Villa Doka in Sarande

So, we booked a room from 9th to 16th August through Booking. When we booked it, the description mentioned sea view, pictures had sea view, the room didn't. We spoke with them about it, they said we should've selected the sea view camera but they will give us a camera with sea view in 2 days. Didn't happened.

We got over that but the main problem was the poorly insulated walls: you can hear noises from other rooms and it's very, very hot in the room: you need to stay with the AC( which is old and doesn't perform well) all night on and the AC in our room was in front of the bed. So we had to choose between sweating like in a sauna or stay with the AC on max on and wake up with a stiff neck and headache. We tried to let the AC on during the day but they closed it. We tried to speak with them to let it open during the day or at least start it from 5-6 PM (since they are leaving there as well), but they didn't wanted it. What they offered was to let it open 1 hour while they we're cleaning the rooms, with a take it or leave it attitude. There was no effort whatsoever to help us solve this problem and after 4 nights without proper sleep we decided to leave earlier from them. Of course they didn't offered money back for the remaining days or some apologies.
There's also the sound insulation problem: the bedroom is next to the neighbors bathroom: you can hear them showering, flushing the toilet. Also the chickens from outside in the morning.
There are ants moving freely in the room despite they are cleaning the rooms.

The pro parts: The room looks like in the pictures, also the bathroom. They clean the rooms daily(closing the AC during that clean)

The hosts need to learn how to communicate with customers, try to really understand their needs and find a solution for it. Asking "Is everything alright?" as a daily greeting on a demanding tone is not friendly at all.

I cannot recommend this accommodation. Think twice and skip it if you can't handle heat, noise and rude staff!
