Hoi An Ancient House Resort And Spa in Hoi An

I booked this hotel after seeing it on YouTube. It's actually quite worn down over the years, and although the room has a bathtub, it smells damp. The cleaning level is on par with Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, so it's not for those with a particular eye for cleanliness. Since I was only staying one night, the night before my flight home, it was manageable. It has a small pool, and the hotel's elaborate design features many rooms on a small plot of land. Hoi An Town is about a 20-minute walk away, and there's a shuttle bus, but GRAB costs about 400 yen. There are plenty of dining options around the hotel. While the price is reasonable, it's acceptable. There are several newer, cleaner hotels across the street and nearby for the same price or less, so it might not be worth choosing this one. The restaurant is particularly noteworthy. I used it during Happy Hour, but it was a bit too dirty. There was a fork (presumably belonging to the previous guest) left under the table. At breakfast, there was a note with the room number checked at the entrance, and the female staff member simply stood there with her arms crossed and silent. (She was the only one with a terrible attitude.) The other staff members spoke English and were friendly. I skipped breakfast and went to a delicious pho restaurant next to the hotel, which I would recommend for both hygienic and psychological reasons.

The room was very clean, and the staff were all very kind.
