Oricon Coast Luxury Resort & SPA in Vlore

Very disappointing food experience. The meals were served cold and lacked any care or quality. For a fully prepaid stay, we expected warm, properly prepared food , not something that feels left over or rushed.
It honestly makes you wonder if the kitchen staff ever try the food themselves before serving it. If they wouldn’t eat it, why should guests? Communication was another issue, as no one in the kitchen seemed to speak English, making it hard to raise any concerns.

New hotel, horrible quality of food, all inclusive is not true (without food time 10-11am and 2:30 - 5pm) snack (fruits) was just first 10 min, no ice cream for children, ala carte restaurant - good quality, only one drink (we wanted wine - we got it, but with a big problems), problem with reservation - upon arrival the gentleman claimed that we do not have a reservation, ask for a paper from the reception, queue for coffee at pool bar, juice with 3% juice, wine from a carton, coffee machine at breakfast that was not functional from 9am, food was repeated. pizza was good first two days, then it was already pre-prepared and fried. Cleaning was a disaster. I do not recommend.

Five-star hotel? More like a five-alarm warning.

If you're searching for an unforgettable vacation experience, this hotel delivers—just not in the way you’d hope. What was promised as a luxurious five-star retreat turned out to be a crash course in survival, disappointment, and disbelief.

Under construction… permanently
Instead of elevators, you’ll find bricked-up holes with “Out of Order” signs. Electrical sockets are a gamble—plug something in and prepare for sparks, bangs, and tripped circuit breakers. Someone even thought it wise to install an outlet *inside the shower*. Because who doesn’t love a little electrocution with their morning rinse?

Privacy? A spectator sport.
The bathroom is fully glass-walled, with no curtains or covering. When my girlfriend showered, it became a free show for anyone on neighboring balconies. Somewhere between poor design and gross negligence, the concept of privacy clearly got lost.

Pool? More like a swamp.
The water was green, filled with algae, and visibly decaying. After two days, even the staff stopped pretending it might be cleaned. It was less “relaxing swim” and more “risk of skin rash.”

Dining & service: An insult to hospitality
Food was always the same: cold, greasy, and served without cutlery. Drinks came in plastic cups, as if we were at a roadside burger shack. The staff didn’t speak English and showed zero willingness to understand or help. Questions were met with blank stares. Opening hours and prices changed daily, seemingly on a whim—one day breakfast ends at 10:30, the next it’s 10:00. Espresso cost 100 Lek one morning, 200 the next. Albanian inflation, or just mood-based pricing?

Final thoughts: enter at your own risk
If you're after adrenaline, public showers, fluctuating meal times, and the thrill of wondering whether this might be your final swim or meal, congratulations—you've found your dream spot. For everyone else: run.
