Reviews
The beachfront location is definitely a highlight, and the included parking and beach umbrella were convenient. The hotel was quiet during my stay, which I appreciated.
I had breakfast and dinner included in my reservation. The food was generally good, and the dinner buffet changed nightly. However, the drinks were disappointing—only tap water was available, and the filtered water had a bad smell. Even bottled water seemed to be refilled with tap water, which I’d advise future guests to avoid.
Restaurant staff were friendly and welcoming, but the check-in experience was less pleasant. I’d recommend checking your room thoroughly before making any payments.
Overall, Hotel Kamomil has potential, especially with its location and food, but there are areas that need improvement—particularly transparency with room changes and drink quality.
Would I recommend it? Yes and no. If you’re looking for a quiet beachfront stay and don’t mind a few inconveniences, it might work for you. But be cautious about what you’re paying for.
This is a family owned and operated hotel and you could really feel and see the attention to detail.
I stayed for a total of five days.
The rooms were cleaned daily and I must say the house keeping team were flexible to my requests.
Food is served buffet style for breakfast and dinner and is included in the price with the rooms per night. A la carte options are also available.
I must say I over did it with the food, I was eating two plates per seating.
This is my first time at the hotel and it definitely will not be the last.
Hotel Kamil@ Shkembi I Kavajes see you next time.
As in the previous years, everything was fantastic (food, accommodation, service).
What really impressed me this time was that during our stay we needed medical services. The friendly hotel staff, primarily Jorida (she is a doctor) and her daughter,
made themselves available and resolved the problem in a very professional manner without any charge.
All praise and of course see you next year...
The hotel staff were very helpful, attentive, and friendly. Special thanks to Nicolas for his friendly attitude, attention, and efforts.
The rooms were spacious and clean. Almost every day, we returned to a spotless room with fresh towels. The rooms had beautiful views, either of the mountains or the sea.
The open buffet meals were very delicious. As someone with a sensitive stomach, I experienced no issues at all. I especially recommend the seafood from the à la carte menu — both the taste and presentation were better than what I've had in many other places.
The sea and beach were fantastic. The water temperature was ideal. The beach has fine sand, and sometimes there can be waves in the sea, which might bring some sea plants to the shore. (This is part of the natural texture of the Adriatic and shouldn’t be a problem for you.)
For those visiting Durrës for the first time, I’d say: enjoy the wonderful nature and sea, and meet the amazing local people. If I get another chance, I would definitely come back to this wonderful hotel. Thank you for everything!
New construction with spaceous rooms and well furnished.
Cleaning is excellent and staff is very friendly.
Breakfast below average. Not to many choices of selection.
Beach: good enough, though umbrellas and beach beds could be better. Space from umbrella to umbrella is very good and gives some intimacy.
Bar: yet is not well supplied.
Value for money: very good comparing to competition around.

Unfriendly personel, long waiting time, bad tasting food served in the worst way.
So I decided not to eat anymore here but today I went there just to have a coffee around 11 am.
I was with my family and we ordered different things from the bar.
My order never arrived and around 12 pm they have responded that they couldn't serve anything from the bar except lunch.
So I wouldn't recommend you to visit this place.
Don't waste your time and nerves here??
