The location is perfect, the room is big but very old and need renovation. the staff is not friendly or helpful.
We booked this hotel cause we saw that they have baby cribs, and as we arrived and asked for one, the receptionist told as that we have 3 beds in the room that we can use! the beds are of course for adults and not for a 9 months old baby who might fall of the bed at night. I insisted on getting a crib and the receptionist told as to use pillows as protection on the sides!!! because it would be too much work for him to get the crib into our room!!!
The hotel restaurant didn't have high chairs for babies so my daughter had to sit on my lab during breakfast for the whole stay and I had to wash both of my clothes and hers after each meal !!!
The next day we got old beach towels and were told to keep the dirty towls after we use them to use them again next day on the beach!!! 😅

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Kaonia Hotel in Sarandë and can only give our highest recommendations! The hotel is perfectly located, the rooms were spotless and cleaned daily, and the service was outstanding from start to finish. A very special thanks goes to Enea Sotiri, who provided us with truly exceptional service throughout our stay. He took the time to give us valuable information about the city, helped us with bus schedules, and recommended fantastic attractions in the area around Sarandë. On our departure day, he went above and beyond by assisting us in getting safely to the ferry even in stormy weather, which made a huge difference for us. Kaonia Hotel is definitely a place we would love to return to. The combination of warm hospitality, excellent service, a great location, and the beauty of Albania makes it the perfect choice for anyone seeking a memorable experience. We can only recommend both the hotel and a visit to beautiful Albania! 🌟

“Great location, but room didn’t match expectations”
We stayed at Hotel Kaonia and really appreciated the fantastic seafront location—you’re right on the promenade with easy access to restaurants and the water.
Unfortunately, the room itself didn’t meet our expectations. We booked what was advertised as a sea view room, but found the view completely blocked by another building—there’s barely any glimpse of the sea. It was quite disappointing.
Another downside: there was no complimentary bottled water in the room upon arrival, which felt inattentive for a hotel in a tourist destination.
In summary, while the location is unbeatable, the room failed to deliver on what was promised and lacked even basic courtesy amenities. With improvements in room quality and guest welcome, this hotel could be much better.

Perfect location by the sea, clean and comfortable rooms, and incredibly friendly staff. Everything was just right for a relaxing stay in Saranda. Highly recommended!

Hotel room was very clean, but balcony was towards backside of the hotel. The view was to parking place and trash bins. 5am every morning came trash truck to empty bins. Location good next to the beach. Breakfast ok.

The room was nice and clean with a balcony. It had a view over the beach. The hotel is within walking distance of the ferry. The price was reasonable.
