport, it was effortless and well worth the $18
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the An Retreat Resort and Spa, and felt totally relaxed at the end of our 4 day stay.

This hotel is up there with being the nicest place we’ve ever stayed. We booked the executive suite based on the size of the room - 78m squared - it far exceeded our expectations. The staff at this hotel are amazing - so friendly, welcoming, accommodating to everyone’s needs. Their warmth and attention to detail was what really stood out for us. The breakfast was also a major plus - it really set us up for the day and we looked forward to it every morning. This hotel is a dreamy oasis of relaxation and calm in beautiful Hoi An.

4 star hotel living up to its rating. Friendly attentive and helpful staff all around. Free bicycles for use 24/7 and monitored parking for motorbike.

The free Breakfast is seriously average…honestly with SOMUCH cheap and good morning food stalls with plastic seats under umbrellas, I’d advise to skip the tourist selections and go walk/bike and explore instead. Convenient to fill your empty water bottle up with coffee and drink on ice later in your room though ;)

Decently clean rooms and good location just across the bridge from old town. Not deathly sunny/hot if you’re staying in the rooms facing the hotel royal. Free bicycles for use 24/7 and monitored parking for motorbike.

Room service fast with ice and providing amenities here and there. Concierge can help advise on food and sights if you’re into that. Follow my reviews if you want some phenomenal gems.

Amazing stay at this lovely hotel.
Staff are very helpful and friendly.
Location is spot on away from the hustle and bustle but not too far away.
On the second day staff knew my breakfast preferences and took initiative.

Honestly the best hotel we stayed at during the 7 weeks that we are in Asia now. The breakfast is really really really good, the hotel is very pretty and well maintained. But the staff is truly what makes this place best, from the reception to the door man and the cook, they are so friendly and did everything they could to make our stay amazing (from fixing the bike with kids seat, to organizing a breakfast box on our departure day. And from making the gym mosquito free, to helping our kids during breakfast). We also got a room upgrade by the way. Service level 10/10. Thanks a million, will recommend Ann to all friends and family who will visit Hoi An!
